As much as I've complained about the non-happenings at DAYS these past weeks I loved today's episode. I get everyone's views here but like everyone else said this is what DAYS was like, the whole episode had a vintage feel to it. The focus was there at specific areas, the veterans, character dynamics. And I loved the John and Marlena scenes. Romantic scenes like that used to make up a lot of the show before. I'm glad that the show can feature all of these major characters and even have Shelle in there as well.

DAYS in the 80s had a lot of singing. Every supercouple had a theme song. I'm sure those of you not around for those years would have absolutely hated it.

The show has been lacking some real romance for a while now, so that's why Smokey serenading J&M was a nice treat from the usual doom and gloom. If you don't want to see a mature couple being affectionate with each other, then I suggest you watch AMC---I hear they're trying to turn the show into a teenfest over there.
