2-6 That was such an uneven week, but thank God the writers pivoted. I have mixed feelings about the Anna storyline. Though thank you for the BTS tea above which might explain some of what's going on with that storyline. I didn't like that Anna escaped off-screen. Especially after setting up that superb cliffhanger. And as much as I love FH, we know that I am over whiny Anna. So her being crazy like that in front of Felicia, Mac, and Emma...all of whom I was happy to see...was just too much. I agree that it was well-acted...especially the coda with Emma being pulled out by Felicia as the orderlies subdued Anna. It's just not...JUST NO. Everyone continues to be right. I'll say this much...these writers seem to be intent on focusing on couples so a small victory for this show since couples are lacking. But to focus on the couples they have when there are better ones on the canvas. Just lackluster. I did enjoy that I got a Laura/Lulu scene and Ric/Molly scene out of the couple propping going on. But I'm dead set against Lulu/Nathan. And the wacka wacka writing for Molly/Cody...which I already have issues with due to TJ...will eventually put them on mute with Tracy/Martin. That said...happy this lack of good coupling resulted in Ric asking Liz out. @Antoyne , but the show pivoted back to the Michael/Willow/Drew mess which has continued to be THE show. Everything else on this show might be doing a stall...whether it's in the show's control or not...but that story is just trucking right along and being crazy, twisty, soapy and most importantly MESSY. Who would have thought it??? Which brings me to my highlight...Willow's reveal. YASSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! I was right! The moment she lost her kids is the moment Drew lost Willow. And the delusion was pouring off her eyes in those reveal scenes. Katelyn Mac had so many scenes this week where she was having a ball. Her basically blackmailing Alexis with Scout. Her playing in soooooo many people's faces. The classic soap near-miss with Chase. She never recovered from losing it at the wedding and it's been shown to the audience for MONTHS so to see it on screen again. MORE, PLEASE. I WANT MORE. I am loving to hate her and I can't wait for her comeuppance or for it to get even more twisted when Drew inevitably starts moving. But will that before she jumps Chase or... Chase...I just hate now. lol. Still nice to look at cuz those blue jeans he had on at Bobbie's...lol. But he is so stupid. He should have left well enough alone, but he keeps being a brat. Getting in Molly's face. Getting in Dante's face. At least being smart enough to NOT get in Michael's face again...hehe. But he fell into Willow's trap. I can't wait to see him undone. I liked that Jason told Sonny about what Britt told him, too. I really don't know where this can go given recent news. I think we already know the writers were adamant about this storyline going until May Sweeps. Hopefully, recent news will rush that timetable. I have mixed feelings about it. I also clocked what everyone else mentioned a few days ago about the reduced airtime for Sonny and Carly. And it's odd that Sonny is doing nothing against Sidwell and the blackmail. And the fact that the blackmail is against Laura feels like a weak excuse when you remember that Sonny put AJ on a hook and just killed Wagger over one of his kids a few years (wow it's been that long) ago. Placeholding and stalling. I don't mind it, but I assume that either Sonny or Jason...who appears to be the dominant presence and willing to end the story like yesterday...will be the ones taking out Random WSB Guy, Sidwell, and Faison? Meanwhile, Carly's Revenge has lost all momentum, replaced by wacka wacka antics with Val. Le sigh. I think the only thing of seriousness...well for Sonny and Carly...was the very real scenes with Michael about the custody. And I felt they back in character. And that makes the pivot later in the week so funny. Because I saw potential all over the place. The ticking time bomb of Trina and Kai on Willow. I have no use for Jacinda, but I found her scenes with Kristina and Erza intriguing. Dante vs Britt was unexpected...like the Liz/Dante scene which I liked. Not to mention the continuing Portia mess which was dangling around the last set of this week's episodes. A lot of moving pieces that was more fun and I wouldn't mind touched on. In character, of course.

True about the Y&R writing. I don't want BTG to import characters, but I can totally imagine the marketing blitz for it. Decades on and people still talk about Neil, Dru, and their family so I could see it getting buzz if it were to happen. On that we are going to have to agree to disagree.

2-10 It's just looking like another good week so far. I actually wondered why that is. For me, while it is slow, there is movement to the stories. Normally, it's scenes upon scenes upon scenes of repetitive dialogue. And it is still there slightly, but story is moving right along. And this wouldn't be B&B without some goofy moments. This week? Daphne's wedding party and the Go-Go boys. hehe. And not Donna getting digits! lol. Not to mention RJ and the receptionist. Don't tell me that I was right and Ivy just did a self-fulfilling prophecy!!! Cuz Will done caught feelings for Dylan. Uh oh now. Oh, well. I find Dylan more interesting than Electra now so I don't mind at all. Perhaps Electra will turn out to the be the vixen in that triangle after all. SHUT UP, RIDGE!!! Ugh. I was so annoyed at Steffy for telling him and then he wanted to get in Taylor and Deacon's face about their relationship. I hoped Deacon would give him a karate chop. I do think it's too soon for the I love yous/starcrossed ness that Taylor/Deacon are giving off, but I'm still enjoying the storyline. I enjoy every minute that the Steffy/Daphne friendship gets a spotlight. In fact, it's nice to see female (and even male in the case of Carter/Ridge...well sometimes) friendships on soaps these days. I like it on BTG with Dani/Vanessa, Dani/Pamela, the Have-Nots etc. I liked it when I was regularly watching Y&R with Sally and Audra. The recent Felicia/Anna scenes I watched on GH. And I enjoy it here. We don't nearly get it as much anymore so I enjoy it when I see. And now Deke encountered a back-on-the-streets Dylan... And with the fashion showdown on the horizon, this show is really having a good February Sweeps. I'm surprised that I feel so invested in what's going on. Don't mess it up, Brad.

lol. But they might just write him (and Abby?) better than the writing they are getting on Y&R. It's not even CBS's first time crossing over characters from one show to another show. Like when Another World's Jake crossed over to ATWT. And I believe his was a successful one from what I remember. Just the little bit we got with him had potential.

Exactly. When Nicole and Vanessa had their scene this week, I saw it two ways. One was that of course Nicole would go to Vanessa because that is her BFF and has been for a long time. Makes total sense to me. At the same time, I saw them and given the nature of their conversation just knew that viewers would have an issue with her talking to Vanessa. And sure enough online that was what I kept seeing more than viewers happy to see Nicole/Vanessa having scenes together when it's been established they were the best friends to Dani/Pamela. Like her TRUE BFF Dani though hehe, Vanessa is darned if she do, darned if she don't. It makes me wonder if the reason for that is...just like viewers waiting for SPS to pay for Laura's accident and impatient for it...viewers are over waiting for how Joey's involvement in Doug's death will come out. And they are taking their impatience on Vanessa.

I had time to kill so just watched it a little while. Loved it. SW was so good. Ugh. I hope Victor takes everything they hold dear once he's down with them. If Gina T was still there...

Mind you, if Dani and Nicole only become yes man or dare I say...propping Vanessa, I will probably have an issue. Though now that we are discussing it, perhaps Dani is quiet because she still has 8 plus months before she needs to get in Joey's face about winning her bet with him. ;)

Taste!!! I admit that JVDB's passing has me rewatching Season 5 somewhat...the incoming news of OTH moving to Netflix was going to have me finally watch the last season...which I never saw originally before it leaves my system.

Now you know I'm not touching her cheating antics. I know that is quite decisive on this board. Which is more ironic coming from me than you know. I was more meaning that they might have rose-colored glasses (especially Dani) due to their long-standing friendship than they would like to admit. I do feel and hope that there will come a point though when those glasses come off or Vanessa gets so deep (my working theory is that while Vanessa would never do anything to either one of them, but say Vanessa has to blackmail Vernon...or dare I say it...Anita for Joey) that either or both of them are going to have to seriously call Vanessa out. But by then...it's too late.

But isn't that plausible given that the impression that the show has given is that they have known Vanessa all their lives. If anything, that fact is ripe for conflict down the road due to what you stated about how much power Vanessa has been amassing.

Tbf, they teased Randy/Lynette from their first scene. Wasn't she also asking Hayley about him in their first scenes together? I'm happy for Randy either way because he can totally get it. YES. It's about time soaps had an actual vixen again and she's been giving this week.

That makes me want to peek in. I'm always here for Diane vs Nikki. And those scenes have been so scared. And if there is one thing that JG for the most part will do right, it will be writing for the Abbotts. So her as their anchor is a stroke of genius.

OMG! I've been so busy imagining them doing it in front of Drew that I didn't even think of that. That would be delicious.

That gives me hope that if Devon ever wants to leave Y&R, she might snatch up the whole family.

Ugh!!! SHUT UP, CHASE!!! I wish they would follow on the baby issue to cause a rift between him and BLQ and not just him being a sumptuous a$$. I said it before and watching Molly with Ric (mmmm Ric mmmm) and Lulu with Laura and making me want to say it again... ...if THESE are the couples the show will be focused on writing for this year...this is going to be a loooooooooooooooong year for me.
