  1. I remember reading that at the time Kale Browne was cast on OLTL in 1998, he was staying at the home of then-marrieds Michael E. Knight (AMC) and Catherine Hickland. The show was searching for someone to play Sam's ex-wife for what was only supposed to be a couple of shows, so KB suggested Catherine, whose last major soap gig on The City had wrapped the year before. The rest is history.
  2. Maybe. I don't know, because I don't hear much about Stephen Schnetzer these days - except as the voiceover guy in commercials. There is no mistaking that voice!!
  3. Thank you for clarifying the dates!! Kristen Vigard has several albums up on venues like iTunes. Her original songs are more in the folk realm. Many of them just feature acoustic guitars. Her excellent rendition of Neil Young's "Old Man" also features piano, steel guitar and strings. An alto, she can dig down and reach some pretty low notes. "Child of Nature" is maybe the best example. I'd encourage any Kristen/Morgan fan to listen to the samples - there are some true gems.
  4. He did eventually go back to NYC and act on another soap there - OLTL. Two of his co-stars there, Sharon Gabet and Lois Kibbee, had also acted with him the entire three and a half years he was on EON.
  5. Wasn't Christine Jones' first soap gig Lovers & Friends/For Richer, For Poorer?
  6. How long did Anna Stuart temp for Maeve Kincaid? I know the latter was on maternity leave, but didn't they later write one of her pregnancies into Vanessa's storyline?
  7. I don't know, but I cracked up during the "demonstration" of the bikini because we all knew a certain someone would walk in right in the middle of it. Sure enough!! LOL Someone a few pages back asked what Althea's maiden name was. I guess we can confirm now that it is Hamilton. What was up with that "earth mother" dress Maggie was wearing in episode 2? Holy cow!! By the way, I loved the news of Matt's son Mike getting set to graduate college and come back home. It was hilarious watching the father trying to read his son's letter, due to the latter's illegible handwriting and the suggestion of buying him a typewriter as a graduation gift. LOL
  8. RIP to Ann Marcus. She certainly had a long, illustrious life and career.
  9. So sad to hear about Mary Ann Mobley. I never knew she had appeared on FC.
  10. Your guess is as good as mine.
  11. Thank you. I guess she temped on GL when Fiona was on maternity leave?
  12. Was it Frannie or Sabrina that Claire Beckman played on ATWT?
  13. It would have been interesting if they had kept Dane, because by the time Joe was killed off, Eden and Cruz were already rapidly becoming the show's signature couple. Would Kelly and Joe have been able to keep up the momentum - and would Robin and Dane have stayed together IRL in the long run had SB kept him? So many questions.
  14. Mark Arnold made the decision to sign a 13-week deal because he wanted to be free to work on the proposed Teen Wolf sequel with Michael J. Fox (Arnold had played the role of Fox's nemesis, Mick, in the original). The movie was ultimately never made (but another TW movie was made a few years later with an all-new cast, with Jason Bateman in the lead) - I think because Michael J. Fox was offered Back to the Future. He was juggling his filming schedule with BTTF with taping Family Ties, and so wouldn't have been available for anything else at that point in 1985. The Dobsons' explanation at the time for letting Dane Witherspoon go was because they didn't think he had enough charisma (were they watching the same show??). Then again, they made the decisions to fire Harley Kozak and Louise Sorel later on in the show's run which had the fans crying foul. I'm just glad they didn't try for a third Joe. A third Joe in 7 months would have been too much, and the magic was already gone.
  15. I don't see why not; they probably wanted to get the stuff to be taped in the studio out of the way first and then go on the remote.
  16. Peter really did dissolve into a huge mess, didn't he? I STILL think the Dobsons made a huge mistake by getting rid of Dane Witherspoon. Nothing against Mark Arnold but Dane just owned the role of Joe.
  17. Dr. All Rich - the nickname Nick gave him just cracks me up all the time!! LOL
  18. Yes, Kristen said on FB that the wedding was indeed that last thing she taped on GL.
  19. Here is Tim Gibbs (Gary #1) featured in an all-star teen edition of Family Feud from 1984:
  20. Here is Tasia Valenza (Dottie Thornton) in an all-star teen edition of Family Feud from 1984 (also featuring Tim Gibbs of OLTL, AW and SB fame):
  21. Here is Tim Gibbs on an all-star teen version of Family Feud, from 1984:
  22. When did Mark Derwin first appear on OLTL? I thought Sam, Lindsay, Will, etc., were already there when he came on.
  23. Yeah, I knew it had to be in that time frame because he was still just a baby when the Warners all left in 1989.
