  1. Wow. He was great on Rome. Too young.
  2. I never understood that. It’s like they thought audiences would be taken out of the show by acknowledging things that we’ve all seen play out and actually often have vital implications for the interactions on the show. The reunions, WWHL, etc. were the only places they could “break the fourth wall.” Glad that they realized that viewers are sophisticated. Maybe they could no longer hide how manufactured these series are, that most of these women don’t have credible careers outside of the Bravoverse, and how clout chasing and office politics affect what happens on screen. She’s dehydrated af.

  11. Morrissey actually came through with a decent but very “Morrissey” statement: Link

  13. So sad. Again, cancer. The Smiths were my favorite band in college even though they were long broken up at that point. Morrissey and Marr were obviously geniuses, but Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce were really underrated contributors to their sound. Especially Rourke’s basslines: Just wondering if Morrissey will behave with class and say something. Doubtful.
  14. In the 18-49 demo, VPR beat everything on broadcast, including Survivor and the season finale of The Masked Singer. Really big stuff, even if broadcast ratings aren’t what they used to be. The only thing on TV that outrated it that day was the Heat-Celtics game.
  15. Ariana’s “I feel like what I miss is not real.” That got to me. Scheana’s anger towards Sandoval was so raw and blistering. One of the realest Bravo moments ever.
  16. I like the updated visuals. It’s about time it got a refresh.
  17. I used to think that, but Swiatek/Sabalenka/Rybakina seem to be coming together as a force on the women’s side. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a new set of women consistently making big finals, and they all have. The problem is they don’t seem to be resonating that much with fans, and the powers that be don’t seem to be investing much in them. Partially it’s personality/charisma. And we do need more contenders. If Osaka were still playing, Andreescu could get her body right, Emma/Leylah actually capitalized on their USO success, and Coco Gauff could show more growth, women’s tennis would be in a much better place. Lots of American contenders like Jen Brady, Anisimova, Sloane, Sofia Kenin, and Danielle Collins have been felled by injury or other issues. Pegula hasn’t really broken through in a big way. We’re in an odd transition now with Serena retired, Venus practically retired, Sharapova disgraced and done, Muguruza unraveling, Halep on a doping suspension, and Vika/Petra in their waning days. On the men’s side, Alcaraz is a superstar, and Rune is a convincing “villain.” They’ve accomplished a lot more than most younger players have since the salad days of the Big 4. Alcaraz is already a slam champ and a World No. 1! When was the last time we had a young man break through on that scale? They do need players like Draper and FAA to step up. It’s also a shame that Thiem got injured right on the brink of something bigger for him.
  18. The streets are saying that Groff and Ncuti looked a bit more than friendly at the Beyoncé concert. Glad to see “Richie” there:
  19. Rafa will miss the French and says that he expects 2024 to be his last year on tour.
  20. What an odd story but scary.
  21. This guy has an OF, so you’ll see a lot more on his Twitter. Stunning.
