And you don't think there are Bonnie fans out there? SHIMI fans? HOTRICK fans? Have you been to Soap News and Scoops forum in a while? They love Patrick and Hope. They love Shawn and Mimi. What's to say that Austin and Carrie aren't as important as Shawn and Mimi?

Yeah. I think J/J, A/C, and Frankie have larger fanbases than the Lockhart's. IMO, it would be wise to rid the show of the Lockharts before any more Brady's, Horton's, Devereaux's, or Reed's.

Umm, we wouldn't have the Reeds, Bradys, Deverauxs, etc. if the Hortons weren't cut. And IMO they are the core family of Days of our Lives, are they not? The Hortons had to be cut for us to even be introduced to the Bradys. And that was done over 2 decades ago! I think the show is going to be fine introducing new families and characters. That's how you grow a show.

Well, I wasn't there when AP was fired, so I don't know EXACTLY where he was told of his firing. But I'm pretty sure he wasn't told on the curb at Burbank when he got out of the car. That's just absurd. LOL

He was probably told by one of the producers in an office.

I don't really want to get into anything in this thread, but as a Shimi fan I'm absolutely livid with this show for getting rid of them. They were immensely popular in the beginning, but I feel like Corday interfered and didn't want that to get in his way of precious Shelle. So, he had Jim Reilly write Mimi with this huge secret to make her the witch so everyone would hate her.

I can understand how King Reilly feels about A/C to have other posters come in and say that these two are not needed, because I had to live through the same thing with people here posting how much they hated Mimi AND Farah. So, I understand what KR is saying. It's never nice to be on the receiving end of people celebrating a character or actor's demise.

There is a quote from Bruno, Peck's agent, in the TVGuide article saying he was called up to the Producer's office out of the blue.

Maybe someone used the phrase "kicked to the curb" and it was mistranslated or something.:mellow:

I can understand why someone would interpret this the wrong way. It says he was arriving to work, so one must assume he didn't even get inside the studio, but I don't think Days would be so cruel to fire someone outside of Burbank, thats just wrong. Who knows.

You are totally entitled to say that, but so was anyone who hated what Reilly did when he came back in 2003. The shoe was on the other foot then, is all, and I think you should ask how you felt then.

I've always been very aware of people's dislike of JER's work. And I've always been very vocal about not loving his work, as well.

Well said.

No one wants to see anyone go and everyone is different in who they want to see go and not go. You can't please everyone and Days knows people are going to be pissed. Cuts have to happen though and hopefully the writing and any returns they have planned will help ease the pain. Stefano is a good start.

 I knew Peck didn't get fired on a curve-it just sounded funny in a bad way. I am hoping they at least called him up to an office.

So Sami and Austin really get married? Ok now that is a shocker if true. I doubt they make it through the reception though-when does the wedding start?

It's not really a shock, PR. All the wrong couples have gotten through their wedding ceremonies for three years now.

Carcus.

Phelle.

Shimi.

Alex/Marlena.

Sami/Austin.

Frankie/Jen, kinda? But not really.

Well, I don't know if its 100 percent true that Sami/Austin get married, but I am 85% sure they get married.

AP, blog hinted that a wedding actually happens, and Ali and AP, told some fans in greenville that Sami wasn't going to be humilated at the wedding.

    • Anyway... Kristen should have a prison lesbian story arc. And then come out and become obsessed with Marlena so we can move her on from the Brady nonsense. Is that secret room still in the DiMera mansion?
    • Oh, wow... where can I find this interview?
    • I'm really liking Izaiah and Eva so far. And why can't I help but feel that something might happen to make Jessica stay in Fairmont Crest permanently?
    • So Pam didn't create her? I thought she had the whole of 87-88. I'll look around, thanks for the point in the right direction.

date: Tuesday, November 18, 2025 | Jamey Giddens, Danielle Paige | Steven Williford Samantha, accept the fact you were in the wrong and do not deserve your digital devices. Do not like it? Go upstairs. Read a book. Do some knitting. Bradley and Martin's "we get it" to Tyrell was hilarious and absolutely a parent's thing to do. Loving a bit of history of both the Duprees (via Eva) and the Hawthrones (via Izaiah). So cute. Poor June. I am sure she did not purposefully mean to mess up; we have all been there working in customer service. Shake it off and keep on keeping on! Not twice a week for Vernon's cobbler order... Sharon must be using that as payment for their meetings. I appreciate that Ted still cares about the Duprees despite the end of his marriage to Nicole. Not Dana using Peaches' crisis as a way of taking Ted's attention away from a co-worker. Girl, do not be so obvious. Bradley is a man after my own heart with a simply divine chocolate milkshake. That is the way to go. Dana really needs to dial it back. Money will not buy her everything she wants and she will realise it soon enough. And I doubt Shanice is scared off by her idle threats, either. "With all due respect, Ms Thomas, this isn't a shopping mall." Oh, Dr Wilkes just owned Dana's arrogant ass. I love it. Wigs and personas? Okay now, Shanice ate with that read. I like that June assured Bradley that she will not replace him or Martin in the twins' lives. And that blood does not make a parent. Words never rang more true. Jessica reading Samantha was amazing. Dana would want to involve Ted. Her obsession is crossing beyond dangerous boundaries. Not Dana catching Vernon leaving Sharon's room at the country club. That is not good. Not good at all! Notes: Ugh. Not another breakdown from writer2. This week was going so well. Thankfully, Paige is an outstanding scriptwriter (one of this soap's best), and her words today are excellent. The food at Orphey Gene's does look bomb, so I do not blame any of the characters for uptalking it. I would eat there daily if I could. And gain hundreds of pounds, too. David Lami Friebe (Izaiah) continues to make me sick watching him, but he is nice to listen to. I still really like having June as the central person hub at Orphey Gene's. That familiar face you see when you walk in and have scenes. Dana wanting a second opinion means we could have an incoming doctor, right...?

    • I am sure "no one cares" and it's not a big deal to some people, but this thread is full of certain posters calling out women's ages, their viability to have children at like 35, and their nail polish, but we celebrate everything Chandler Massey does and applaud any male shirtless scenes.  And then posters walk back being like it's just a joke and weren't serious lol.
    • I'm so glad she's still on the show. Seems like she may have dropped a hint about the real source of conflict between her and Dee, too.
