Like I said a few days ago, there's enough going on that doesn't feel stagnant that I can see why their ratings rose up. And I mentioned it before, but B&B is overdue a (non-psycho) young vixen.

Hehe. I believe it. I've encountered so many adorable dogs this week due to beautiful weather and they are not shy about running up to someone with good energy himself. Now there's owners on the other hand... Very. re: kick them all out. Oh, I totally agree with you on Labine and GH in the 90s. I was just saying that it was so good that it STILL is giving dividends to story today. As it should. Well at the rate that monopolies seem to be taking over everything, we might all be on 'other means.' Wow. Really? BITD, library loans in my old town was at least a week. Even now, loans are at least a month. If no one is reserving it, it automatically renews itself up to 4 times. Oh, I can imagine. I miss long seasons. I really find him more attractive than I feel I should. lol. I had seen something. Good to know it was true.

1-23 The end of the episode was classic soap. And we know I love a Friday cliffhanger. I like that I don't find the Anita's Cancer storyline slow. It feels nicely paced so far for something so heavy. And it's clear that there could be a potential rift between Anita and Vernon. And I keep finding myself shaking my head at Anita because I wish she would let her man stand by her. But I understand. And the scenes with Anita and Sharon was very resonating. As someone who liked the Articulates storyline, it's nice to see while the storyline's over, it still pays in dividends. I continue to love Grayson/Ashley/Derek. Derek has some nerve sitting his bubble butt down at Grayson and Ashley's table and being messy. But...it has probably been the most interesting that Ashley's main storyline has been. Speaking of Ashley, thank God, Naomi told her about having the gene. Naomi's storyline has a nice pace to it as well. I don't think she should be lying. But I really did love her reasoning for doing it. It was nice to get her POV. While I've had issues with the writing team losing the gray in most of their characters, I can say that I like that when someone doesn't make sense, it's a matter of time before we get the POV of the character in question. And as has been mentioned, Ashley is at her best when she's a supporting character. And one thing this show has gotten right with Ashley has been her friendship with Naomi. Bill/Dani/?? okay I'm being messy, but Bill/Dani/Andre also continued apace as well. Good to see Pamela back (though like I mentioned earlier...I can't believe we didn't get a business storyline with her, Dani, and the modeling agency from the ground up...disappointed) and that Dani confided in her about the Bill kiss. That said...Bill really does have her on the mind. That said...surely he has to know he has to redeem himself before he would be worthy of being with Dani again. I do wonder when he will have that self-aware moment rather than just playing jealous to the fact that Dani beat him at his own game of Fine Young Thang. And Tomas getting a promotion is another brick in his storyline of social climbing. But again...he's running around with two secrets in one storyline...exit storyline, anyone? And hehe at Dani wanting Izaiah as a potential model. Shanice vs Silk Press Sheila will never not be good. This was no different. I continue to love to see Menacing and Scheming SilkPress over Cartoon SilkPress. And Shanice was reading. More please. Another good week as far as I'm concerned. There were so many stories going on. And I liked how even with that, those stories were filtering into other storylines as well. And that's good.

Well, since I know the snowstorm was this week (and prime viewing I'm sure for binging), I wanted to get my thoughts about last week out. Cuz...we know I enjoyed the bubbles and the fight...lol. I'm extremely happy that Willow stabbing Drew was not a dream. It was not a fantasy. It was stone cold (pun unintended) REAL!!! I'm so excited with this story turn. And Willow is acting her a$$ off. It is giving old school schemer and I'm loving it. Katelyn Mc is going from strength to strength at the same time. It's THE story turn I'm looking forward to seeing next. Especially since they said when Drew does wake up, he won't be moving for a while. So are we about to get some Misery or the wish of several of us to see Chase cheat with Willow with Drew seeing and not being able to do anything because he can't move??? @Antoyne and @titan1978 thoughts cuz it sounds like your odds are good on getting your wish. ;) I admit that I was annoyed that my happiness at seeing a Laura/Lulu scene was dashed when I realized it was just a plot point for the Dalton body storyline. Moreso since Laura had a great scene right before with Liz. I loved seeing them bond over empty nesters. Joss without a storyline? I think NOT! lol. Which is how I felt about the scene of her with Brennan (whom exit storyline continues to tick tock now that new random WSB Guy has arrived) making her into a sleeper agent now. Which should mean no storyline until they climax the story in May, but I suspect that is not what will happen. I also continue to think REWRITE at the new random WSB Guy cuz as has been mentioned...it's clear that the bad guy at the Five Poppies is 'Nathan.' In league with Sidwell apparently. And as has also been mentioned...the Dante/'Nathan' scene of the handling of the evidence was such a tell. So the writers need to go ahead and pull that trigger. Yeeeah, those Britt vs Carly scenes were so transparent. I would like to think Jason can see through that. After weeks of Britt wanting her life back, she gets it, AND VANISHES??? Something in the buttermilk ain't clean. But it is the typical 'character has to make up a lie in order for people not to come after them.' I did flinch when she mentioned Bobbie. And I would have loved Carly slapping the taste out of her mouth. at seeing Peter August back. Not even being warned on this thread (and online) did it the (in)justice. While Wes will always been GL's Sam, the gay from LATTER DAYS, and Wyatt from CHARMED to me, I am over this character. I am happy that the Anna story is kinda moving with its beats. And yay for Emma getting a clue. And I love Gio being there for her. Now for the MAIN EVENT HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Chase, Chase, Chase. His downfall is going to be delicious. I loved (and rewatched) every minute of Chase vs Michael. And while the fight was too brief, it was still great as Michael wiped the floor with him. That was a long time coming...as is another round of Dante vs Chase. But that might be coming as I see the writers finally have looped back around to BLQ and Chase's adoption. Good at BLQ clocking that it's a way for Chase to keep busy after he just got demoted for HIS actions. Keep the cracks in that relationship coming a little more consistently please. It's hard to believe that this was all the same week as Willow's verdict. Another example of how good the writers have gotten at shifting and not losing the momentum of their show.

Yep, yep. They are doing too much with it so hopefully they don't let me down. Oooo I didn't even think that we might meet Jessica's parents. That would be interesting. As would a potential messed-up Chels.

I am going to agree as well. Because I was looking forward to seeing the buildup to ChelsKat (which we thankfully still get talk and scenes about at least) and Dina/Pam's modeling agency. So I did feel a kinda way that it seems like Dina/Pam's modeling agency is up and running. I was WTF. Le sigh.

I would like to think Lisa and Mary still have sour grapes since their weakness is their kids. And that was what the fight was about. Allegedly. It really should have. Fans knew about the sit-down from the moment it was filmed. They were looking forward to it. And...THAT was it? They could have marketed it so well since we all wanted to see them together since Monique left.

THIS. Exactly. Believable ways. Exactly. What gave this (Dani/Andre) more substance and potential to be rooted for was the amount of meaningful and real conversations Dani and Andre had outside of the bedroom. Seeing it was clear that the audience was supposed to be seeing Dani and Bill long for each other, surprise, surprise, I rather wanted to see if Dani and Andre could become more than friends with benefits instead...only for Bill to realize what he lost. And for a little while, the writing started to reflect that triangle that I was hoping for. I just hope it continues to do so. Honestly...once this hits climax...I don't see Hayley just going to jail so I expect her to have a Sami Brady style trump card OR a bitter divorce fight. Which yes, naturally Dani would be there supporting Bill which would cause natural friction between her and Andre. Speaking of...is the investigation into Andre's past our first real example of a dropped storyline on this show? Because the detective DID say something happened to Andre a year before he got back into town. And Bill did decide to not cancel the investigation...unless I remember incorrectly. I thought Bill told him to keep digging.

Very clear. Thank you to Karla Mosley for confirming. ;) My issue isn't with the triangle so much as IS it an ACTUAL triangle? Cuz IMHO the writing tends to be too slanted versus letting it organically be one. It goes back to the DM Rule about 'if I can look at my screen, see a character, and go...they would NEVER do that...then the writer has failed.' I pointed out for me what stood out as ODD in Andre and Dani to make me side-eye. Of course, I could be overthinking...but it's not the first time for me I had an issue with the building of this very promising triangle.

I feel the same. It was clear from their first scene together with Bill/Dani. The fire and chemistry is definitely there. It's why the Hayley reveal hit so well. Her and Bill was never endgame. And now we know why she was never developed while Dani and Bill got so much development. The reveal and all scenes after that is why I keep comparing them to Marlena/John/Kristen cuz that's what they are giving, making it hilariously funny. But to find ANOTHER pairing with fire and chemistry with your lead actress. And not to play both without slanted writing? I get it from GH. I would hate to see BTG fall into that.

I think for me I'm just overthinking it. Last year when the show started and throughout the rest of the year...Dani/Bill were clearly being written as endgame with Hayley as the spoiler. Probably how MVJ wants it. Even with the Hayley reveal, it still felt that way which makes her scenes hilariously fun for me now. BUT on screen, Dani/Andre were given so much development that resonated and felt organic. And no matter how many scenes Dani/Bill popped up in, Dani/Andre couldn't be denied. So once we got to the episodes where the writers clearly saw that the audience was responding to Dani/Andre AND Dani/Bill, I would have thought we would got an actual soap triangle a la GH Sonny/Brenda/Jax where the sides were even matched. And before they had that weird shift to the backburner, it seem like we were getting a Bill/Dani/Andre triangle like that. I hoped we would get that getting into this year. But I immediately side-eyed when Andre started to talk about his insecurities again. I know he has his worries about Bill due to history, but it just seem to abruptly come out of nowhere. And this week, Dani just feels off. Cuz would Dani kiss Bill? YEEEAH. However, Dani/Andre have built this relationship on telling each other everything...good, bad, and ugly. So her actions ring false to me just as much as Andre suddenly talking about his insecurities again out of the blue. It feels like the writers are again doing Dani/Bill = endgame while Andre is now in Hayley's spot as spoiler. It would be so much better if they make it an actual triangle, and not couple with obstacle. If that makes sense.
