Lord...I don't know what to say besides Frak cancer. My co-worker and I have been talking teen shows for the last two weeks. Katie Holmes is set to be here in San Diego to do the Old Globe's performance of Hedda Gabler. Because she grew up on Dawson's Creek. As did I...though with the original music. As an artist, I could totally relate to Dawson wanting to follow his dream and James played him as such a person even when he was frustrating. And it was good to see James always go for other roles NOT Dawson-like. After all, he was Evan Peters's arrogant, but oh so '80s boss in the first season of the show POSE. I hoped he would make it so it does hurt. RIP.

Same. I do find RP attractive and actually has aged like fine wine and I find Nathan more attractive now than I did then. But I liked the Nathan/Maxie relationship before I stopped regularly watching. That said...this is all ill-fitted. Very. NO. As mentioned, the writers took her too far to want to have her back...something they have a bad tendency of doing ALSO SEE: Peter, Cyrus... It's a shame for Esme because she was a lightning rod for the young set (Cameron, Joss, Trina, Spencer) who needed a kick which she gave. Going back to what I said earlier here and a discussion in another thread, it's been agggggggesss since a show had a young vixen and Esme did have that going for her. So much so she did not need to be rushed through story. And unlike Sami Brady, they didn't even try to give her softer edges so you understood where she was coming from. Sami did TWO and I do mean TWO full years of scheming. And was there for that show's young set. Not unlike Esme. So very much the archetype that I was discussing earlier. And I can't say this enough....and did say across threads...A SANE vixen. ;) But like I said earlier...the writers took it too far, banishing Esme to the psychos listed above. Which is a shame. The potential was there. Exactly! Which is why Esme stood out when she arrived.

That was good. I can't wait to see what everyone has think of the adding of another family member...and of course, how you all are feeling about Carlton/Nicole/Kial after today. I'm just so happy to see so much Nicole today. :)

Just another example of the power of watching an actress in the same role...especially from teen all the way to mother on a soap. And why it was a big deal when we got to see Robin grow up on screen as well as Jessica on OLTL. People were THAT invested. And it was a strength to GF's strength as well.

Yay we are touching on the Ty/Jessica tension again. I continue to wonder who Sam will take? Perhaps a male member from Anastacia's family? Awww I want somebody to look at me how Clifton is looking at TT as Vernon and Anita show the young'uns how waltz dancing works.

I think he would, too. He almost went bad himself when he found out about Michael/Willow the first time around and showed he could do it acting-wise, but the writers pulled back. Hehe. You betta speak on it. Walks into a room and screams sex on a stick. Mmmmm...Young Prince Charming. hehe. Oh, I completely understand. Like when we discussed my crush at first sight on Drake Hogestyn (RIP) over seeing John Black for the first time in his shirtless glory. That...that was a MAN. I definitely agree that he comes across as a manchild. I've picked on him for that for ages...especially when he and BLQ were dealing with Linc. Even now he comes across like a guy having a temper tantrum than a man, but he physically is one and I can't hate on a good onion. hehe. I am going to holler when Chase has his downfall though. Willow will probably do it him to be spiteful. But also...good boy/bad girl combo...which Willow is currently being. But to take it deeper, it has been established and even discussed how Willow loves to have a man be her hero...all the way back to her cult days. It's why her hero worship of Drew worked and started their affair. And as has been established and called out...Chase does love to save a hoe and has a hero complex. So I can see why it could (hopefully) happen between them. Which means his rep preceded him. ;) And mmmmmm...I so forgot about Trucker. Yeah, I'm happy we are all on the same page and ready for Chase's downfall.

I normally love Finn, but he really has been looking like a whole snack more than usual the last few weeks. Vicki Donavon...I'm soooo jealous. hehe. If you know, you know. Hehe. I'm so excited over the show you make me want to go ahead and start this week just on the basis on your comments re: Finn and Deke. I totally agree. She does not bore me at all. I like watching her and she's very good at drawing you in. And thanks to the writing, they have made her so rootable.

Oh, wait! THat's NOT even Francisca, but a whole 'nother member of the family. Wellllllllllllll...GET HER, DANI!!! Hehe. I love Vernon and how much he loves him some Anita. Jessica got a haircut!!! But this show goes fashions and looks so well. It goes without saying how much I am loving the Cotillion storyline. It is fast becoming my favorite of the newer B stories. I do wonder if this was MVJ or Thomson. I'm sorry, but WOOF, GV!!!! lol. I've say this much...the show is making up for lost time in showing him as much as possible. Again. Ashley is best in a supporting role. I do wonder if just like with the baby lie, if she will figured out what happened with Hayley and this 'attack.'

I know. That's why I laughed. I agree. That's what made Esme stand out before they went too far with her. That young set at the time was squeaky clean. She...on the other hand...didn't mind getting dirty with a twinkle in her eye, too. Now you are hard pressed to find an actual vixen that ISN'T crazy. And young, too, which means years of mileage a la Sami Brady...would be a bonus.
