OLTL: Rumors about Higley

Featured Replies

Her contract is up in October. rumors are floating around that her contract will not be renewed and 84 year old former Associate HW harding Lemay will take over. Although he is old, he is still writing strong. I dont know if it is a good idea because of his age, but i will take anyone over Higley. I believe that she has not been writing the stuff we've been seeing... We will have to wait and see.

Where did you hear this from?

Ageist Frons hiring an 84 year old to HW one of his shows? I don't know...

I do think Higley will go though.

An 84 year old?? LMAO!!

The age is jarring, but if he's a good writer I don't see why it should matter. It's actual a positive because we could count on good character based stories instead of gimmicks to rope in young teens.

If he writes for Nora, he'll have my support!

I'd love to see Lemay get the job but Frons won't hire an 84 year old.

Even if Higley does leave, by the time a new HW's material gets off the ground Hillary B. Smith's one year contract will be over. I don't see much hope for Nora.

I don't see them hiring Lemay as a permanent writer, but possibly as an interim. Once Dena has been informed, they might want to curtail her influence on the show -- and mitigate the existing disaster.

That is a part i didnt include Zara, they say Lemay may be interim because of his age. I got this from SOC, remember it is just a rumor of who will be writing after Higs, because she is done. there is no way in hell that she is staying, well being renewed

Harding "Pete" Lemay won't get a job at "One Life."

Brian is not actively looking for anyone to replace Dena right now but it would make sense that he'd start looking soon considering the ratings and low fan and actor morale.

I would not be surprised to see Frank Valentini ousted by year's end. He is the perfect lapdog but Brian has his other reasons.

I have to diagree. He is looking for someone to replace her. Come October, she is out the door!

Unless ABCD and OLTL like 2.3 they better be hiring a new writer who'se stuff can start airing now and not sometime next year. They have nothing at all to help them crawl out of the hole they are in and it only looks like they are digging it deeper. FV needs to go as well.

A new HW is defienetly coming. There is no doubt about it.

Carolyn Culiton should be promoted. She is still on staff there isn't she?

Yes she is

Well I seriously think Frons needs to stop worrying about getting these "name" headwriters and promote from within. Carolyn Culiton would be a decent choice IMO.
