December 1, 200619 yr Member http://www.theyoungandtherestless.com/spec...etail_2432.html Chatting up Christel How were you first approached about returning to Y&R? "The idea came up and basically, some things were said back and forth between my agent and Y&R. It happened really fast. Within a week, I was back on the show after the idea had been brought up to us. They were like, 'can you start this Thursday?' So I started back and it was like I never really left. Everybody was really welcoming and it felt like I had never been gone. It was fun." Who were you most excited to see? "Kristoff. Because he really is like a dad to me. I love him so much and he has been so nice to me. It was really nice to see him." You have aged and the character of Lily has aged. How was that for you? "Very different. The character of Lily was written very immaturely when I left. I came back and Lily is being married and living with her husband. It is more fun to be more mature but it is definitely different." Your storyline with the Winters family has really heated up since you left. How was that to come back to? "I love the more dramatic material. It has been nice coming back to so much activity." What kind of fan response have you gotten? "So much support from the fans, the crew and the cast! Everyone welcomed me back. It has been nice. Everyone has been very loving and supportive." The storylines and the shooting schedule are shooting at a much faster past than when you left. How has those changes affected you? "I like it! I like how storylines mature the way they do in real life, but sometimes the storylines would go on so long that, as an actor, you would get irritated and annoyed. I like the pace we are going at right now, where it is not too fast and not too slow." What do you look forward to doing with Lily, now that you're back? "I think Lily should have a baby (laughs). I think it would fun to play up the married storyline, maybe have a third party thrown into the mix, like a love triangle. I liked the Daniel and Lily storyline where they ran away to Malibu. I like the dramatic storylines, the ones that really bring up sparks." What was your favorite storyline for Lily before you left? "The Kevin storyline. I really liked that story and the interactions that we had. Plus, it was so much fun working with Greg. He is such a professional. How many soaps have really covered that? The meeting on the Internet, getting an STD, it was really great stuff." What surprised you the most since coming back? "The new schedule. We don't tape at 8:30am anymore; instead we tape at 9:30. Sometimes we don't rehearse. Storyline-wise, Devon being deaf was a big surprise. I would have never guessed that the storyline would take that turn." What is it like working with Michael Graziadei? "We have such a good time together! We laugh and have fun. It is really easy to play boyfriend/girlfriend, husband/wife with him because we get along so well. He makes it easy. I missed him a lot. I love working with him!" Do you still feel that sense of family with the Y&R cast? "Definitely. My first scene was with just about everybody, because we were testifying (at the Grand Jury hearing). Michelle was there, Vicki, Kristoff, Christian, Bryton and Michael. Everybody was so welcoming!"
