Amazing show today. This show epitomised what Days is all about.

The romance, drama, etc-magic.

The Marlena/Smokey stuff actually worked. I loved it and that ending with J&M was just so incredibly romantic. It was magic and not cheesey at all like I thought it would be. Loved it.

Hate Willow but nice to see Sami and Belle being sisters. I liked Shawn being suspicious of Victor and telling Belle and good ending scene there with Victor revealing the bandaged man was Philip (no surprise to the unspoiled). The Victor/Philip scenes have a gothic feel to them which I like.

Sami slapping John was a regresssion but she seemed to back off later. I liked Abe and Roman running around and how quick they learned the plane incident was sabotage.

Bo and Hope were great today. Hope is back IMO. Hope it stays that way.

Steve and Kayla were just pure magic. From the wedding vows being recited to Steve's desperate look on his face when Kayla flatlined and was pronounced dead. The look Stephanie gave Steve was heartwrenching. That kiss and then the flashbacks-wow. I teared up when she woke up and he said "Welcome back, baby." Great scenes. Loved the whole family, including Max and Frankie, was there. It all may have been a bit cheesey but it worked.

Max and Mimi are great as friends. I am actually liking Mimi.

Great show today. This week really has been riveting IMO.

I don't think Sami slapping John was a regression at all. Whether she's accepting their relationship or not - the man let her mother jump from a plane into the middle of nowhere! I'd be flipping out on him too even if I was close to him.

Stephanie / Shayna still annoys me, and the role needs a recast.

I too am loving this new Mimi. I really don't want to see her, or Farah leave in Feb. I'd accept a recast, and I was thinking while watching Desire if they dyed Vivian Grey's hair darker she'd make an excellent recast.

I FFed through the Marlena/John/Smokey stuff.

I am totally down with re-casting Shayna. She is not good. And she is NOT DAYS. And she is not Steve and Kayla's daughter. Maybe if Willow, Patrick, Mimi, and Hope had a bastard amalgam-y daughter, it would be Stephanie.

I laughed at Dee's portrayal of Marlena today with those huge, huge big eyes LOL (the better to see you with my dear), so funny and so cute. I love her, cheese, corn and all. Smokey Robinson is one of my favorites and I just loved every bit of the cabin scene and especially John and Marlena being so romantic. It was just right with such a romantic place, romantic song and romantic person as Smokey.

What I hated was 14 year old Sami again. I thought we saw the last of her. Gee whiz. Now, I'm back on my hate Sami stand. Even her being with Belle was so forced and silly. Love Belle, hate Sami. I think the little girl twin today is different than the one who played Claire yesterday.

Steve and Kayla were totally above amazing. Their storyline really moves me and this was the climax today. Now, the real story should begin.....learning the truth behind Steve's memory loss and the purpose of EJ in Salem.

Belle calling Shawn to pick up Claire was really out of the blue. Best I know, she hasn't allowed Shawn to be around her in weeks. Sort of weird.

I just saw today's show.

Now THAT'S how you spend an hour. Because of his love for Kayla, Steve is finally getting his memory back. Also, I loved the football-like handoff from John to Bo. I was just hoping Bo would get there in time, evn though we all knew Kayla would ok in the end. Sami took one step forward and one step back, but for once, John kinda put her in her place. Victor has once again turned back to The Dark Side of The Force, and that reveal, under someone else, which would have taken until this time mext year, was wondeful. It still needs some serious work, but it's well on it's way to resectability once again.

- "You have kidnapped the wrong girl!" Oh Marlena, I love you. Deidre FTW! She just delivered that so perfectly. I am loving this new half-snarky Marlena. She's so damn feisty!

- Marlena being starstruck at meeting Smokey. So adorable.

- Someone (Shawn) finally mentioning that a) Marlena's amazing, and John & Marlena saved Kayla's life. The Bradys being all gooey eyed about Steve annoyed me. Yes, he miraculously breathed life into Kayla, but she wouldn't have had a chance without the cure Marlena risked her life to save, and that John hurried back to bring.

- Sami (and Belle) planning a party for John & Marlena. Wonder if it'll actually be shown onscreen, and if so, will any of the Brady's show up? Would be nice wouldn't it, considering she saved their "Kay".

and the best for the last...

- The dance. I have no words for that last minute of the dance. It was perfect. The whole episode was, but that especially. The whole dance showed the intimacy and the closeness between John & Marlena. The song was perfect, the performance was magnificent and it was all so beautiful.

Now, I know I might get bashed for this, but Steve kissing the life back into a "dead" Kayla was just ridiculous. It would have been alright if he did it while she was flatlining, but after the doctor called the time of death was overkill. So now are we supposed to believe the love Steve/Kayla have is so strong, he can kiss her back to life? I think not. That was just so cheesy.

The rest of the show was good.

Uh, what is a DAYS actor and actress supposed to look like? I didn't know we were supposed to have a specific look for this show.

There is. She has more of a CBS look to her. She doesn't have the NBC look.

Don't you think it's kind of refreshing she doesn't have the "DAYS" look? Not everyone on this show should be blond, or dark-haired with angular features. It's about time the show casted people who aren't considered "beautiful" in the soap world.

I did think that her look was refreshing at first. But now, it's just another thing on the list of things that drives me crazy about her.

I so agree. The writing for her sucks but the last two days have been better for me in regards to her. It's refreshing that Days is casting for talent and not looks. There is no specific look for network and, if there was, I am gald Days is breaking the mold.

I still say she looks like Sikozu from Farscape. Orange disgusting skin.
