  1. Same. What I had to do was go to the main site of soapoperanetwork (the site, not the board), then click "community" and it let me in.
  2. I started watching OLTL in 1969. I remember the original Viki/Niki split. The terminology "D.I.D." (dissociative identity disorder) did not exist back then. They simply called it "split personality". When the book and movie "Sybil" came out in the mid-1970s, I already knew about splitting from Viki/Niki. I was surprised that Sybil had so many alternate personalities, because I had thought there could be only two (the real/main one like Viki, and the other one like Niki). (This was long before OLTL changed it to show Viki having many alters)
  3. Loren Lott (Devon's sister Ana Y&R) - appeared as a "young Vivian" (a younger version of Aunt Viv) on Bel-Air for the Thanksgiving 2025 episode. Loren's ig post about the experience https://www.instagram.com/p/DRtBZCKiQVg/ This post is from the current Aung Viv actress Cassandra Freeman talking about Loren portraying her a younger version of her character https://www.instagram.com/p/DRvKRlFkiAV/
  4. Fyi the actress who played Marissa (Sofia Pernas) speaks 5 languages in real life. Y&R started out with the character having an accent, and then later on the show had her tone down the accent. A few years later, Sofia Pernas married Justin Hartley and they are still married.
  5. What Gina's Phyllis went through via Marco was terribly horrible and much worse than anything Jack went through! Also Victor was guilty of rape by arranging for Marco to bed Gina. It's legally called "rape by fraud" or "rape by impersonation". Later on, there is a trial. Gina's scene on the witness stand is truly amazing. Stafford would have been horrible in this -- she would have just smirked.

  8. Kassie De Paiva as Eve Donovan on Days. This recasting did not work at all. Charlotte Ross owned the role July 16, 1987-July 12, 1991. Kassie DePaiva brought back the character 23 years later in 2024. I guess Ron Carlivati thought the 23-year gap wouldn't matter? Kassie's portrayal was like a completely different character -- She wasn't Eve. I think those who liked Kassie in role were already Kassie fans. But otherwise, I didn't see much approval of the recasting.
  9. Just noticed Donnell said this in the last paragraph: ". . . to be the first Black American legacy family on the show is just a huge privilege." The * first * Black American legacy family on GH? What about the Wards?
  10. Here's a clip from Q Thanksgiving 1995 with turkey instead of pizza -- they sing the song. https://bsky.app/profile/canadianfuzzy.bsky.social/post/3m6m5gtv5tc26 Lila with John Ingle's Edward Alan and Monica Sean Kanan's AJ Jason (still a Q) and Keesha Ward Amber Tamblyn's Emily Ned and Lois Reginald
  11. I think this was discussed in 2020 during the Covid reruns. At that time, they would show reruns only as far back as 2018, I think? Maybe something about background music rights, but I might remember it wrong. Whatever the reason was, it was discussed that GH couldn't use anything older. I tracked reruns carefully from 2019 until 2024. I noticed that GH would usually rerun a somewhat boring episode - chosen because it contained some reference to a current storyline. This week's rerun was Feb. 5, 2025 was this (recap link) Don't know why they chose that. Maybe the Drillow references because Drillow's wedding is coming up? I don't know, there are other things they could have chosen for that.

  20. As we know, soap actor guarantees are x number of appearances per week; but that's averaged over a designated span of time (maybe one year). That allows for a character to appear heavily in one arc and appear less frequently at another time of the year, as long it averages out correctly. But I don't know the answer to your question about how BTG's periodic repeats affect this. Maybe it there's firstyear stipulation that the actor appears an average of x number of times per week over 2025's 200-episode season? Or maybe it's over some other specific number of episodes, maybe 250 that's not dependent on airdates? The longterm calculation basis -- its that over a specific timespan or over a number of episodes? I don't know. It would be interesting to know how the first year of actor contracts were designed for BTG. You ask a good question.
