Falcon Crest
For sure, I think Cole, Maggie and Melissa all should have made it to the end. Chase should have been there, too, even if he would have "turned heel" at some point. Conversely, I think Vickie was never going to work, no matter how many times they brought back, or how many different actresses played her, lol. I remember reading that as well. Viewers didn't like the Nazi treasure storyline, so the show's producers had to cut everything short (or shorter than planned) and bring on Anne Archer and Celeste Holm instead. Personally, I think that storyline, and not the Nazi stuff, was the show's best, but I'm sure I'm in the minority on that one, lol.

Falcon Crest
I would agree that there was a lot of turnover among FC's cast, with Jane Wyman, Lorenzo Lamas and David Selby (even though I don't think he was on the show until S2?) being the only real constants.

I still remember Terry's last words: "Richard? Richard? WHAT ABOUT ME!?" What ABOUT you, Terry? What, Richard's just supposed to forget about his defenseless, infant son and protect you instead? Girl, bye!

Days of our Lives 3/21/2022 Weekly Preview Promo
Leo "absolutely wants" to be engaged to Craig, yet he's also willing to jump into bed and jump Chad (or any other man)? Call me crazy, but the little man in my stomach tells me Leo has an ulterior motive in hooking up with Craig.

YR actress returns (spoiler!!!)
@Darn is right: Y&R could ignore Diane's "death" altogether, and literally no one would care.

One thing's for sure: whether or not Clarence himself was an active participant in "Textgate '22," Ginni has become a serious liability to her already ethically challenged husband. This might not end with Clarence retiring or stepping down from SCOTUS, but it definitely brings controversy to the judicial branch of our government at a moment in its' history when more controversy was the absolute, very last thing it needed. (Seriously, Clarence, it's time to dump that hillbilly b***h.)- The Politics Thread
As one Jessica Beatrice Fletcher of Cabot Cove, ME would say, Ginni slipped. Badly. Same!- Looking back...Primetime Ratings from the 80's
Okay, who told Lorenzo Lamas to pretend he was a Chippendales dancer for that promo?- The Politics Thread
Don't get me wrong: Clarence is likely just as big a MAGAt as Ginni is. But let's be real, folks: the only reason Clarence married A white woman, let alone THAT white woman, was to further himself professionally. So, IF his wife somehow proves to be undoing, at least as far his career goes? Well, Anita finally got her justice. Maybe not when any of us WANTED it to come, but certainly right on time. And to think Ginni once left a message on Anita's voicemail, demanding that she apologize for her testimony. The nerve of that heffa.- Days of Our Lives: March 2022 Discussion Thread
Not if, as I edited my post upthread to say, his only, actual problem with the Teen Jess story was/is that Ron "told it wrong." Which is so not what that experience should have taught him, lol. So, that's how you get a job writing for a soap? You kiss the HW's ass? "Wow, Ron, this story with Chad, Leo, Sonny and Will is on fleek! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS hun-tee!" Great, I'm still not working on a writing staff AND I feel dead inside.- Days of Our Lives: March 2022 Discussion Thread
But the key word in that sentence is "grudgingly." He GRUDGINGLY admitted the Teen Jess story was terrible. As if to say, "It would be (or would have been) a good story, BUT...," when the truth is, it never would've been a good story, not even if Agnes Nixon herself had written it. The premise was idiotic; the execution was worse; and Ron Carlivati had no business pulling it out of his ass, let alone pitching it to ABC or foisting it on the OLTL audience. But Jamey saw it play out and probably said, "Well, he just told it wrong!". And that, as Robert Frost would say, makes all the difference. Well...? IIRC, Nick (Mandy Patinkin) does sleep with Jan (Glenn Close), but it's more like Jan's body with Maxie's spirit. So, I guess you could say there was rape? That movie was so strange, lol.- Days of Our Lives: March 2022 Discussion Thread
As @SFK said elsewhere, though, there's really no point to LG researching PS or Renee if she's not REALLY playing Renee, but an impression she has of her from reading her diaries. I dunno. Maybe DAYS should have gone full "Maxie" and had Renee's spirit inhabit Sarah's body instead. Perhaps then the premise would have more logic and LG would have been more inclined to try and be more like PS/Renee, too. In case you (or anyone) doesn't know who or what "Maxie" is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxie_(1985_film)- Days of Our Lives: March 2022 Discussion Thread
I guess the point of this Sarenee [!@#$%^&*] is to bring conflict to Tony and Anna's relationship? Like, once Tony moves in with Sarenee, he'll gradually come to see her as an opportunity to recapture his youth and fall in love with her? I guess? Sigh. This storyline is just too damn stupid for words. For years and years and years on this board, it seems, everyone, including yours truly, was wish-casting Sarah Horton to beat the band; and even though several - again, including yours truly - objected to her finally being cast (or, rather, recast) with LG, most of us went along, because, hey, at least Sarah Horton was finally back in Salem after so many years! Well, now, let me just go on the record AGAIN and say what damn fools we ALL were for hoping TPTB would remember that Maggie had a daughter out there somewhere. We forgot that this was still DAYS, a show that will stop at nothing to make all its' characters look their absolute worst. We shoulda known better. Do you really believe Jamey Giddens or Ron Carlivati learned anything from their past mistakes? Hell, Jamey and Ron are so tone-deaf, they probably believe the Teen Jessica story on OLTL was a smash! I know he's just an associate writer on this show and not ultimately responsible for how this story will play out, but this is why I refuse to believe JG's tastes or sensibilities have matured over the years. He knows nothing about what makes for good drama, let alone good soap opera. He never has, and he never will.- The Politics Thread

Chad's plan backfires? What happens? Does he accidentally get Will into bed instead (I hope)? And I'm not even gonna comment on Tony moving in with Sarenee. I'm just gonna close my eyes and pretend it's not happening. - The Politics Thread
