  1. Same. Some of these stories should have exploded in February or at least shifted into another level/new direction. So the abrupt stop in movement mid-month hurt them. Very.
  2. I don't think he did either. Very much so. They found their rhythm at the end of last year. What happened?
  3. Ha! @DaytimeFan said similar. That's been saying that for weeks as well. I don't know what Brad is on, but he can keep it up.
  4. TBF, Martin has done that or even had an assistant (one of whom was foine) or two at one point and people talked about how he doesn't work in an office. But I get what you are saying. Hehe.
  5. Awww thank you!!! It was there when Krista Allen was in the role, but I have to say this has been fun to follow. And that Friday cliffhanger is still rent-free in my head. THIS. Exactly! I'm still shocked at the turnaround and how it holds my interest after being so much background noise.
  6. No one is going to beat Corday and his PLANS TO SAVE DAYS articles.
  7. Finally started Episode 1. I already like Myka, Emma, and Martha...who is sooooo up my alley...and yeah, Mark, too.
  8. With momentum back up (I haven't started this week yet, but it sounds like it) I'm hopeful.
  9. Yeah, I wouldn't want Kevin recasted either. But it would be nice if he was used better. Like how Wally Kurth has done nicely between him as Ned and him as Justin on DAYS.
  10. THIS is what Sterling Brown spelled out so well in his tweet. So I do feel you are right. And why people have been discussing it as of late. Especially after that Buffy news. By certain characters, who do you feel is being build up more? And by build up, character development or propping of the characters? I'm curious. I admit I did think that was silly re: Dani/Andre's road trips, but the power of the story and the chemistry between the characters was enough to override the silliness. At least for me. I did like last year how even without a dining room, the writers did find time to give us Dupree family scenes. I know I always looked forward to them sitting in the foyer (?) and I loved the Anita episode where she popped in from practicing with the Articulates to catch up with everyone and it was also a clever way to do a recap episode without doing a recap (with flashbacks) episode. It would be nice to see more though. The last thing I want is for this show to turn into current Y&R. ETA: Thank you for the cotillion article. I don't like how the story was stalled, but I actually might say that once they start stalling it, they might go back to detailing it. Fingers crossed. I guess we will see.
  11. A grain of salt.
  12. I think it's region controlled because I don't see anything.
  13. Advertising...which sweeps is a part of...will always be a thing. Case in point...Sterling Brown posting an informative tweet over the continuing discussion over why shows now have 10 episode-seasons when most people want the old school days of 15 to 22 seasons. I thought it was quite enlightening in terms of network shows vs streaming shows. Otherwise, I would agree with you on soaps staying busy all year round with A stories, B stories, C plot, and rotating them all the way around. I can't fault for BTG for wanting May to be a thing. I CAN fault them for how they execute the stories to get there. There used to be a time that GH would start to foreshadow stories in the fall/winter months, January the following year would have a momentum/flow to it, and they would have great February Sweeps. Then someone would kill the momentum...abruptly I might add...mid-March. Thank you for saying this. I still like the show, but I have started to notice there has been a growing thing of telling, not showing that was not there before with me. Is this BEYOND THE GATES or Josh Griffith's Y&R? Cuz Hunni, what is dis? And it goes without saying that I was livid when Hayley and Bill went to St. Barts OFF SCREEN when THAT should have been a location shoot where the Hayley storyline came to a head. Heck, if budget was an issue, they could use that room they used every time Vanessa and Joey go out of town. We still haven't seen the clinic. We still haven't seen the university. The cotillion has been reduced to just being talked about when it felt like they were playing the beats to it...and I was enjoying SEEING it. This telling...not so much. I don't know if you were checking the thread, but I was extremely excited about it and it was turning into a good B story with the momentum it had. Now it has upped and died. Something I can't say for Anita's story. It might be serious and triggering, but I can't say enough about how well-done it's been done to date. I don't see how they can do that so well, but other stories have been abruptly stalled except to think they would like to do what they did this time last year with a slow build to May. BUT they could have done that build and still kept the stories moving. I just don't get it.
  14. Other than Number 1, that's a good Top 10. And Yay at Rebecca for having more than 3 episodes.
  15. Very. KS has come a long way in two years. And while I hate Nathan (or I guess it's 'Nathan') and Lulu, I definitely have liked the arc of Maxie finding out about them. I guess I've liked Maxie's return overall. She just fit and the stuff going on flowed now that she was back. But for her to be out so quick. To have her and 'Nathan' come to terms was jarring since they stalled the story in the first place because KS left. If they were still going to do the 'Nathan' reveal, they could have gone ahead without her. And then she could pick up on his inconsistencies and doing 'will she figure it out' tension within the story.
  16. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
  17. Same. Exactly! Given this story has been running for a while, the stakes have already been built in...regardless of how haphazard the writing has been...of when someone would realize Hayley's true nature. At times, it could have been Dani. It could have been Madison. It could have been Bill. And there have been those near misses...on screen to boot. Add on Lynette herself as a complication straight out of the 90s DAYS handbook. So it was actually inspired that the writers landed on TOMAS of all people. Like I said earlier, bad actor yes, but the writers are letting Tomas be the person who has gotten the closest to discovering the truth. And he already knows too much. We can't have that. So he has to go!!! And noticing how quickly Kat's Veronica Mars side picked up on his suspicions, she could be the next person to try to figure it out...upping the stakes even more because she's a lot more important on the show than he is. Her being in Hayley and Lynette's crosshairs immediately ups everything by her very connections to everyone on canvas.
  18. Well hopefully if they do that, they will let her tie up the Sidwell/Deception part of her story, too. At this point, I also think if they are going to rush her story, they might as well give her, Spin, and the kids (whether Frank likes it or not) a HEA.
  19. It was discussed here. I felt we all were curious. Especially because it was not anything confirmed. I was simply asking since we had our discussion about it...had it been confirmed? Doesn't seem like it has. So still a rumor for now.
  20. Same. Complete with the human mistakes that come with it. Same. Very.
  21. Thank you for THAT tea. I could use that break when I start to watch this week...which appears to be up this week. Go on you, CBS.
  22. I noticed that and found it odd. Frank always seems to notice for the most part.
  23. Now to be fair... it DOES happen. Heck, it's happening for some folk even as I type this.
