Melissa Reeves wasn't fired. She chose to leave DAYS when her contract expired. The reason: her dissatisfaction with JER's writing for the characters of Jennifer and Jack. The catalyst: when Jack was "killed off" for the 3rd time in 3 years.

This is the worst piece of actor bashing I have seen on a board in years! Yes, you are perfectly entitled not to like a character, but when you start attacking the actor himself, that makes me very angry!

If Ashford is so overrated, why did he get such a good sendoff from DAYS, why is he starring in the musical "Urinetown" right now, why does he have such a dedicated fanbase etc?
