They really went all out for Marcil's return.

Oooooo, I remember this! Back in the days when I couldn't wait to tune into GH -- and watch a Sonny SL, no less.

VM needs to come back and have Brenda's return properly done this time.

That was a great promo. Remember when ABC used to actually spend time promoting all their soaps instead of doing those 60-second ads one a month that run ad-nauseum?

That said, I would love for Vanessa Marcil to return to GH right now. Laura Wright's Carly vs. Marcil's Brenda?

BRILLIANT!

Brenda's return was only good for the first two months. It went downhill after the cheesy Luis, Brenda, and Sonny plane crash.

The only problem with Brenda's entire return story was the show morphed into The Brenda Hour in which she was either in every scene or was mentioned and it got to the point where I just wanted the character gone again only to get the show to return to telling stories that revolved around the entire cast rather than just one woman who I found was not all she was made out to be her entire run on GH

Wow - that promo was really cool - very sleek and new-age. Almost Nip/Tuck-ish.

I still can't beleive Vanessa got a very UNDESERVED Emmy from this stint. It should've gone to Robin Christopher that year.

Don't make me CRY! Those times were AMAZING. I loved when Brenda returned, and Tamara! AWWW! Good times. That's when GH was at it's best in the past 5 years.

RIP to THAT GH. This GH sucks.

Well, it wasn't the best story Marcil ever had on GH, but it was far from the worst. She even brought life to Steve Burton when the two characters had their fake marriage, both of them were entertaining in thier hatred of eachother, then becoming friends. It has taken years for another storyline to bring some real acting out of him (hate it or love it, he has rocked the Liz baby story, from the one night stand to finding out he might be a daddy).

She also caused the biggest ratings gains at GH since the Labine to Guza transfer, when the ratings had dropped because of all the sadness/medical stuff. They had the courage to tell those stories, but the nielsen audience did start to tune out. The show hasn't touched those ratings since she left.

Those were the days. I just want to see my favorite GH moment of all time, Clink/Boom. I hated Lily and cheered when she blew up. *sigh*

Brenda and Jason marrying was genius but it was all ruined when Frons pushed his agenda for boring ass Jason and Courtney.

I wish all soap promos were like this. I miss the days of when the shows would set up promos with different characters and actually promote the show. There was an old Sunset Beach commercial that used to do this. I tried to find it, but I couldn't so I'll try to sum it up.

*There were several shots of different male cast members running on the beach with their shirts off*

ANNOUNCER: Someone once said, all men are created equally. Boy, were they wrong. Sunset Beach, NBC Daytime.

This Brenda/Sonny/Carly commerical made me picture a commercial DAYS could do kind of with Hope/Bo/Carly if Crystal Chappell ever returned.
