My deepest gratitude to CBS, NAACP, P&G, the writers, producers, directors, cast and crew of #BeyondTheGates. Without you breathing life into that dream it would still be random thoughts in my head, instead of this vibrant community and family we’ve become. So grateful for you all 🙏🏽
  5. Cady lives in New York. Her main job is that she is the artistic director of a theater there. She also teach acting classes. She pops into Atlanta occasionally to tape appearances for BTG but otherwise she's usually in New York.
  6. Cary Elwes on Rob Reiner https://www.instagram.com/p/DS25xu7ktUw/ Dec. 29, 2025 caryelwes Enough time has passed that I can finally put my grief into words. I was 24 when I first met Rob Reiner on The Princess Bride. And from that very first meeting I fell in love with him. I was already a fan of his work so meeting him in person was a dream come true. As we began spending more time together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life. I also knew that by casting me as Westley he was giving me the keys to the castle. The first thing I noticed about Rob was that he wore his heart on his sleeve. This was a man who felt deeply. Whose heart was filled with love and compassion. He wasn’t impressed by how much money you had or if you had a privileged upbringing. He just wanted to know if you were a “good guy.” He always tried to find the best in people. And if that person had problems he felt bad for them. He loved his family and friends immensely. He obviously loved making movies - and was clearly a brilliant filmmaker - but he told me what he really enjoyed the most was the experience itself. He used to say, “Once the movie is released it belongs to other people. But while you are making it, that’s your time on the planet, so you wanna make it good.” And boy was my time with him on The Princess Bride beyond great. I can’t remember a single day without laughter. The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob held dear. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it. Later, while making When Harry Met Sally he met and fell in love with Michele. Besides being a gifted photographer she was an incredibly loving, intelligent person. Deeply passionate about her family and about lifting others up. To say that they were a great team would be an understatement. Their only interest in fame was that it allowed them to shine a light on causes they believed in, especially helping those who were marginalized. In a town where many talk the talk, they truly walked it. Whenever we got together we would talk about family, life, movies and politics. But without fail Rob would always find a way to make us laugh. That was important to him. Finding the joy. (Continued in comments below) (Link to his comment) [continuation from the comments] caryelwes And if I could make him laugh in return, I felt like I had won the lottery. His laugh was one of the greatest sounds I’ve ever known — so heartfelt it still rings in my ears. Thank you Rob and Michele for sharing your life and art with us. Because my heart still aches every time I think of you, I know the grief of losing you too soon will likely never go away. Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you. ⚔️💔 With this note my family and I send our deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers to their family, friends and fans.
  7. They claim to be pro-life but care nothing about children's needs.
  8. These U.S. government officials are so evil. We already knew that, but here's another example. They want to cut off all federal funding for childcare unless recipients of childcare funding provide extensive documentation that the money is being used "correctly". https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/dec/31/trump-administration-childcare-funding-freeze
  9. https://www.thetvwatercooler.com/2025/12/watch-beyond-the-gates-in-canada-2026/ Beyond the Gates is shifting gears again. Bell Media is moving the CBS soap to another one of its properties, E!, beginning Monday, January 5, 2026, where it will air at 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT. The move follows a brief hiatus where CTV Drama paused new episodes over the holidays. For those who missed out during the break, the “missing” holiday episodes are expected to land on Crave shortly, alongside regular next-day streaming.
  10. Dec.31 episode of B&B preempted in some areas of Pacific and Mountain timezones in USA, due to CBS football. It should air normally in Canada on CTV. It will be uploaded to "cbs.com" and "paramountplus.com" Per Errol's thread
  11. I checked several stations in western timezones. Several Pacific Time zone CBS stations are airing Y&R after football at 3:00pm Pacific (as you mentioned). Some Mountain Time zone CBS stations have already aired Y&R before football at 9:00am Mountain. This is a similar idea as the partial preemptions of Y&R for soccer - some U.S. CBS stations airing Y&R Dec. 31 at an alternate time or on a nearby sister channel, and some not airing it at all. I didn't find any alternate airings of B&B, but I didn't check every channel, and may have missed it. During the soccer preemptions, some CBS stations aired the soaps overnight; but at first glance I didn't find any for this circumstance, probably because it's New Year's Eve. The Y&R Dec. 31 episode already aired in Canada on Dec. 30 on Global, and can be found on their website as "Dec. 30".
  12. Warning!! Tessa and Daniel have sex in the Dec. 31 U.S. (Dec. 30 Canada) episode. Having the episode partially preempted may be fortunate.
  13. The Dec. 31 U.S. episode of Y&R will be preempted in some cities and replaced by CBS football, but it will fully air in other cities at the regular time or at an alternate time. (It already aired in Canada on Global on Dec. 30) It should become available via "cbs.com" and "paramountplus.com" See @Errol 's thread for details: https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/69685-article-beyond-the-gates-lets-make-a-deal-preempted-for-college-football-other-cbs-soaps-also-impacted/
  14. This Dec. 31 Y&R episode will be preempted in some (but not all) U.S.A markets, due to CBS coverage of football. In some cases, it will air at a different time. (It already aired Dec. 30 in Canada on Global.) It should become available via "cbs.com" and "paramountplus.com" See @Errol 's thread for details: https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/69685-article-beyond-the-gates-lets-make-a-deal-preempted-for-college-football-other-cbs-soaps-also-impacted/
  15. This Dec. 31 B&B episode will be preempted in some (but not all) U.S.A markets, due to CBS coverage of football. It will still air in Canada on CTV2. It should become available via "cbs.com" and "paramountplus.com" See @Errol 's thread for details: https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/69685-article-beyond-the-gates-lets-make-a-deal-preempted-for-college-football-other-cbs-soaps-also-impacted/
  16. For most of Jason Brooks’ run as Peter, Mark Valley was playing Jack. Did Jason Brooks and Matt Ashford ever share any scenes in the past?
  17. Found a bunch of pictures of Peter with Abigail. starting on page 11 of this link and going on for several pages. https://web.archive.org/web/20081006113417/http://www.childrenofsalem.com/days/kids/paigryan/paigryan11.html That's just a few of many pics.
  18. Today Dec.30 Canada, tomorrow Dec.31 U.S., it gets worse, much worse. I suggest skipping the episode or having a vomit bag handy.
  19. tvinsider listings (Link) show it as "Season 38 • Episode 219" which was the July 30 episode.
  20. Ray Wise reappears as a vision of Ian within Mariah's mind. (there's a spoiler pic of her seeing him in the mirror)
  21. I'm still unclear on which episode is the repeat! As dragonflies posted last month: The paramount holiday press release says "Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, B&B brings us back to Italy, re-airing a fashion-filled episode from July 2025." https://www.paramountpressexpress.com/cbs-entertainment/releases/?view=112211 I'm pretty sure the confusion is that the released episode number belongs to July 3, but the original description released is for July 30. So either there was a date typo ( "3" vs. "30" ) or someone gave out the wrong episode number. The GH model is to choose a repeat that includes something that relates to a currently-featured character/storyline. If B&B follows that GH model, then using the Dylan episode from July 3 would fit. But it's the B&B tradition to air repeats of fashion shows or remotes filmed in other countries. In which case the July 30 Italy fashion show would fit. Can @Errol or someone contact Casey Kasprzyk to clarify which episode is the repeat?
  22. preview week of Dec. 29 - Jan. 2
