  1. Now that I got that wiggle room and May is just about done...These are my thoughts... I thought GH started off strong for May Sweeps. So I can mention it...I actually liked the New York trip for Gio and Emma. Okay...Sprina's was better. That was a given, but it was nice to see a variety on that with Gio and Emma. And then the trip followed them home with that cameo. Well-played, Frank and ABC. I know we have been talking about them and their airtime for some time. So it was good to see that their airtime has increased and continues to be a focus. I loved the car crash. I'm still not sure if it is truly BLQ (who is the weakest part of the story tbh) and continue to feel Isaiah is a red herring. But the fallout and pacing for it has been great up to now. It gave something different to the black cast because I would have never expected Jordan's face to be injured and TH to come to life over Jordan's new reality. Even though yes, Ava had this same storyline with the face when I was not watching. I was interested in that angle for her and Curtis as an internal couple conflict. So I'm a little sad that focus has shifted from Jordan's struggle to Curtis vs Isaiah...something I know I've mentioned I would like to see a few months ago when Isaiah seem a little too obsessive with Portia. Waiting for the other shoe to drop with Carly and Brennan has looooooooong been overdue. And I was shocked and surprisingly enjoyed it all coming out. LW and ChrisM have actually found chemistry enough for me that I actually cared. And the fallout? Has surprised me with how great it was. I didn't get to finish the episode of Joss dropping the bomb (sidenote...I guess I didn't see the episode where Joss figured out Cassius, either. Oh, wait...it was the end of the episode? oops. Blame it on my work schedule), but watching the chickens come home to roost for Brennan was wild on top of him finding out about Val/Carly. Meanwhile, Joss got kidnapped by Fathan, too?? Like I said...WILD. Add on to that was the beginning of Michael letting his Quartermaine truly show and deciding that he would try to manipulate Willow and Chase into that long-discussed-here affair...May was looking great. SO....What happened??? It was like the writers had it too good and had to go off the rails with their stupid writing tics. And I just got irked as heck. Cuz what was that plot with Sonny and Ric? Why is Lulu being attacked by slanted writing? Why is that Random WSB Guy walking? Cody, Molly, and any and all mentions of that darn book when they actually have good moments between them as a couple...until that book gets mentioned? As much as I like ND, why is Ethan here? Frank's getting his dream of repositioning Valentin as the staroftheshow hero...complete with struggle with Brennan...just sent the writers (and me) over the edge with their annoying tics. BUT...just as quickly as they jumped off the storyline cliff...they apparently have climbed out of it. Well...slowly. What caught my interest? For one...Molly and Jordan finally mentioning TJ and discussing him. For another...ESPECIALLY...Drew's hand twitched. He didn't get far, but I love a good soap near-miss. I didn't get to see the rest of the episode where Sidwell and Willow discussed if they might bring him up for air, but I liked the intrigue of Drew trying to move. I am loving the potential Ric/Liz/Dante triangle cuz...LIZ. OOoooo the bomb of Dante (with Liz's help) figuring out what happened with Rocco has set Dante on fire and him going off has been driving story and increased his presence and I've been loving it. Dante vs Lulu was great. But still...WHY ARE THEY NOT TOGETHER? Meanwhile, I enjoyed Dante vs Fathan as well. How dare that imposter try to tell ANYONE how to be a father? He needs to hurry up and get off my screen. And HADES NO to him and Joss. So much Peter August 2.0 going on so I don't see him going anywhere anytime soon. At least until Frank gets bored. And god, Finn Carr is in the spotlight and I love to see it for him and Rocco. Even if I don't like the story choices. And as insufferable as Curtis is...I have enjoyed the growing Curtis vs Isaiah. Though the hand thing is reminding me of the similar storyline (with the black cast as well) a few years back of Y&R Devon and Nate. And at least they had history and the actors always played the subtext even when it was not on the page going on for years after Nate and his hand. I don't feel we are getting it here. And I think I'm the bandwagon with the rest of you now. Baby Delilah is one baby too far on this show. I am also ready for Anna to come home. Though I continue to love that Emma gets focused.
  2. OMG ANOTHER SET!!! OMG BODIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! LOL!!!
  3. Yeah, I was hoping to see Lauren given all the talks. Such a missed opportunity. As for Victor...outdated yes, but he will bring them eyes. No question.
  4. Yeah, I hope they go full in on an affair, but I am also cautious Frank might try to walk it back. Heck, the marvelous tension between Michael and Chase has definitely cooled down after having it be so blazing hot for months. And Michael feels like he's basically cameo-ing after driving story for a bit of the year. Yeah, that was another reason (finding Gio) as well to add to the cracks in their marriage.
  5. Well there is plenty for Michael to do outside of trying to make fetch I mean Jacquita happen. Like his plot to manipulate Willow and Chase into an affair for one. He never needed that triangle. It really does re: Britt.
  6. I personally thought they were going to go that way with the whole Chase's sperm count and then being demoted while BLQ was over here running Deception well without Maxie angle. And then Chase wanted to adopt and the look on BLQ's face spoke volumes. But it felt like it was dropped.
  7. 5-22 Now about the aftermath... So the cotillion is done so they have to shift to the death...a consequence of the plasma ring storyline. Overall...I really did like watching the aftermath of Derek's death so far. The only things that I did not like was 1) So we STILL don't know who the Impaler is? Really? And I found it extremely far-fetched that after months of being the heavy, Lia knows NOTHING. But Ren...does??? Le sigh. If the story is far from over...then what was the point of killing Derek? 2) Wrong POV. And by that, I mean...ASHLEY. I actually thought JJ did great on rewatch with Wednesday and Friday's episodes. But Thursday? NO. It was like Neurotic Ash was back and that is the worse Ashley to have on screen. I wanted to throw something at my TV watching her grieve Derek. You know...the guy she LEFT for Andre. Now she's whining about that ugly chair and how he was the love of her life? GIRL, BYE. I couldn't with those scenes. Speaking of POV, why don't we have more of Jacob...Derek's ACTUAL BFF? In terms of Derek's death, I found Naomi's, Shanice's, and ESPECIALLY ANDRE's reactions more authentic. Shanice was the standout for me. And I loved she gathered Lia for the plasma ring. THAT was the Shanice I love and have missed these last few months. And like I said then, I liked that Andre kept it real because the whole first year was about Andre/Ashley/Derek so no love lost there. Monica as COS. YES, PLEASE. She definitely would not be letting Silk Press Sheila get away with any mess. Then again, neither would Lia. So I don't know why those scenes were there with Ted vs Anita and Vernon over the COS position. It does make a nice C plot if it allows us to keep Shanice's aunt who has been a good addition so far. Speaking of other plots, I will always be here for Black Veronica Mars. So I don't like Vanessa downplaying Kat trying to explore the connection between Lia and Lynette. Bonus it keeps that part of Hayley's storyline alive and active. And Vanessa... Look....seriously...is Joey's tool THAT good???? She really has started to bother me as of late. I have never really been on the anti-Vanessa train. Now I wonder if it's just due to how well Guza wrote her since it's clear he got her and that whole Doug/Vanessa/Joey angle. And now she is not only a whiny heroine, but a major hypocrite. Badmouthing her own daughter (who she's lying to btw) for a shady man is just beyond the pale. I did like the Kat/Deanna scene though. And Deanna with the Friday cliffhanger? I am sure it's a fantasy, but loved it all the same. A perfect coda to a great week. Sorry to hear it sounds like they lost the momentum with this current week.
  8. Well as THE BEAR has proven...you can still do a show every year around read: EVERY JUNE (and as proven this year pop out a special episode)...so it should be possible to get back to the old school way of having shows come out yearly. YASSSSSSSSSSSSS OH!!!!!! GET IT, PAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. I am happy to see Dominic as Number 1 and deserved. I'm also happy to see Rebecca got some decent airtime. And wow at Rory's 3? For real?
  10. Sidenote...It's nice to see Jonathan Bennett acting. I started to watch him hosting the GLAAD awards and uh...worried that I would see HIM vs see his character. Glad it was a silly worry.
  11. I know! I am sad that it proved me right and feel apart mid-May after months of good pacing, A/B/C plots flowing, and those Friday cliffhangers! It was giving soap again. Deserved.
  12. He's being incredibly insufferable. He was told to leave Isaiah alone and he still went there to that restaurant and caused a scene. What would be funny is even if Isaiah was even involved, Curtis's interference cause him (or BLQ) to get off of being charged for the crash.
  13. OOooo can't wait. I never finished Season 13. :(
  14. I didn't watch that season of REAL WORLD, but I'm so for this.
  15. Hehehe at EMPIRE RECORDS. Great movie, great soundtrack.
  16. I know right. He might be shy but I wasn't at all minding it. No need. I remember what a dish he was. ;)
  17. I saw that. And so giggled.
  18. Fine!!! BRING YOUR LOVE has finally grew on me. I want more, more, and more. So I hope that rumor that she might have done something with Kylie Minogue also turns out to be true.
  19. It seem meh to me. But we know I'm bias.
  20. Oh, lord...lol. And same. I didn't realize since the ROSWELL reboot ND had gotten so many. I didn't hate them and their placements either. hehe. And seeing Rory's guns out today was a bonus. It makes for a great tease when I catch up. So thank you. :)
