They went too far with Leo, like they do with a lot of villains. As a result, when the time comes to redeem them, a lot of fans don’t buy it. As for Sonny, I was hoping they’d bring back Paul or at least bring Andrew to Salem

After today, I rest my case about unlikable characters being shoved down our throats. Leo's pity party did nothing for me. Being lonely and not having any gay male friends to go out with is still no excuse to be an [!@#$%^&*]. And all that talk about what a great guy Sonny is, there's no one else in Salem that he could have gone out with?? Zach Tinker deserves so much better than what he's getting And, Alex still comes off like a creepy predator villain. And they're all perfectly fine, as though being possessed is a common occurrence 😂 It just sucks because there are so many missed opportunities. You're right that they need to develop Jada more. We all want Eric and Nicole to be endgame, but they didn't need rush through Eric/Jada. They could have spent more time building their relationship. And if you ask me, they should have built up some kind of friendship between her and Shawn. They did have chemistry in their scenes together. Which Belle could have noticed as well and prompted her to continue her affair with EJ, which Ava could have exposed to get revenge on EJ instead of this kidnapping crap that we're seeing now. Too many missed opportunities. I wish they'd bring her back for visits at least. The only surviving actor from the first episode and she's never been in any anniversary episodes.

Thats seems to be another problem with this writing team: shoving unlikable characters down our throats is their first priority. Though Sloan doesn’t bother me

He just needs to not play a Jason clone. Hopefully that implication in BS 2 that he was under mind control turns out to be true

The anniversary episode was like so many things on the show right now: a good idea, but a very poor execution. I still stand by the idea that Days needs new breakdown writers. I am curious though, what year did the Horton house set lose the door that led to Tom’s office?

Yes. And once again, he looked absolutely gorgeous 😍😍 But I've said that before a million times 😂😂 That's what I'm afraid of. The storylines are reminding me of how ATWT was in its final years, where things happened but there was, ultimately, no effects, payoffs, no transition into the next part of the storyline, etc. Something happens but then everything goes back to normal. Like with Shawn/Belle, Xander/Sarah and a lot of others too.

I liked the little nod to history in today's episode, but the writers didn't seem to realize that it's not as easy to shoplift now as it was in 1965. 😂 Logic errors like that are like something that would happen on GH. And though it seems like Chad is being as written as the bad guy/loser in his whole situation with Stephanie and Alex, I still support him and think he's doing the right thing. And as for Sonny, he looked really good but still #AnyonebutLeo

Those scenes between Liz, Jeff and Carolyn were the only thing to make this storyline worth it. For a while, especially in Monday's episode, it was like Finn and his wife didn't even matter. For once, it seemed like the show made the right decision

That's unfortunate, but I'm still thankful that so much of the show still exists. Look what happened to the early years of all the P&G soaps. If Season 2 truly doesn't exist anymore, I think that includes Susan's baby dying/her shooting David/her trial, Mickey and Laura becoming a couple, Tommy's intro as Mark Brooks among the episodes that we won't be able to see
