I think there still might be a promo of the entire NBC daytime drama lineup of 1965 (including the short-lived Moment of Truth - which starred AW's future Mac Cory, Doug Watson) with Susan Trustman's Pat behind bars on either YT or Dailymotion.

I LOVED the Peaches & Herb episode!!! It was nice because no one involved dealt with drug or alcohol issues, or pretty much any huge scandal (in fact, Herb has spent his career away from music in law enforcement for decades and has been married to the same woman for decades). Their music still holds up very well - both with the first Peaches (the late Francine Barker) and the Peaches of the "Shake Your Groove Thing" and "Reunited" era (Linda Greene-Tavani). Just curious - when Liz Hubbard made her debut as Dr. Althea Davis in 1964, was Althea still married to her first husband Dave or were they already divorced? From watching the episodes of Althea's therapy sessions with Dr. Bill Winters, I know that she also had a short-lived romance with the hospital chaplain (who chose his work over her) as well as her short-lived engagement to Matt (who saw her as a friend rather than a lover) before he married Maggie.

Yes, I believe Alice was basically just Pat's kid sister in the first couple of years on the show, first as a high school student and then an art student before switching to nursing. It seems that there was a lot of tension between Alice and Rachel even before Steve came on the scene!!! I too love that Walgreen's commercial with Judith McConnell. It actually first aired over a year ago, I think - but it has gotten a lot more play as of late.

Thanks so much for posting those. I've always wanted to see the 1987 scene of Kelly, after being on the run, visiting the grave of her beloved Joe Perkins. The past few weeks, I have had several SB cast members respond to my through the mail autograph requests: A Martinez, Todd McKee, Louise Sorel, Valorie Armstrong, Ava Lazar, Maylo McCaslin, Page Moseley, Carrington Garland and Harley Kozak. The latter signed a screen cap I had printed out of Mary on the Capwell Hotel roof with the "C" in the background just before it hit her. Then she added a current headshot. Needless to say, I was thrilled with the response. Many of them are no longer in show business (for example, Todd McKee now works for Merrill Lynch), but they have never forgotten their fans. They're terrific.

Yes, Bruce (Joel Higgins) and Amy Kaslo (Anne Wyndham) had a baby girl together. Amy was the sister of Steve Kaslo, and nearly terminated her pregnancy so she could donate her bone marrow to save his life when he battled leukemia the first time, as she was the only match in the family. He said if she had an abortion he wouldn't take her bone marrow donation but was able to hang on until the baby was born and Amy was finally able to donate.

Big payoff in today's episodes. FINALLY!!

I'm always fascinated by actors, artists, and others in the creative field who can do things like math equally well. Todd McKee also has a YT channel featuring some cute videos of his young daughter and other family members.

Liz Hubbard guested on a L&O ep from Season 3, called "The Corporate Veil". Interestingly enough, the actor playing her husband was Robert Milli (Adam Thorpe on GL for many years). I just saw Kathy Hays on an SVU rerun (on one of USA's many SVU marathons).

I read that Gerald Gordon (best-known for his role as fiery yet lovable Dr. Nick Bellini on The Doctors) played a short-term role as Adam's lawyer in the early/mid 90s. Does anyone know exactly when he aired? Why was Adam in trouble (this time)?

I started liking Nick a lot more after they moved him out of Liz's orbit and back into Althea's. I didn't like him at all when these episodes began airing, but now I love him.

I can't imagine anyone else but Liz playing Althea, but I have to admit being curious about Virginia Vestoff's take on the character. From what I read, Liz had gone off to Hollywood at this point and guested on "The Virginian". I recall reading that when Virginia Vestoff left TD, Althea was sent off on a cruise. When Althea came back in 1970 sometime, she was again played by Liz Hubbard. Was this also the same time Patrick Horgan came on the show as the evil Dr. John Morrison?

His longest-running family member on the show was Uncle Martin (John Aniston), right? I sent Rod Arrants a copy of the Memphis Magazine profile on Sherry Mathis from 2006 along with my letter. He thanked me for sending it and added, "Sherry was a dear friend and an amazing artist - as an actress and a singer."

I'm happy to be back! Things have been pretty crazy lately, but Happy New Year to you, too!! Two latter-day TD actors will be appearing on SVU: John Pankow (Danny Martin, 1981-82) will be guesting in the next episode (1/14) and the week after (1/21), Armand Assante (Mike Powers, 1975-77) will be playing Det. Amaro's (Danny Pino) father.

I love those Ohrbach's fashions that Maggie and Althea are always decked out in. Those dresses are always gorgeous!!

I think that was a very good analysis. One thing's for sure, and it's sad, but no soap today would cast a Faith Catlin type. All they want are glamour babes.

I do believe it was Rod Arrants' choice to leave (I know Ms. Mathis left of her own volition) - but the loss of Travis meant that the show's longest-running hero at that time ensured that the McCleary boys would be gobbling up even more airtime. This is no knock on David Forsyth, Matt Ashford and Jeffrey Meek - they have all proved themselves fine leading men over the years on different soaps. But there's no doubt that they swallowed the show whole those last couple of years.
