And for this mild Tuesday, June 27, 2017, sweaty, lean hotness! I'm starting to get really frustrated with PB. Only now am I realizing that a number of the pics have been deleted. Grrrr.....
  2. Jonathan Frakes, who played Commander Riker, will direct one episode of the first season. Very cool! I didn't know he'd done such extensive directing work.
  3. Thanks for finding & posting that, @YRfan23! I think there's actually several reasons why scenes start out later: 1) The audience knows more is coming, so they'll stay tuned to possibly catch their favorite characters, stories. 2) It 'refreshes' the episode, already in progress, with something new. The audience gets a little 'surprise.' 3) Might be a formatting thing: All the scenes broken into units, how many are there, how could you put them in order so they rotate? 4) Allows the writer not to stretch out one shorter scene into the whoooole episode, but start it later and have it be more compact. 5) Also, this allows for groups of characters to have full scenes in the first half and then move on to different scenes for the second half. Just look at Christine: Three separate scenes in one episode. The more front heavy an episode is, the longer it'll take to wrap up the first set of scenes and have the characters move on to the next. And with Y&R's traditionally longer scenes, you want those characters with a lot to do to wrap up and move on. Current soaps tend to shove 6, 7, 8 scenes before the opening or first commercial break in a desperate attempt to let the audience know what they'll be getting today and hoping they will stay. But I've noticed scenes/characters appearing well after the first 10 minutes on a bunch of shows (especially in the 80s) like old SANTA BARBARA, early 80s ONE LIFE TO LIVE, etc.

Thank you! It does the same to me. If only we could have primetime soaps like that today! (although we do have some excellent soaps currently).

For this Saturday, June 24, 2017, hotness that makes even a jean shirt look good!
  8. Wow, Pilar's got jokes: "An operation on your head, Theresa, that's what you need!" Ivy is delicious.
  9. I still can't get used to "DYNASTY" being something in the current shows section. In an unexpected move, Netflix will be streaming DYNASTY as it airs internationally (much like the upcoming STAR TREK: DISCOVERY).

It's a rainy Saturday, June 17, 2017, and once again I wish I were at a beautiful beach somewhere (with hotness)!
  19. Up to Christmas Eve 1986. Eileen Fulton brought such classy melodrama to the show with Earl's departure. Just the way they framed it and she played it, which even in 1986 felt sort of a bygone era. And that great ending scene, Lisa walking around the apartment, wanting to take down the Christmas tree, again a beautiful shot of her crying, and then when Earl returns and surprises her. Oh, how I ugly cried. A lot. I'm such a sucker for Christmas 'miracles' when done right, and the emotion from EF was so strong. Just wonderful stuff.
  20. Wow that actually looked better than most punches that go on air. She got the timing almost perfectly!

On this coldish Friday, June 16, 2017, some beautiful abs!
  22. Much as I often loathe Steve, telling Lucinda to shove her job offer up her ass and slamming the door in her face was an amazing moment. And I even felt a little something when he told Betsy goodbye and left. Margo finding out that Lyla and Casey are together was also exceptional. That relationship was building for so long.

On this Thursday, June 15, 2017, beach hotness, because I really wish I could be at the beach somewhere right now!
