CBS Press Release

December 14, 2006

CBS Daytime gets into the spirit during December with holiday-themed episodes on all four daytime dramas...

On The Young and the Restless, Nick and Phyllis spend their first holiday together after the dramatic birth of their baby, while Nick and Sharon share emotional memories of Cassie; Gloria and Joanna's squabbling puts a damper on Michael and Lauren's Christmas celebration; Victor and Nikki host family and friends, while keeping a wary eye on Jack and Ashley; and Brad and his family celebrate Hanukkah. The residents of Genoa City ring in the New Year as Katherine Chancellor throws a gala party featuring a beautiful performance by pop-opera quartet Il Divo.

On The Bold and the Beautiful, the Forresters gather their family, along with Taylor and Brooke, to share in the magic of the Christmas season. Eric surprises Stephanie with a very special gift, a visit from her mother Ann, who has never met Stephanie's children or grandchildren. Ann reaches out to her daughter, asking once more for Stephanie's forgiveness. Emotions run high as every character is introduced to Ann for the first time. True to the tradition of the Forresters, Eric begins to play the piano and one by one, each member of the family joins Eric in song as the miracles of the Spirit of Christmas unfold. (Please note that the Friday, Dec. 29 episode will not be broadcast in its regular timeslot on the West Coast and will stream online at www.cbs.com/innertube for four days.)

On As the World Turns, mayhem and romance ensue as the Snyder house fills with vexed lovers Carly, Jack, Katie, Mike and Vienna. The magic of the season prevails as Paul moves toward the eternal light while Meg races to bring him back from the brink of death. And at the New Year's Eve party, Casey hopes to start anew by confessing his gambling problem to Margo.

On Guiding Light, Christmas Day in Springfield highlights the importance of family. Gus and Harley host a celebration with their family, including baby Sydney, and Buzz finally proposes to Olivia. Even Beth decides not to blow Jonathan's cover about his affair. And although Jeffrey feels like Scrooge, he can't help but think about his own daughter, Ava, as he sees all these other families coming together. Tammy nearly spends Christmas alone, stood up at a bar, but at the last moment Jonathan arrives, making it the holiday every true believer deserves.

From your keyboard to JP's ears! That would be a great Christmas gift for me!

Why is it that ATWT can't even seem to have a dang holiday-themed episode anymore? No more Hughes BBQ for the 4th of July...heck, I don't think we even got to see the Snyder's eating Hubbard Squash at Emma's for Thanksgiving!!! <_<

Okay, since when did Mike ever join the Snyders for Christmas celebrations? I can see Carly and Jack being there at the Snyder home, but Mike and Vienna? Sounds all the roung boring to me; Vienna is fun and all, but she sticks out like a sore thumb celebrating the holiday with the Snyders.

Something will happen of course to prevent Casey from teling the truth....ATWT sounds so boring.
