  1. Ah, I see. Do people think it is unnecessary? It might be sad to see him go, but I would rather have some closure than none at all.
  2. That's not negative. Like you said...credit where it's due. And trust that I don't even want to give him that, but that's a fact. I don't even want to say it that way. But when we got that lovely classic episode at the beginning of the year where you got to see the mansion at its best with all that space AND during a party with everyone mixing it up...it's very sad to see what it is now. And it also says a lot that they have that long hallway and no one really using it. The Newman ranch now has a hallway and they were using it right, left, and everywhere in-between when it was unveiled. And before I stopped watching, they still found ways to use all of that space. But I guess it's all about Cane and his train...which also has a hallway now I see.
  3. I didn't even know that Stefano was alive yet again...I vaguely remember hints from when I last regularly viewed, but I can't remember if it was ever confirmed off the top of my head...until this week's promo. So it seems they did take that approach of him alive and off-screen. I do like with that mind, they are giving some form of closure to him to move on to the next generation. I know there are plenty of them on canvas.
  4. I will take more Kate any way I can get her. That sounds really interesting. re: Marlena and the candles. Thank you for the tip. I think I will be diving in this weekend so looking forward to seeing it. Thank you for this. I had seen the promo and I admit that I was not sure what was going on since Stefano has been getting the Sally Spectra approach (character is alive while actor/actress passes in real life) for the last few years.
  5. Ooooo don't tell me that! re: DAYS. I think I'm caught up enough on shows (and have long since dropped Y&R enough) that I can finally add DAYS to my viewing list. I figured with the casting news over the last year that it was bad, but wooooowww. That is very sad to hear. You have been in the GH Thread enough to know that I have no problem reading Petty Frank down, but one thing I can never take away from him is his ability to have so many different sets in good rotation. And smart cameramen during the summer. ;) None of the soaps have the same budget as they used to so it's amazing what he can do with GH on so little. And we STILL get to see well-known sets that show very little signs of wear like the nurse hub, Bobbie's (Kelly's)...sidenote...good to see they remembered there are guest rooms above for story purposes, the Q mansion which looks and feels it, etc. No one is touching Frank Valentini when it comes to sets. At all. I just started my binge of this week's B&B so sets have been on my mind a lot today. I was worried about the studio move and I've liked it overall. I agree. It's been more spacious which I love. And I'm not bored with it as of yet. I was worried about the model room for example which was flashy short-term, but I couldn't help thinking about long-term what they would do with it. So I like they are finding ways to factor that room in...Carter and Daphne's dinner, finding ways to have work going on in that room, etc. Otherwise it is a waste of space. And while it's the same sets I am used to before the move, it does feel like they are rotated enough for me that it does not bother me if that makes sense. I'm sad to say this, but I couldn't care less about Y&R. I am grateful in the Y&R Thread someone mentioned the Chancellor Mansion made an appearance (finally) last Friday so I peeked in for a few minutes last weekend to see it. It just saddened me how very small and stage play-ish it looked now. Moreso thinking about the remodel that the Newman Ranch got before Ed Scott retired. They been wasting money ever since. ETA: Yeah now that we are approaching a year, yeah, I might be starting to get a bit picky about sets on BTG. But with it doing good in other areas, even competing with GH for my attention, it would nice to see it compete (friendly competition) with GH a little bit in terms of sets, but it really has a looooooong way to go to get there. GH truly is the standard for that now. And again...I'm so ready for that university set.
  6. Ugh. Jacinda. Aww at Marco/Lucas discussing moving off the island. I have to say that I love that Willow is doing what we discussed last month for Drew. Being nice in public and to a lot of people's faces. But behind closed doors or alone, the mask slips. It's giving old school soap villainess/schemer and I don't at all hate that. It's been a minute since a lady has been so stealth on a soap.
  7. 2-3 Well, it's off to a nice fluffy start. I was not expecting to see Ivy in the role of Ice Queen. AB is clearly having a ball, and she's never looked better as she was blackmailing Dylan out of town. And being so glee with it in front of Will and Electra is delicious. You really get to feel for Dylan over it all and it was giving me old school DAYS when Kate would be trying to push Sami around in the 90s before Sami got exposed at her first wedding. I like that. I should say this now. I don't hate NuRJ. I just really like looking at the oldRJ. Cuz that bubble...lol. That said...I liked his meet-cute with Dylan. And I could get behind them because so many people already seem set against Dylan as much as there are people for her. She is actually giving more young (and not boring) heroine than Electra now. Taylor, Taylor, Taylor. I did enjoy the showdown with Steffy. But I kinda want Taylor to put her foot down. Though I understand where Steffy is coming from because it's SHEILA. I really am invested and want to see where it will end up. Because I feel Taylor and Deacon are going to fall into bed before Sheila finds out. In other words...MESSY.
  8. Ah! For all of Frank's flaws and faults...and he has several with his petty self...one thing that I don't take away from him is his ability to have a rotating amount of sets at all times. Even if some are better than others, you do get a feel that Port Charles is a city. And he still can manage to have characters go to another part of the world and it feels like another part of the world, too. And every summer, the viewers do get a pool set and we get to drool over the hotties cuz just like his former writer partner Ron Carlivati, Frank does find ways to get his male cast shirtless. I really love that after our discussion last year about redressing sets in order to cover the set issues that they have started to do just that. That said...I'm long past ready to see the university set. Hopefully with the writing shift, we get just that.
  9. Well Jacqueline tried to do the same thing (integrate into the group), but Mia stopped her at every turn. Season 7 was a good showing for her...and Battle of the Receipts at the reunion will always live rent-free in my head...but she should have never reduced herself to Mia's lapdog afterwards. That doomed her. That said...I love me some Jassi, too. She is quick with it. She can messy. And while her attempts at moments fell flat for the most part this season, I did see how she was subtly pot stirring on AND off screen (loved that her name came up several times during the season about talking to people off screen). And she was just overall likeable...and I also want her back next season. Not even going to lie...I went ahead and bookmarked that picture on Twitter. Outside of the one who looks like RHoDubai Sara...I can't tell them apart. Hahahaha
  10. Given how much of a factor she was from Season 7 to Season 9, I admit that I am shocked at how irrelevant Messy Mia turned out to be. And no, she was not mentioned at all. We only saw her in brief flashbacks to the reunion before her walk off and she was in the background. If you had told me this would happen, I would say nope. Now...I'm more shocked at how Candiace is not factoring at all and she was on longer. Same. The fact it's the only HW show that I'm caught up on and I stayed that way (faulty technology and all) is telling on how great it is as a show. I am hard pressed to find stuff to watch outside of soaps now...when did that happened? lol. And if I had to pick a Bravo show to watch...it honestly would be the just-returned BELOW DECK DOWN UNDER, VANDERPUMP RULES reboot...both of which have OF cast members this, and the incoming LADIES OF LONDON and SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY. Heck, I have a desire to watch Riley's show before the HW shows this past year not named RHOM. I still will...I've enjoyed slowly playing catch up on OC (I'm two seasons behind)...but it used to be a spoil of riches with the HW shows.
  11. So I hear. I can't believe that Mariah's story is STILL going on for two years, no resolution, and no one even knows what happen...?
  12. Well...are we we sure someone hasn't? ;)
  13. Since GH don't want to use them, good to hear. Thank you for the tip.
  14. That is where I am leaning as well. As has been mentioned, Jordi has good chemistry with Mrs. Jacobs. And I actually like Grayson with Ashley. Granted I think Ashley works bests in supporting, it is nice to see improvement in her love life since the writers want to make fetch happen. And...now there's a possibility of that. Heck, it has even lit Derek up some...who I also STILL think will go psycho. Honestly, part of me thinks he's lying about the committee tbh. And it's an easy thing for anyone to follow up on. Derek saying that about Grayson just make me think red herring. At least for now. Now you know you just don't love Dani. ;P She has mellowed considerably over the last 8 months from her days of Annie Get Your Gun. And while she still irks me with her need to run to Bill these days, she really does come across normal. The writers and Karla found a balance for Dani at last. Still love your opinions as always. :) hehe. Definitely better written than Mariah and Tessa on Y&R, but I think I'm coming around to what everyone else says about them. It's not that I don't like them. I especially love those brief moments when Madison's goofy flag flies because it's very Gemini-coded. But it could be written so much better and given how much I like the writing on this show...how do they keep missing the mark with them? We should have seen Madison's mother (played by a soap legend). I liked we got to see Madison dealing with Chelesa's other side...but jumping to marriage? And of course...the staple of teen shows...the long-distance relationship dilemma? I mean...it's too disjointed. Especially looking at the other couple stories going on in that age range.
  15. Same. While I agree, it doesn't help that Frank Valentini makes creating all kinds of sets that don't feel stagnant look effortless over on GH. As the other debatably good show airing right now, it makes the set issues on BTG even more noticeable.
  16. And while I'm thinking about it...while I think Grayson will be involved in the blood ring, I don't think he's the Impaler, but per his description in articles, he will be a red herring to the identity but involved somehow.
  17. I'm very happy that after that meh Monday, the show bounced back quickly.
  18. Which is such a shame because the potential has been there multiple times since he has returned. I agree that I do love seeing Ric in a good place with his family. Who would have thought?
  19. Yeah if they wanted to do something with Ric and Liz, they would have when it was him vs Lucky vs Jason at the same time 2 years back or last year when it looked like an intriguing Liz/Ric/Ava triangle could form. They both deserve more.
  20. SHUT UP, EVA!!! Ted has EVERY right to air Silk Press Sheila out in front of everybody.
  21. Now you know they are getting ready for that wacky reunion with Brad.
