Members whitelighter72
I'm trying to write a Santa Barbara/Falcon Crest crossover and was hoping to get some ideas. I envision it taking place in the spring of 1985. So far I have: - It's revealed that CC is the cousin of Richard Channing, who owns the newspaper the San Francisco Globe. - I might tie it in with the Amanda Lockridge treasure storyline since around this time a crime group was searching for Nazi treasure buried under Falcon Crest and/or - Tie it in with Amy's baby storyline since her ex, Jeff, lived in San Francisco and Brick went up to investigate him. Plus, the actor who played Dr. Renfro on SB made an appearance earlier that season on Falcon Crest as a character tied in with the Nazi treasure storyline. Perhaps it could turn out to be the same character. - At some point Angela Channing and Augusta would square off. Any thoughts? Members Contessa Donatella
I wonder why they didn't go on & say that Santa Barbara is owned by Disney?!!! SANTA BARBARA was owned by the Dobsons who sold it to New World which was bought by 20th Century Fox which was bought by Disney. Of the soaps that Disney owns, here's how they stack up on # of episodes, which is a huge consideration: NS 27; City 352; PC 1,537; SB 2,137; LOV 3,169; RH 3,515 & then the rest are all over 10,000 each. Members Liberty City
I'd love to watch in pure quality... not VHS rips. Probably because he is one of the two main creators? Or maybe they bought their interest back without us knowing? YUP! Both were amazing, and it's a shame both exited.
Members Khan
Fantastic! SaBa wasn't a perfect show, but when it was "on," it was "ON!".
Members whitelighter72
A couple things confuse me about Amy's baby storyline: How was Jack Lee involved? Had he already been the Capwells' attorney before any of that happened? If so, was it just a coincidence that Amy (who was already remotely connected with the Capwells) was made pregnant by mistake?
Members Liberty City
ABSOLUTELY!!!!! Also... Jill Farren Phelps did a lot wrong, but this was SO right... likely thanks to John Conboy! Members Khan
If I didn't know any better, I'd swear it was Sam Hall and/or Peggy O'Shea who wrote that scene. OLTL's the only other soap I know of that would have something like that on their show.
Members Liberty City
Was this during the Maralyn Thoma era? Just a brilliant scene... before Phyllis Summers we had Flame Beaufort!
Members j swift
I don't know if you've ever read the French fansite, but it is an excellent resource for these types of questions. For example, I'd totally forgotten that he was Kirk's father. http://santabarbara-online.com/jack2.htm Even if the translation sometime requires further translation to make sense Please register in order to view this content Edited June 23, 2024 by j swift
Members Wendy
I personally didn't see the scene, but I read that is also sort of how Lucy Coe was introduced on GH, after first being shown as a mousy sort before the big reveal scene...
Members Liberty City
I hate that their website isn't accessible anymore, due to SSQ failure.
Members Ryan Mason
That's what I was thinking of. I didn't watch GH until years later through YouTube because it was SB's competitor, but it was rather similar: Please register in order to view this content
Members Keri
Imo the Flame scene was much better than the Lucy Coe scene. But Lynn Herring played the mousy part much more believably than Roberta. I'm just watching the Lucy Coe story now. Amy's baby storyline. I have simply never made it through that.
