Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Yeah, that Karen interview was a much better look for her. And she was slooowly taking accountability. How...LuAnn. And Sherrie was not backing down at all. So I feel more on her side. Honestly, I want all the newbies back (Angel, Tia, and Keiarna...okay not newbie, but still). She at least was doing things the first half of the season and I did find her entertaining. I also think she will do better with Karen back simply because Keiarna has always had Karen's back since Karen was there for her during the Sesame Street affair. Part of the reason K was having beef with Stacey was due to her allegiance to Karen...who Stacey was turning on.

With how they are written? VERY. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa They both have and I loved that for them. And they had good writing at the time for it to truly work which I really loved. So the potential for a story with 'Nathan' might have been cool. Well...months ago at any rate. Same. I want her to find out that Sidwell more than likely was responsible for her coma as a way to dig deeper into Deception and her pull an old school Maxie scheme, but we are probably getting that stupid quad instead.

Oh, I recall. hehe. I do like that show has kept Dante...mid-burner...more than anything even if I have not always liked a lot of what they've done with him (ie: plot driven story with Gio). I do miss the days where a soap would have a character die and you got to see their significant other mourn them in real time...which was usually a year. Like Trina with Spencer, they have not done a good job with that with Dante in the writing. Don't get me started. You know where my thoughts lay on that. Just like Liz and the Three Single Love Interests...there was story potential in having all of Laura's kids in town. And it was very much on my Wishlist a couple of years back. Be careful what you wish for indeed. Watching the disdain for anything Laura on my screen over the last few years has really made me see red at times. When THERE...STORY...RIGHT...THERE. So yes...clear disdain. Outside of clear agenda for dead-end characters. coughnathancough Sadly...same. I think Alexia will. Good for Lulu, but I dread what horrible writing they will put her through out of shear spite for more organic ways to have her around. I keep forgetting about that story beat. Mostly because they have not played it at all since Maxie was on canvas if I remember correctly. Does Dante even know? Because mourning or not, I feel if he did...realistically...that would eventually draw him towards Lulu. AMEN. Hehe. You know what? THIS. And I would be here for it. Though I don't see Willow ever going back to love with Drew. Or least, not a non-twisted kind of love. The stupidity of it as a love roadblock is an insult to viewers when there are more realistic and ADULT ways to do a love roadblock coughTJcough And your reasons are valid. But...Frank is going to Frank.

BTG: February 2026 Discussion Thread
Well before I get deep into my rewatch...and now that all the episodes are posted...*side-eyes CBS* I guess I needed a moment to take stock. There's a lot going on which I like. And I mentioned before that I like that ALL the Duprees have A story going. Or if not A story, they have managed to be sure that at least one Dupree has the main story of the week. Bill/Dani/Andre appears to be backed into a B story area while Nicole and her love life is shaping up (for me) to be a solid B plot. However, I've been watching some of the other B plots and I have to admit that...outside of the Cotillion storyline...I think the newer ones are coming across choppy/disjointed. Speaking of those Duprees... ANITA'S CANCER. I like that they have managed to keep it focused, but it's not overpowering the show weekly for me. I also liked that having cancer has not stopped Anita from springing out into other stories like the Cotillion storyline or reacting to what's going on with Nicole in her scenes with Kat. Not at all looking forward to SilkPress touching any part of this story. BILL/DANI/ANDRE. I think I'm going to take back whatever I said about it. Well, everything I said about it this year so far. lol. I think it was the Friday episode that made me think about it. I admit that I felt a way with this whole side story of Andre going to the woman to get her to use Dani as a spokesperson...since I already felt a way about Pamela/Dani's company being build off-screen. But I realized...Andre is really allowing Dani to grow and be in the spotlight in a way that she never was with Bill. She was growing of course. It was why I love Dani/Andre. But I was seeing the internal growth. It hit me. The external growth. He's making her life better, too. Dani is finally in the spotlight. In fact, I wonder how things will be going storywise since they seem almost separate now from the Hayley poisoning Bill storyline. NICOLE. YES, PLEASE. I'm loving every and all minutes of Nicole and her tricks. lol. For too long, I haven't had her POV. And now that I have it, I don't want it to go away. And now Carlton done got pressed about it? Well...uh oh now. While I see something between him and Nicole, the real spark is just there with her and Kial. And Greg Vaughn has been looking like a whole snack. Just WOOF. I do like that it's been progressing slowly. First with Carlton. Now with Kial. And now they all interact with each other. Not to mention that Nicole and her tricks have the whole town talking. lol. And still causing some mess with Ted...who has surprisingly become likeable thanks to his relationship with Shanice. As for the current B plots... THE COTILLION. I think everyone knows I'm here for this. And it looks like thanks to it, there's the start of a rival family for the Duprees...something I know this board has been asking for. Apologies for my confusion since Franciska is going by nicknames when she was introduced, but she's just as elitist as Anastacia...who is shaping up for me to be a good rival for Anita. Anita needed one because I'm sorry, Silk Press Sheila is not at all on her level. At least not as long as the writers write her as a cartoon. Is Anastacia one note, too? Why, yes. But it doesn't take away the theme of the show...something that I feel SilkPress does. And for me, it's the best of the newer B plots. And I thought it was a stroke of genius to have Anita and Vernon mentoring Ty, Samantha, and Jessica. And their practice was cute. And it felt like Anita might have finally gotten through to Jessica. My only disappointment right now is that the actual event is not timed to February 24 (one year anniversary of the show) and it appears like it's not happening next week so not during February Sweeps. La sigh. This show is overdue an event. THE PLASMA MYSTERY/THE IMPALER. I don't think I like it. I just can't put my finger on why. It's definitely something different. And it gives good guy Jacob a storyline. But perhaps it's because it's moving too slow. Or does it feel disorganized so far? Or it's the fact that Jacob is making too many mistakes already with this case? I don't know. And I was looking forward to Jacob/Smitty on another case since their scenes last year on a case was a nice C story that tied into a bigger one. Which of course might be the case here. For now...I'm meh. THE CLINIC. Yeah, I think I'm over this, too. Not over Joey vs Silk Press Sheila mind you. But the idea of it as a way for SilkPress to stay connected to the canvas. Her in Joey's world has brought out a lot of the menacing villainess that I loved at the start of the show. And I really want to know what Joey has on her (proof of Laura's accident? her attempt to kill Laura at the hospital? something else?), but the pivot breathed new life into SilkPress. As did her liaisons with Marcel. But if Silk Press Sheila is about to act like a cartoon again, I could do without. I did find Derek vs SilkPress funny. If Derek was to go off the deep end, she could be his mentor. JS. THE OTHERS... THE MISADVENTURES OF BLACK KIRSTEN. Overall, Hayley, Bill, and the poisoning has gone off course. I had hoped that Madison talking to Bill about the weird things she saw might clue Bill in. Or Madison might have gotten nosy that something else is going on. But Madison is now busy with Chels and Bill seem like he forgot about it. LOVE that Lynette's scheme to help Hayley just might be the thing that brings Hayley down though. That has Bill like a dog with a bone. And it also has Tomas the same way. And those recent developments is giving 90s DAYS for me because how is Hayley going to get out of this? If they don't find out, Lynette might sell her out herself...another development that gives 90s DAYS vibes. Lynette is a great addition and continues to grow on me with her 'giving real vixen' vibes. ASHLEY. The bounceback is real. I do love that the writers have found a balance with her and making it work.

Actually...lol. When Katie and Bill was looking for a designer, I had hoped they were leading to Deke. Since it seem like it was going that way story-wise. When Katie started to have scenes with Eric, I was wondering if he might come in to mentor with Deke. So I felt a way about Deke being declared too green to even try him out that way while Eric snatched his storyline. Katie did however continue to mention him re: Deke as a designer, but too green in dialogue with Bill a little bit after that. Almost as a way to soften the blow to us watching who was hoping.

2-17 It's a meh week so far for me. It just goes back to what I said a few weeks ago. When the show shifted off to other stories that was not mostly Forresters, the show shifted off to better stories that held me. Heck, they have multiple stories going on again. But I knew it would steer back to the Forrester cuz there needed to be some build-up to the upcoming fashion show. But already off to a bumpy start. Because I've seen it all before. Oh, no Ridge feels a way about Eric when HE'S the one who pushed him out! Oh, no Eric's health is acting up again! RME. Outside of seeing more Donna and the interludes with Bill and Katie...even if it is repetitive dialogue...I could care less. At least with the Eric/Donna scenes, it allowed for a POV for Eric. But it's just same old same old. When the highlight of the episodes (so far) is just seeing a different set in Bill's office and an updated opening (add me on for seeing a goateed Deke in the opening and did they add Dylan, too?) your week is already off to a baaaad start.

Project Runway
I did it eventually. And drinking it now. ;) But overall, I liked the season though I saw some older fans had issues with it. And I agree to an extent. I believe I told you that I was binging it (and I see that my system has been adding on more seasons since I stopped), I found the show so inspiring. And that was due to us the audience getting to watch it all, the designers' day-to-day before work, their day-to-day at the studio, etc. I felt this season did not have a lot of that, focusing instead on the personalities and one day challenges (vs the multi-day challenges). I still liked it, but I missed that aspect of it. I also miss Tim Gunn. I've gotten used to Cristian, but he did have more of a backseat this season than he has in the other seasons.

Same. I was just discussing this with a coworker in regards to Yellowstone with soap references re: Ingo in particular.

I feel that. His death has been hitting me harder than I expected and has had me questioning my own mortality, what I want out of life, and yes nostalgia. And now Eric Dane passed this week 20 years after his first appearance on Grey's Anatomy...not to mention Jesse Jackson...and it does make a person in their 40s which I am...really want to sit with themselves and question their life direction...which I was before the news. And then just start to move differently.

Nice to see CBS finally post this week's episode. I am going to give credit where credit is due. The adventures of Kristen Dimera...I mean Hayley has been feeling disjointed to me. That said...it does feel like the pieces are coming together. I don't think the reveal will beat out Kristen's eventual reveal to the town at Graceland on DAYS...and no secret room in sight...but darn if it is doesn't give the build of a 90s DAYS plot these days to me. The increase presence for Lynette. The near-misses. The fact her antics are now increasing the chances of Hayley being found out. Bill inching closer to the truth. Tomas (of all people) itching toward the truth. The whole Sammy thing coming back up. Speaking kind meh on this part of the storyline...I am liking the all the movable parts. Oh...and any scenes with SPS around Vernon/Anita...is dangerous close to joining Tracy/Martin scenes on GH...on mute. Perhaps if Trisha played that as SPS still feeling a way about VD, it might have worked, but it was cartoony, silly, and I even yell at my tv to just oh, SHUT UP.

haha. Right! I liked Sam/Dante, but they needed some drama which Lulu coming out of her coma would have done. But we know how things turned out. That's what I've been saying, too. And why I totally agree with Vee as well. There is no reason (I repeat NO REASON) why a couple that was as popular as Dante/Lulu were have made no progress or had little scenes to either explain why they aren't together or to tease out a reunion without agendas afoot. For better or for worse, they were a frontburner couple that also got story separately consistently. And people still want them together and played by actor/ress that can act. Now they barely have scenes. Something is up.

Now is it Paige that loves to do intimate one on one family scenes or is that Tate? Because I have liked some of those scenes, but I think I am getting my scriptwriters mixed up. Really? re: Paige and references. Because Jazmin was the main scriptwriter of that and he's one of the best of the first year scriptwriters. He of the Teen Slang. And I still like him, but his scripts still stick out for that reason than most of the others.

That reminds me...what's the verdict on Natalie Minardi Slater so far? I think except for one, I have loved all of her breakdowns so far. And that one didn't bother me too much. And it seems every scriptwriter that has one of her breakdowns has only enriched them. And that just tells me there is already a flow to her outlines. Speaking of...how we feeling about the new writers so far?

Same. And a pairing I'm not against either. I'm surprised it has never come up honestly. I saw this earlier and true I continue to be irked that the once premier young couple on this show at one point are both single on the canvas and have not gotten back together (but hey, Frank did this with Liz and Ric/Lucky/Jason not too long ago so it tracks). As the day went on...well...Lulu and Liz have their own little bit of history, too, that could be minded. It's not like we ever got that Sam/Dante/Lulu triangle we should have gotten when Lulu woke up. This could potentially have similar legs, too. I honestly want Ava to keep doing what she's doing. Sidwell is power. Ava loves power. I would love for her to use him to become a major player again. And if he dies and she's left in charge of everything...all the better.
