Wow...just wow. Is this really, truly AMC? Because I thought that I'd never enjoy watching the show this much anymore, ever. I mean, I keep in mind all of the horrible [!@#$%^&*] that's gone on so far, but I can't help but love today's episode. It has dramatic moments, funny moments, poignant moments...it's really, really good.

And holy [!@#$%^&*], Jamie just mentioned Tara. I think I'm gonna go catch me one of them flying pigs down in frozen hell!

Okay, previews for tomorrow...did they go back to the soapy look? If they did, THANK GOD! They really ARE trying to lure me back into this trainwreck!

Well...it's MY trainwreck!

The show wasn't that bad today.

I know AMC will break my heart next week probably but I am in Jack and Erica heaven today. I loved Erica in jeans; the bed scenes; the scenes in the park; and the love they clearly show for one another today. :):P

I loved Sean/Colby and the banter between them and also with Erica and Jack. I loved that we saw some of the humor of the K/M clan especially when Jack was trying to get rid of Sean so he could be alone with Erica  WW has great chemistry with kids on this show.

I loved Tad seeing Kate for the first time. We have yet another gorgeous child cast on this show that I want to take home :D Loved Tad/Dixie's talk too.

I liked Jamie and Julia a lot today which is saying something for me

I like Bianca and Zarf :)

I FF anything Chandler these days which makes me sad but I hate the Carey women. Can I get lucky enough for Babe to be one of the serial killers victims? <_<

LOL - man I can't believe they mentioned Tara!! I had to tape the show today and I'm about to go watch it - but they have seriously done a great job this last month giving us nods to history, great soap storytellling, and bringing us back to the warm feel that has always been AMC.

Ok just watched...GREAT show!

Sydney Penny was Amazing in the beginning when she found out that Kathy's father died. Great tears, great acting. I'm so happy we're seeing more of Julia other than nurse or once a week girlfriend.

The Erica/Jack scenes were soooo cute and I am so back to loving those two together. I agree that the Sean/Colby/Erica/Jack scene was funny and Walt is great with younger people. Erica looked great in those jeans too!

Call me crazy, but that one scene with Josh and Babe - and Babe pretending to not care and Josh just giving that devilish smile...SO cute! The ending was great too - I'm glad they haven't let us forget that there is a killer on the loose.

Bianca/Zarf stuff was good too - they just really work well together.

I'm so happy that Tad/Dixie are about back together - I think this Kathy will bring them together as a couple in love. I can't wait. I'm curious as to how they'll prove, or even think that Kathy is really Kate. Meanwhile, Julia will attach herself to the girl...and I think it'll be sad for Julia to give her up to T/D if they show Julia and Kathy getting really close. Depends on how well their scenes are in the future. That little Kathy is so cute though!

I loved the Tara and Jake references...nice that they haven't forgotten the history! AMC is just really great nowadays :)

I wonder if AMC suddenly getting better has anything to do with Kay Alden or Jack Smith?

Babe comes off as such a two-timing fickle tramp, that I actually do want that annoying smug faced Josh to end up with her! FREE JR so he can move on with his life and meet somebody new!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one (along with AlwaysAMC, who is always positive) to see the improvements the past two weeks or so.

The only part I didn't care for today was Josh badgering Babe. I even felt a little sorry for her since she keeps pushing him away and he keeps stalking her, imo.

I even found Zarf somewhat likable today for the first time ever.

I loved how they incorporated the snowman with so many different characters.

I've always thought that Sean & Colby could work as a couple if they took it slowly and I'm feeling the heat between them lately. I hope they continue this way with him not believing in love until he eventually realizes he's fallen for her.

Jack & Erica are so great together after all these years and I just can't get enough of them!

Tad mentioned to Dixie that when he was in despair, he thought he would never get her back, which if I'm not mistaken is the first time since she returned that either of them has mentioned reconciling. I'm really hopeful that they'll grow closer as they search for Kate.

The actress playing Kate/Kathy is so cute! She seems like a natural just like the girl who plays Emma.

This was the first time in over a year that I've seen Sydney Penny really act and I'm so glad she finally got the chance to show what she's capable of. I'm really looking forward to this storyline.

In regards to Sean and Colby, I really enjoyed their scenes, but they only reminded me of what Danielle and Reggie could have been two years ago at this time...

I thought today was a good show as well. AMC has been good for a few weeks now. I guess were in for the seasonal upswing Megan gives us every two seasons. Usually the end of fall/winter and early spring are good but then the summer sucks and so does most of fall.

I do agree Sydney was great and I am glad that Di, Aiden and other are getting more airtime and there is a little more balance to the show.

Erica and Jack were good today. However I don't understand why Erica couldn't simply cancel with Jeff instead of not going with Jack. It's not a good idea to tell your husband your dating.

I found Josh and Babe to be amazing today. Loved them. I know I may be in the minority but I think they have amazing chemistry with eachother and when they were both being smug and snarky with eachother it was just great. There is something there and I always felt that they have great chemistry no matter what they are. Friends, frenemies, lovers, anything. There's alot of potential there and I saw alot of chemistry there. From the get go with Alexa and Colin's first scenes together.

JR's bodyguard sucks. How in the blue hell do you lose someone who is walking in front of you.

Bianca and Zarf have alot of energy. I love that were seeing some of the older sets. The Boathouse, the PV Hotel, the lounge area, the park. It seems like everyone has been isolated lately and we have been seeing people only at either Confusion or at there homes. Glad to know there is a life outside of Fusion/Confusion

Pretty much everything skin said, but I don't give a whit about Babe and Dr. UnAbortion, Coffinmaker. Well, aside from it getting Babe away from JR.

Also, The Big Ole Baby Switch of 2004 Redux of Adam asking Tad to be godfather to his own child with others standing around and keeping their mouths shut....*sigh*

I, too like the use of more sets. I was beyond sick of the Fusion rooftop and Fusion office for every. freakin' thing.

Jack and Erica keep on surprising me by how much they've touched me. And agreed, why the HELL Erica wouldn't just cancel that date with Dr, Wuss Martin, after having "reunited" with Jack the night before? And being coy (which we expect, but still)?

Zarf's New Age windbagginess is getting tiresome. As is his screwing around with the lives of others as though he is Father Clarence's gopher, as a method of dealing with his own demons is also tiresome. I think Jeffrey had a bit of trouble getting through Zarf's wordiness today. I hope that aspect of the character fades away when the reveal happens.

Bianca's job is to sit and stare at him and smile. I swear I saw Eden's eyes glaze over one time. I am happy she's reiterated she's "truly attracted" to women despite Zarf's comments not requiring a response...no matter the motivation for McT and crew adding that in.

My theory:

Before "Kathy's mother" dies, she is going to ask Julia to raise Kathy AKA Kate as her own. Then Julia is going to grow attached to the kid.

Now what I don't know is how long it will be until Tad and Dixie find out the truth. And will Julia give the girl up easily. I hope this doesn't drag out until May sweeps.

This show has GOT to be being ghostwritten.

My theory is maybe ABC bought the Burton Armus story bible and gave it to Carruthers and McTavish. Just like Tony Geary and his writing partner wrote Luke and Laura's return story outline back in 1993 and sold it to ABC so GH could give it to Claire Labine, and in 2001, Geary and his writing partner pitched the outline for "Endgame" which was, in Geary's words, dreadfully "misinterpreted by the head writer [McTavish] at that time."

That's only if all of this Armus crap was true. Because notice, at the end of November, stories have picked up, characters have had sparkle and sizzle, episodes have been rather deep... This couldn't have been McTavish and McTavish alone. SOMEBODY had to get in there and outline the stuff we're seeing.

I believe what we're seeing is McTavish coloring inside the outlines someone else has drawn, and using the colors someone else has selected for her -- rather than McTavish drawing and coloring all by her lonesome with her Crayola knock-offs.
