All speculation, mind you...but with all three soaps falling so soon after Frons' promotion, things may look questionable.I think there is a correlation as old fans lost hope when Sweeney not only condoned but endorsed Frons' vision. He may need scapegoats, and FV is probably in even better position than Higley for that role.

Considering that they are pimping as the big fall story Spencer as Dead Daddy's murderer they could dump 6 weeks on the cutting room floor and consider themselves lucky. Does anyone care about Dead Daddy? Has anyone ever cared? They may be lucky to get a 2.3 the way they are going.

This totally sums up the problem with OLTL. Instead of nailing Spencer for what he did to Todd or Asa or Kevin. They pimp Dead Daddy. Unfinnin believable!!! And no, no one gives one healthy [!@#$%^&*] about Dead Daddy McBain, although I love the name Dead Daddy McBain. What a joke!

I hope they do replace Dena. It will make no difference however unless they dump Frankie too. I can't get past the fact that the same crap dominated Malone II and Higley. The only common thread was Frankie. He must go or they will be firing head writers every two years to no avail.

Personally, and I'm stunned to say this, I'd like to see either James Harmon Brown or Malone. If they get a strong EP, Malone would be great. I know B and E wrote for ME at Port Charles, but at least they recognize and create good couples. I do not want the cop writer to come to OLTL because this show focuses to much on the crime fighting team of McBoring and Assholio now. There is a whole lot that needs to change if this show is going to last another two years. One is the couples -- they are universally dreadful -- and two is a focus on either fanbase favorites or people universally hated. People writing about how much they hate Assholio and Cluelessica is not an indication of interest in the story. They turn my stomach. And McBoring on on way way way too much. Now bringing on his mommy does not make me happy and it is a sure sign that his contract negotiations involved making him more the focus of this show not less.

As happy as I'd be to see Higley gone, FV has to go as well. I also wonder if they don't just need to clean house at this point. They don't seem to get it. They use history but the history is used in such a one note way that it's a phyrric victory. Their stories consistently fail because they don't bother to tell the parts that make them interesting. DID should have been about Jess and her family and Viki, Clint and Kevin specifically since they were the ones around when this happened. Instead it's all about the himbos and the body. Adrianna's stalker story should have had much more of Kelly and Blair involved and built on Dorian and Cassie's history of similar occurrences. The hospital gala is a joke. Can I tell you how much I don't care about Claudia, Paige, Layla, Vince, Ted, John, Spencer etc. Renee shows up for this but she can't be a part of Duke's death. It's very much like a slap in the face to me as a viewer. Until this show stops sending it's long term viewers the message to FO it's not going to get better.

Interesting to see that GL realizes the show isn't working and they're trying to save it. I thought it was getting cancelled? At this point I don't know if I care with all the awful recasts, the cast is like a bomb hit it. I understand they had cuts, but they went about them the wrong way.

Heck I'm even starting to wonder if Megan is really writing the summer stuff. This is bad even for her, and the show appears completely directionless.

Honestly, the Pam Long news I haven't heard. And it shocks me. Brian and Pam had a meeting four years ago when he took over ABC Daytime and the two did not see eye-to-eye at all. And everyone knows that her last "One Life" stint was a disaster.

So then nobody is leaving OLTL at all? This show is so bad right now, even long time loyal viewers are turning it off. Something has to be done. So, there is no new possible HW and Frank is still there? Both Higs and Frank need to go. Frons I doubt is leaving but Higs and Valentini have to go pronto before even more damage is done and more demos and ratings fall. Do they not get this at all?

I haven't heard anything. But admittedly, I don't watch "One Life," never have, and I usually only focus on getting information relating to "AMC."

Something that would make it better if all viewers understood. We are getting a new HW. Any Soap Fan could call that. Im am 100 Percent sure that Higley's contract wont get renewed, and if it does, she will be getting a co HW. I cannot make any calls on Valentini because if they fire Tomlin, who won an Emmy, i dont know if they will fire someone who hasn't done spit, and i know that makes no sense. We need to realize that 2.3's are inacceptable to ABC and Frons knows he needs new HW's. I hate him, but he is probably searching and in talks for new Hw's for all of his shows
