I remember someone posting on another board that Sony didn't want to spend the money digitizing the 35mm master tapes of Farmers Daughter and the went looking for the 30 year old 16mm tape transfers that CBN used and couldn't find them and told Antenna TV tough luck.

FD is now going to be on of those shows that will probably never see the light of day again. Older shows are neglected and the companies don't want to spend money releasing them.

Yes, Antenna TV still airs Bachelor Father, a show I've grown to love. That Sammee Tong is hilarious. Weird I guess, but JF looks very average to me on BF, he looks a lot more "dashing" with the grey hair as Blake.

Geesh, can you imagine what George Peppard would have thought of Joan Collins!? He would have [!@#$%^&*] a purple turd watching her meteoric rise and dealing with her diva ways.

LOL....George Peppard was a horrible person and didn't get along with anybody. He got Melinda Culea kicked off A-Team and told her it was a mans show. I also read he didn't like that Christine Belford was cast on his old series Banacek and thought it was strictly a mans show. He ended that series because he didn't want his ex-wife Elizabeth Ashley to get any profits from it because of their divorce. He was kicked off Password Plus in 1979 after he started fighting with the judges over the game and went on a rant.

John James said when he introduced himself to Peppard, he blew cigar smoke in his face and walked off.

I have heard from ONE person who had an enjoyable working experience with George Peppard - Maylo McCaslin (Sally Taylor, SB, 1984-85). She said on FB that she loved working with him on The A-Team and that while all the cast was great to her, Mr. Peppard was her favorite and took her under his wing.

It was no secret that he had a major problem with alcohol - but when interviewed by ET towards the end of his life, he was honest about it. He seemed to have mellowed a bit by then, having married his last wife. She wasn't in show business - I believe she was a realtor or a broker.

LOL at John James and Nolan. I love Nolan's archive interview, he could be a catty bitch and I imagine an absolute joy to hang out with, he probably had the best stories. R.I.P., how could you ever do a Dynasty reboot without him? Bob Mackie, I suppose.

I've seen that infamous Peppard rant on Password. Poor Alan Ludden looked like he wanted to crawl out of his skin and wring Peppard's neck at the same time.

I don't know if there was trouble with him and Audrey Hepburn. In the same ET interview I mentioned, which took place in 1993 (he passed in 1994) not long after she had passed away, the ET reporter asked him for comment. He said he couldn't talk about it because it upset him so much. He had tears in his eyes while he said that.

    • Am I remembering correctly that the Madison's lived in a Spanish revival-style house? I have a vague recollection of the fireplace looking especially Spanish in style. It is unusual that Montecello had so many architectural styles.  Obviously, that might occur IRL.  But, look at other east coast soaps and there is a definitive style that is throughout (because it was styled by a set decorator) regardless of the income of the occupants.
    • @kalbir MSW was a powerhouse for CBS. Angela Lansbury was a superb actress. In 1985, TV viewers were tiring of the primetime soaps and the like. People wanted storytelling and MSW was great at that and had great guest stars. Storytelling -- an amazing and novel concept. CBS Daytime by 1985 was beating ABC so CBS was on the upswing.
    • I'd say just the opposite - conflict means they will find out and then be at odds. For the limited amount of time people on this show have conflict (if they aren't named Nina or Ric, I guess).
    • Totes mcgoats (aka I agree). But, now the character needs to move forward.  Clyde's exit was 12/11/24.  It is May.  She and Chad have been on one date. I don't think they've slept together. And she was only planning on sticking around for a year.
    • That is one of the best insults I've heard in a long time.  I burst out laughing when Kat called Eva that.  LOL Their scenes, of course, were really good.  Colby and Ambyr have so much chemistry.  The only thing I'd change is Kat saying "you're dead to me."  That's a phrase usually said about someone you care about.  I would've preferred something like "You will never be my sister," or something similar to that.  Nice contrast at the end with both mothers/daughters:  Kat comforting/consoling her mother, and Eva being locked out by her mother.  Yeah, I wasn't a big of fan of the singing either, especially after your daughter's life has been destroyed.  What?  LOL And I also agree with those that thought Dana/Leslie's scenes with the Dupree's didn't feel right since Eva is not a Dupree....unless she is.  But as of right now, she's not.
    • Trisha Mann-Grant, Ambyr Michelle, Sean Freeman are destined for bigger and better things. They need to move on as soon as their initial contracts are done.
    • Daphnée Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant on Instagram live, 5/5/2025 just concluded, saved here https://www.instagram.com/p/DJSsYb7PDv8/
    • I really need to see Anita in a scene that isn't with a family member. In fact, I would have preferred that she would have gotten rid of the mob and had a one on one with Leslie to lay down the law with her.  I'm going to say it, Mike Manning has been completely lifeless on this show. Other than people's superficial fondness for him, I don't get what they see in him as an actor. I never saw him on DAYS though. The show had another really strange cut right before the opening credits where it looked like they almost cut off Nicole mid-sentence.  Kat/Eva are carrying this show on their backs. Lock them in for lifetime contracts, I beg.
    • There's a 1980 scene of Victor and Katherine in the Chancellor Estate living room where they went over a contract that would put Victor in charge of Chancellor Industries, but it was rewritten that Katherine brought Victor to Genoa City so he could run Chancellor Industries.
    • Put me in the minority in being happy about Cat not being Abby. After the two adult recasts played tag with the role, it's time for a few years of rest. I have a huge list of things I hate about RC's writing, but that choice was not one of them.
