  1. OH...??? lol Yeah, I just arrived at the scenes of him punching Isaiah so I feel that.
  2. 5-20 Well before I let it go like the CBS player...let me gush about that cotillion... I thought it was well done as an event. First of all, we have been overdue an event. And I was looking forward to it since February. And it was off to a good start with the separated scenes between the women and the men. It was also off to a BETTER start by having the plasma ring storyline as a solid B story. And I agree with what everyone has said. The camera angles! The light (cotillion)/dark (warehouse/plasma ring) aesthetic was very well-done. It was great to have so many extras on site. And the cotillion dance...superb. The build-up to the announcement of Premium Deb...also superb. And the dramatic parts felt expected and earned. I saw some of the comments about feeling a way about the Duprees taking over because the person in charge was sick. Why wouldn't they? They clearly have the experience. And why we may discuss them here...the good and the bad...in their fictional world...they are beloved (and envied) in their community. We even had Anastacia there to be the voice for those who dislike Duprees. THINGS I REALLY LIKED. SO MANY. As in Debs. While the story was centered around Samantha, Ty, and Jessica, it was good to see them among their peers. I even had my favorites I looked for in the background. GOSSIP GIRL MESS. I've always compared the idea of cotillion to the ones on GOSSIP GIRL. So it was great that we got some of that. Francisca tripping Samantha. Nathan and the fake announcement card. The surprise appearance of Deanna like a black swan. Jessica's parents. All things Belleclaire. It could have been more, but it was enough. THE SAVE. As in Donnell swooping in to save the day for Samantha. And looking dashing. I swooned. THE COTILLION DANCE. I can't say enough about it. And thank God Ty didn't fall or anything. It was just so well-done, and the camera angles were to die for. THE MENTION. My eyes watered right along with June's when she (and I) heard her name. So unexpected. JB sold that. THE ANNOUNCEMENT. Of course, Nathan sabotaged it. Well, I thought it would be something else with him drinking, but good it was just...that. He needed some karma anyway for how he treated Samantha. And I liked that Francisca did give up the crown with some grace. I do hope it's not the last we see of her. She and her grandma do have the potential to be that rival family if the writers try. NOW ABOUT THAT B PLOT. I loved every minute of Lia fighting for her life. LOL!!! No lie. The quickness with which she threw everyone under the bus to save herself....I can't. I hollered. I liked that the plot finally came to a climax. And poor Derek. Well, he did die how he lived...a hero. And saving his best friend was a nice touch. I always liked Derek and have said every soap needs a himbo. Still...sad to see him go. What I was looking forward to with this story has been the fallout. So if it is going to keep going (le sigh cuz we never saw the Impaler), then I hope it lives up to the potential that I saw as this lame storyline was going on. I did like everyone's reaction to news of Derek dying so far. Especiall Shanice. So...we'll see.
  3. Facts. BTF, she was just getting into the gear...and the show did take a turn after the L. A. remote...when Mal Young did his coup. I would take her over JG to see what could have happened any day off of that.
  4. A year already. Lord give me strength.
  5. 5-22 Yeah, I thought that was a better week than the week before, too. I feel Hope is being too hesitant. She has gone to Steffy and Ridge three times. And they have no comment. Though she IS pushing it by nagging them on her HFTF line. I did love how Liam and Katie are slowly seducing her to come to Logan. I REALLLLLY LOVE as part of her deal, Hope wants DEKE to come with her. SO...DO...I. But we all know my stance on Deke at Logan. Fingers crossed. I guess I spoke too soon on Dylan and the connection to Remy. lol. Of course, Brad would go ahead and rush that. I wish he had waited on one hand. On the other, it does bring back some truth between Electra and Dylan. I don't mind Will with stubble, but I'm bias. And next week looks promising. It seems like Brad Bell is going to do a pivot back to the Spencers as the storyline focus. Since the refreshing of the show really started with them and the Taylor/Deacon/Sheila triangle, I'm at least intrigued. So...nice recovery from the week before.
  6. Now, Dante, why you looking at Liz like that? hehe. But I guess I don't mind the idea of Ric/Liz/Dante. The potential is at least there. Even if it will never get beyond C-PlotLand.
  7. Of course he is. Ugh.
  8. I'm going to save my own thoughts until later on in the weekend when I get through some of this last week of May episodes with my soaps over the weekend. That said though...we are in the last week of May. So...how are you grading the soaps for this May Sweeps? A B C D F ALL HECK TO THE NO...NOT EVEN WORTHY OF A GRADE (BUT OF SHADE) Have at it!!!
  9. RHOM Another thing we are missing due to the pause...Adriana graduated!!! Ooooo...somewhere Kenya is laughing. Same for some housewives' first seasons. I find interesting before they get used to how Housewives work.
  10. Like I said the other day...the best Housewives seasons have both day to day life of the housewives alongside the group dynamic. And hopefully resolution at the end of the season.
  11. Thank you for the tag. And just in time for my Season 1 binge, too. Niiice.
  12. Ugh. Why is this man still breathing?
  13. You're not too far off. Everyone here knows how much I love an evil henchwoman so she had me from Day 1. But I fell in love with her when she popped up in PC during the 50th...diva hat, diva shades, dive head turn...and the reveal she was Britt's mother. But yes...she was obsessed with Faison who was obsessed with Anna during the whole Fake Duke storyline. She even wore an Anna mask at one point and got into a huge catfight with Anna...who may or may not have had an Obrecht mask in that episode...that part is a blur for me. She did try to kill Anna cuz she thought she was an obstacle to Faison's love.
  14. TBF, I don't think of him as Jenz, either. It has mostly been Sidwell since Lucky introduced him for me. I can see it as a term of endearment for the many women who seem charmed by him, but that's just taking it too far. Holly. Lucy. Sounds lovely when Ava says it and usually that's who is saying it so not as crazy. Hahaha!!! But we both know how much you love that particular Brendabot so... ;P And seriously, you know I actually liked Sam/Dante even if it never hit true potential so I don't mind it too much with him in mourning. Now I take issue with the soapiness of Lulu's return and they STILL have not only not gotten back together but Lulu got with whom she thinks is her best friend's dead husband. Cuz yes, Lulu and Dante are where it's at and they have the decades of relationship history to back it up.
  15. I think it's possible. When Ed Scott was back, his presence was felt long before his name was in the credits if I remember correctly. Same for Patrick Mulachey's HW influence in GH's story direction long after he had left the building.
  16. Well, I mean it wouldn't be so bad if they were exploring his grief. I respect that it is kinda old school in that back in the day...when a popular character lost a love, they had proper time to mourn. The problem is...they didn't mourn off-screen and it didn't feel like an afterthought. And was usually six months to a year. Dante just feels like an afterthought. I just watched the scenes of him vs Lulu. And I can't help, but want to see them together. The chemistry IS there. No reason they shouldn't be together vs all this Fathan mess.
  17. Very. Remember the discussion about if Sonny would have ever stepped down and run off with Brenda which of his kids seem perfect to run the mob if the mob HAD to continue? There was a time that answer would have been Kristina. But given how her writing has warped in the last decade as well as Michael ascendency by Rory's acting...well...
  18. I know this bitca Britch did not! Lulu was within her rights to slap her into next week. I admit...finding seeing Drew move a little bit has brought back my excitement for the show. And Dante has been on fire. Lastly...I LOVE that Molly and Jordan sat and talked about TJ. FINALLY.
  19. Same. That would have been out of character for Johnny so glad they didn't go there. Wow. Really?
  20. Or what if he embraced his Cassandine heritage and wanted all of it.
  21. Alexis with a boy would be a lot of mess.
  22. I meant to ask this the other day so thank you for clarifying about Casey Moss. I wasn't sure if JJ was in town currently. And agree on Brandon Beemer. Except she pops up more often these days than once a month. ;P
