I disagree, King. If Hogan had been brought in a year ago, it's unlikely Missy would have left. In Missy's own words, she started planning for the move because she felt the show did not care about Jack and Jennifer and did not need her. It's telling that the first rumours about the Nashville move leaked shortly after Matt was shoved off-screen again and Missy herself backburnered. TPTB alienated her in a big way with this. Unfortunately, by the time Reilly got fired...the Reeves' had already committed themselves to moving.

Didn't Missy say that her family wanted to move to Nashville because of her hubby, Scott's, new CW career? I know that is what she said in an interview during the time his CW group had a hit record. I don't know if Blue Country has had another hit since I do not follow CW music. I also think Missy might have stayed on if she had known about Hogan coming on. What a waste, because with her leaving she takes out both Matt and Billy. She's quoted as saying "A paycheck only means so much" I find that insulting knowing that Matt and Billy have lost their paychecks because of her decision.

Missy and Scott want to raise their children in Nashville. She said they've been thinking/saying that since they started vacationing there years ago. She could have commuted, but I think it was doubtful.

KR and Jecca are right-Missy had been speaking about moving to Nashville. I remember she filled in for someone on a show on CMT and she loved it. I think that sold the deal for her. I do think the crappy stories and treatment pushed her over the edge and made the decision easier but I also beleive she would've left anyway. Her heart just didn't seem in it the last few years. I think JER and the stories only erased any doubts she was having about leaving but I don't think that is the primary reason why she left.
