There were quite a few people hoping that a Prentiss would show up if I remember correctly, but alas. Theo definitely didn't need a tie. He could have just been a scoundrel that made Kyle feel insecure or regress back to the bad boy Kyle was when he came back to town which was nice to see after all those recasts. But since they established it, they really could have used it. But I know...Y&R can't dig tooooooooo far into its past.

5-11 Oh, lord! Not them out here triggering everyone with that SPS and Eva conversation where Eva called SilkPress out on this day NOT being her birthday. They know half of the audience is already twitching at the idea of an Eva/Kat baby switch. Other than that (and the fact that the CBS app now does ads like Tubi which is annoying as heck) I thought Monday's episode was a nice starter to the week. No surprise since Natalie Slater was on the breakdown and I believe I mentioned that I like how Judy Tate does family member scenes. And that was no difference here. I am always here for Dani/Nicole scenes. I thought it was nice to see Samantha and Eva have a moment. And it's just so funny watching Smitty squirm every time Martin is being so nice, reminding me of when a DAYS character has a secret due to Martin being so blissfully unaware. Speaking of them...I can't believe that they are continuing to have important cotillion plot points off-screen. I mean...did the writers who were actually interested in the storyline when it started just up and leave? And while I'm saying that since a lot of Ty and Jessica's drama was the 'which school' angle of it all, I really can't believe that after the build up for it, Jessica telling Ty was done completely off screen as well. And while I'm picking...when did June change her mind about going to cotillion? Am I to assume she did it in the moment to spite SilkPress? It felt that way, but I give that credit to how JB played the scene than the writing. And as mentioned to me yesterday, so it's TWO days away. So I take that to mean in viewers' time that when the synopsis comes out tomorrow for next week that it BETTER be on it...or at least as a B plot to the plasma ring climax. And lord...that story. On one hand, Jacob shouldn't have done it, but I'm glad that he told Naomi about Lia. And she told Ashley about Lia because that gave the episode a nifty cliffhanger. But on the other hand...ASHLEY? NEROUTIC Ashley? We told her??? As if she is not in danger enough? Just smh. So we are at the first full leg of Anita's story. And that has stayed being well done. I was wondering if it was done done until they mentioned it was just the chemo that was done. It really is the only story...and A story at that....going on so where does it go from here? I expect that Anita will be fine for now until after cotillion where we will get the next step of her story....or new thread of her story coughdevonwinterscough Yeeeeeeah Ted is back on my s*it list. He has just regressed backwards for me. Especially with Silk Press Sheila. Is it any wonder she feels like she can still get him when he has gone back to having no backbone and let her run all over his woman? And Nicole is no better thinking about Ted again, but at least I find her backsliding more plausible than him. June vs SilkPress is always fun. She so gathered her. I hollered. Did I mention all that aside, I actually did like the episode? hehe.

Well, I can't root for Britt in regards to Rocco at all. But these writers do appear (from where I'm viewing) to be writing her better so I'll take that.

I didn't even mind Arturo and Abby from what I remember of them. But the whole family should have been more gradual for sure. Well...there was Theo...Allie...

5-8 Now BROOKE...not you trying to convince Ridge to boot Steffy in your lingerie?? I mean... Because people don't pick on her enough. lol. But seriously...I think this is the first meh week for me in what...two/two and a half months. I guess a show that has been surprisingly good for that amount of time can have a slow week. Because I definitely loved the reveal of Remy and Dylan being cousins. It did make me think of @ranger1rg and his dislike of Dylan and going AHA!!! In a good way. I always said Dylan could be played as a good girl or vixen depending on how the writing goes because I do feel the actress is capable. And I do like and hope that since all Remy wants Dylan to do (for now) is to help him get back together with Deke that means Deke will get his time in the storyline sun...something B&B has for the most part been allowing everyone to be in a little bit in the last few months. Dylan becoming Daphne's assistant seems like a C plot for something else down the road. Meanwhile, all that was left this week was setting up for the next step in Brooke vs Katie with the potential for Hope to quit and join Logan. And Steffy...did not help her case by laughing in Hope's face. I didn't like that at all. But Hope manipulating Brooke behind the scenes didn't look good, either. And Brooke and the lingerie..le sigh. It also doesn't help that we had this storyline with Brooke/Ridge/Steffy...what, last year. It went nowhere. So I hope if they do it, it will be going somewhere this time. And the NEXT WEEK promo with Zende. You better fight to get a storyline, young man!! lol. Everyone else is getting one. JS. Again...okay week, but mostly meh.

Well Josh Griffith did. And I don't know why since he is the one responsible for Noah's return (with Rory Gibson in the role) and mini-arcs for Faith and Summer/Kyle/Lola/Theo? And before this writing stint, did he not write young character stories? It's like he literally just got allergic to writing for them.
