  1. Jacob Young https://www.instagram.com/p/DSTBgt-EZjk/ jacob_w_young I’m at a loss for words over the passing of my mentor, on-screen father, and dear friend, Anthony Geary. He gave so much to his craft and cared deeply about his fellow actors. Even after my time on General Hospital, we always remained close, and I will forever be grateful for his guidance, generosity, and friendship. RIP Tony.
  2. Greg Vaughan https://www.instagram.com/p/DSVG9N_DiG0/ thegreg_vaughan There are people who fill a room by demanding attention. And then there are people like Tony — who never asked for it, yet held it effortlessly. For nearly seven years, I had the privilege of standing beside him on General Hospital, portraying his son, Lucky… and if anyone was Lucky, it was me! What I came to understand quickly was that Tony wasn’t interested in being celebrated — he was interested in being present. Present in the work. Present with his fellow actors. Present in the quiet moments that mattered far more than applause. When I first joined the show, months later we found ourselves in New York for the Emmys. Tony took me under his wing without fanfare, without hierarchy — just generosity. Sitting front row at Radio City Music Hall with him wasn’t about the ceremony. It was about being beside someone who carried himself with humility, curiosity, and kindness, even in moments meant to shine a light on him. One of my most treasured memories is a scene where my character lay on life support. Tony leaned in, called me “Cowboy,” and softly sang “Don’t Fence Me In.” It was simple. Tender. And unforgettable. He had me welling up while I was trying to be still. That was Tony — never pushing, never performing for effect, just telling the truth of the moment. He taught me that greatness doesn’t announce itself. It listens. It gives. It lifts others quietly. His impact on my life — personally and professionally — didn’t come from lessons spoken out loud, but from how he showed up every day with love and a smile. I am deeply grateful for the time, the trust, and the humanity he shared with me. Tony, thank you for the work, the love, the laughter, the guidance — and for reminding me that the most meaningful legacies are carried softly. You will always be with me. R.I.P. 🕊️💔🙏🏼 #tonygeary #gh #generalhospital #lukespencer #gregvaughan #lucky
  3. Anders Hove, as quoted by tvinsider “Tony always went out of his way to be a good friend and great acting partner. Right up till the end, he was fun, funny, an incredible sense of humor, and wonderfully cynical in a beautiful way. I’ve made many visits to Amsterdam for visits, and every time was more fun than the one before. He’ll always make me smile — and laugh — just thinking of him, which I always will.”
  4. @Errol when embedding instagrams, it's showing only the picture/video but not the text (caption) of the post. This is significant today with Tony Geary's passing. Actors are posting photos but their tributes are in the text. I had to copy/paste the text above the ig embed for Jonathan Jackson's long text tribute. Is there a way to select "show caption" or whatever?
  5. Jonathan Jackson https://www.instagram.com/p/DSVGddaDs3q jonathanjacksonhq My heart is broken at the news of Tony’s passing. There are no words to express what he meant to me personally. Many people know what a brilliant and unparalleled actor and artist he was. For decades, he poured out his heart and soul and passion into his work. Never settling, always pushing for truth, nuance, paradox, humor and humanity. His one-man play Human Scratchings was otherworldly—a spellbinding performance that left me and so many others struck to the core of our being. He lived through the height of fame and never lost his humor, his compassion and grace. He is known to the world for his artistic achievements, but to me, he will be remembered most for his humility, kindness, love and wit! Tony’s mind was a creative cosmos, always on the move, exploring and cultivating the art and poetry of life. He was a truly brilliant writer, which many don’t yet know, but I hope his work will come to light one day. As an eleven year old kid, he took me under his wing with a depth of grace, respect and belief that I certainly didn’t deserve. He was my father in the arts, my mentor in the world of learning to trust one’s instincts and always believe in the power and beauty of story and performance. There were moments, many moments over the years working together that I can only describe as transcendent. I will cherish each and every one of them. As I grew older, Tony became one of the closest friends I have ever had. No matter the time or distance, our souls spoke the same language. I will greatly miss his presence in the room with me. He was family. Elisa and all of our children adored Tony. My love and humble prayers are with his family and friends on this heartbreaking day. But we will remember him, and honor his memory! One of my favorite Scriptures says, “Love is stronger than death”, and I feel this way about him. To say, “I love you” is to protest another’s death. In my soul, this is how feel… and I cling to the hope that we will see each other again. I love you Tony.
  6. I would much prefer to see Tony's acting featured. Scenes with JJ's Lucky. Luke/Robert scenes. Luke/Bobbie scenes. Maybe even a scene with Helena. I loathed the Luke/Laura pairing. Loathed it. I don't want to see it again. If they show some of the Luke/Laura stuff, I can simply choose not to watch those days.
  7. I was confusing the nightclub and Wyndhams, sorry. Not the same set at all, of course. I guess I just don't want reminders of their pairing.
  8. Please nothing Wyndams. I don't want to see the location of the rape scene!
  9. I prefer the new rectangular new section icons, too. Besides being too big, the rounded ones had "OTL" for "off-topic lounge", and for a split second each day, I would think I saw "OLTL" , and then realize it was "OTL". I was going to suggest, that if you must have initials, then use "O/T" instead of "OTL". But the new blue rectangular icons with words as titles are much much better.

Rob’s achievements in film and television gave us some of our most cherished stories on screen. But beneath all of the stories he produced was a deep belief in the goodness of people—and a lifelong commitment to putting that belief into action. Together, he and his wife lived lives defined by purpose. They will be remembered for the values they championed and the countless people they inspired. We send our deepest condolences to all who loved them.
  13. NYTimes regarding his wife Michele Singer Reiner, who was a photographer One day, she visited the New York set of the romantic comedy “When Harry Met Sally…” and was watching a scene in which Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal’s lovesick characters argue with each other when Mr. Reiner, the film’s director, spotted her in the distance. “I look over and I see this girl, and ‘Whoo!’ I was attracted immediately,” he told The New York Times in 1989, recalling the pair’s meeting. A few months later, the photographer and director married — and their relationship inspired Mr. Reiner to change the ending of his most famous movie. “Originally, Harry and Sally didn’t get together,” he told the Guardian in 2018. “But then I met Michele and I thought: ‘OK, I see how this works.’” Harry and Sally had to marry each other, too.

  15. tr*mp continues to be horrific from the nytimes link with live updates about Rob Reiner: https://www.nytimes.com/live/2025/12/15/us/rob-michele-reiner-dead?unlocked_article_code=1.808.vCxj.TQmQs5NV070s&smid=url-share Although there is no evidence that the stabbing deaths of Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, were at all connected to his Democratic politics, President Trump seized on their deaths to attack the Hollywood couple, suggesting that their criticism of him may have led to the killings. The president wrote on Truth Social that the couple’s deaths were “reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS.” Trump’s post led to immediate outrage, even from some fellow Republicans. “Regardless of how you felt about Rob Reiner, this is inappropriate and disrespectful discourse about a man who was just brutally murdered,” Representative Thomas Massie, Republican of Kentucky, wrote on social media. “I guess my elected GOP colleagues, the VP, and White House staff will just ignore it because they’re afraid? I challenge anyone to defend it.” ____________
