Conan is great....I love what they do every year for the writing credits. Jon Stewart, Colbert and Conan's team had the best ones.

Glad that Greys hasn't won anything (though I love the actress who plays Dr. Bailey)

Damn, I thought they changed the Emmy nomination process so new people could compete? The winners have been the same old, same old so far...

Eh, Tony Shaloub. I was hoping Steve Carrel would win. I guess I'm the only one who doesn't care for Kevin James. I was surprised he was nominated.

Nice Aaron Spelling tribute, though I wish they had featured Family (though they played a bit of the theme song), one of the few shows that the Emmys actually honored quite a bit. It's been a nice tribute so far.

ETA: Aw, Kate Jackson! Farrah Fawcett looks so...different. Jaclyn Smith still looks amazing.

Sean I am not a Kevin James fan either. Glad he didn't win and not shocked that Tony Schaloub did win. He is good as Monk, but I don't care too much for the show.

The new process did let some new people get in, but just as it is with daytime repeat winners are still winning. I don't like the new system. There were some weird nominees and some big ommissions - just as it was in daytime.

Love the Aaron Spelling tribute, and I agree all 3 of the Angels still look great. Jaclyn is still the best looking one.

That Aaron Spelling tribute was nice. I was shocked to see Charlie's Angels together again! Damn! That was a nice little treat right there.

If nothing else, I agreed with him that the show needed to "pull back" and build on the small-but-loyal audience they had rather than spend time and money on splashy stunts that did nothing for the show in the end. Instead of settling down and becoming a more "traditional" soap, it just grew wackier and that was so not the solution, lol.

Unpopular opinion: as brilliant as Barbara Bel Geddes was as Miss Ellie, I do believe Donna Reed had a better handle on the role, and on Texas women in general. Under another, better set of circumstances, I feel like Reed would've been able to make "Miss Ellie" her own and continue on with the show 'til the end. Unfortunately, I also feel like Leonard Katzman, Larry Hagman and the rest of their "boys' club" had it out for her from the start.

The hundreds of thousands of deaths due to the defunding of US-AID - no medical assistance/supplies/science for countries in need, no medicines, no vaccines, no doctors, nothing. No funding. Many deaths. We don't hear about this because it's just another horror in the news drowned out by other horrors in the news.

And now the latest is a new Ebola outbreak in Africa that's spreading rapidly and they have no help.
Meanwhile, the ICE raids and deportations continue in the USA -- and we've deported people to African countries being impacted by Ebola.
