Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I agree. I think my supervisor at one of my job is the ONLY person not getting anything and traditionally she gets a cold almost always every December. Even now, it is lingering somewhat, but I've taken to getting plenty of rest in and staying on my fluids. And that is thankfully helping. I agree with you and @Antoyne. This year has been a nice bounceback for the HW shows. And it bodes well for RHOA. And RHOM is always great and looks to be more of the same with their little cast refresh. Hehe. I still need to continue my OC catch-up. And now RHOM is about to have its own refresh as well. But I love that for the most part, there is so much good HW show content out there. And Housewives are still giving real stuff happening, and for the most part, we get to see it as fans in real time. Should make it fun when we do our BEST OFs this year. Yes! Mary is giving and really has been Lead, hasn't she? She is having a great showing this year. I think you are right about the flying. I also feel that perhaps some of Racquel's worry about her mother might be valid. Her mother is from a different time so who knows how accepting she will be. Time will tell. But since she already knows Mel and likes her, it might be nothing. We will see.

12-19 FINALLY!!! I'm talking about Sharon's session with Alan. So...not only was Heather STILL alive before Sharon blacked out, but Sharon remembered a REAL hand on her shoulder. And the attack/murder happened as Sharon was blacking out on the couch. So yay for Sharon NOT killing Heather. And now she has that heroine fire in her. GOOD. And Nate's brother has officially been found. I was happy to hear it. And I guess it was nice to play the beat of Amy not being sure if she wanted to go. Still...I was annoyed that it felt like they were dragging it out though. I almost thought that Amy might be setting up Nate for something because why would she not go with him on the plane since she would be the only person Nate's brother would recognize. Giggly Heffa can stay a C plot. lol. Happy to see Daniel though. This episode had meat to it, and it felt like momentum MIGHT be about to pick up again. Side-note...another hairstyle for SC and she was looking pure heroine.

Oh my God yes. I did not get to see a lot of Marla Adams's run as Dina...I only got to see the full scene of her first appearing to John a few months ago...but she always had me spellbound when I saw her. I wished they could have kept her and Dina could have been that grande dame that Katherine used to be. Those flashbacks of her and Jack were so well done. And it told such a tale. And when she turned to Jack and told him the story behind the ornament to show she remembered it like he did...just *sighs* Just well done.

12-18 You know what? This appears to be a solid week so far. All the drama with the Forrester Takeover appear to have a momentum to it. Zende about to quit only to be a double agent. Carter already thinking about turning it into a lifestyle brand (STFU Ridge with you shading that). And now...Carter wanting Brooke at the CEO. YES, PLEASE. That will make Ridge shut up reeeeeal quick. It's a juicy idea. And then the stalker storyline. It's giving nice B plot right alongside the Takeover storyline. And...of course, Katie would be the one to get the pictures. lol. I liked how she went to Brooke with it. I don't like how they are handling the firing of Electra. At least tell her something. And I thought the actress really put in the work with her dramatics. But I continue to think that it's going to be Sheila that figures Remy out.

Wow. Everyone is just falling sick this year. I was really bad off last week, but thankfully it hit around a period of time where my work week was light so I could (mostly) NyQuil it down while getting plenty of sleep. And it's been mostly a work week this week, but I been keeping with liquids and sleep as best I can. I hope you feel better. I was shocked to hear you were not doing SLC this year because I feel you would love this season. I had my doubts at the start of the season due to the absence of Monica...and her shadow is definitely hanging over the first half of the season...but in hindsight, the show has pivoted and built on nicely from S4. My only concern has been Heather and her ego. At this point...SHE is the only one keeping Monica alive...in real life in any case. I think, like Racquel on NY, you will love Bob (aka Bronwyn). But this year has been a great year for new housewives who not only have a good dynamic in the group, but their own interesting individual story. And...she's rich!! hehe. Also...Mary is the MVP this season as she ascends to a whole other level of Housewife by being authentically her, but more open and vulnerable to the audience. I know she's won over so many of her haters who have not liked her with her story of her son. Those scenes really had me crying for her and him. And her opening up and having a sincere friendship with Angie has been such a highlight. She is still her, but the things that people seem to not like about her, it feels like she heard...and she listened. PS. You HAVE to give your opinion of SLC's version of the BH Dinner from Hell. YOU...HAVE...TO. It was one of the BEST episodes of any HW show this year. AND it was at Mary's. For BH, I think you will have to ask @DaytimeFan, @Antoyne, @Cheap21, and/or @Gray Bunny because outside of clips...I've stopped watching overall. But from their comments, there was momentum. Has it been lost, you guys? NY...yes, I thought the first episode of their trip was pretty solid so I can't figure out why I was not feeling the second episode too much. I definitely agree that Erin is the type of friend who likes to see her friends fight over her. Because she was way too easily manipulated by Brynn to start up on Ubah and try for a gang-up. I was so happy Rebecca and Sai stood up for Ubah who I thought handled herself well by not fully engaging but staying calm. I love that you are loving Sai this season. And yes, there was nothing she said during the Racquel and her mother scenes that was not ringing true. A whole other side to Sai. Racquel has been nothing, but giving. And I admit that I was scared of this meeting. I will give Eric Fuller his due because Racquel's storyline with her mother has been a nice slow burn. So the scenes could have fallen apart like most of Eric's stuff does. So I was happy to see that was not the case. And I don't think they have even gotten to the meat of it yet so still so invested. That could be because my own relationship with my mother is an interesting one when it comes to me being a gay black man. So it's not just me? re: Jessel. I still like her and her vibe. But she's been backburnered for a while now. Given she was THE fan favorite last season, I do find that worrying.

12-18 Well if JG is going to do anything, it is going to be be sure that the Abbotts are featured. For good or for bad. I'll give credit where credit is due. It is a good idea to deal with the aftereffects of Jack and Diane's schemes. But I have always been annoyed at how the start of Kyle/Diane mess because it was sooooo contrived. And now here comes Kyle feeling a way because Diane has not moved out of the office yet. BOY, BYE. I was like Diane. It felt like they were right back to where they started. We know I could care less about Billy so whatever with his scenes with Jack. I did like the use of the Abbott dining room with Jack and Traci and their talk. And those Dina flashbacks were EVERYTHING. I teared up. It made me wonder if I will ever sit down and watch the Dina death scenes given how triggered they would make me given my own relationship with my mother. But still...good scenes. Can I just say that I love HK's auburn hair? Esther and Diane? Unexpected. But I do love the increased use of Esther as of late. And this was a frest take. And Audra/Sally will always be love. I've been meaning to comment on this. For me, it is too early to tell. I definitely feel there has been a shift. MTS already had an immediate upgrade before the new designer showed up. And that has definitely gone warp speed. I don't think Nikki has had anything on that I haven't loved. She's turned into such a clotheshorse. I feel people are now dressing more for what the weather should be in Genoa City. Outside of Phyllis of course. But even she's been dressing strong. It has just been little things though that has gotten my interest. Sharon FINALLY with something different done to her hair. Or Nick in the short sleeve winter-y shirt which I felt was unusual for him. Different, but not bad.

It would. Naturally and organic through characters that do it or good actors. Look at Maxie. Still had the seriousness that scene needed, but Maxie was still hilarious. And yet...there's been a lot of that this year on the show of things that are right there in front of the writers and yet they don't take the better, organic and more soapy way to do it. Which is a shame because some of those boyfriends had real potential.

Oh yes!!! People have been mentioning it here and there. I can't wait to arrive at those scenes myself. Sooooooooooo excited. I would be down for a quad. He needs to be getting ready for the murder mystery that might wind up coming his way. But I digress...lol. It isn't a nice feeling at all. But remember...rejection is projection. I I agree. MM has been for the most part better since his return. But he still has his moments as I sit here and play catch-up. And he definitely gets on fire when he's with AL and ZS. Well I am only ahead because I fell sick and had time. And lord has it been a chore. Ugh. Again. Happy for your oncoming break though.

I have. Often. Short version...slapsticky humor...which usually in the case of this show is out of place in the context of the show. A good example...during the Holly/Sasha reveal...that was new information for the audience and SHOULD have been played straight and serious to even get the audience on the writers' side. INSTEAD it was being played silly, perhaps campy, and Holly being glib about it...that is slapsticky. Compare the above to Holly's next day scenes where she was telling Felicia and Maxie about the Holly reveal and that was played on screen completely straight and serious. Holly had mixed emotions over it, Felicia was trying to be a good friend, and Maxie was there for some snark and glib that was not at all out of place and IN character. It was giving soap. And in the overall context of the show...did not feel out of place at all. That is what I mean when I say 'wacka wacka' humor. Very. It can be maddening at times because they actually do have some good things. It really does. You get me! Thank you.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
NY The fact that I can sum it up in one word is saddening. Whimper. I liked that Rebecca was finally opening up more. And that she finally was checking Brynn. And then last week, they save their confrontation to this week. And that ended in a bit of whimper. I would say for now. Cuz the vibe that Rebecca was giving was that she would be watching Brynn moving forward AND would pounce if she kept on with what she was doing by coming for her. Then the other cast members trying to keep this growing feud going was a case of them sensing they didn't have anything to show on this trip. There was also Raquel finally meeting her mother after six years. And THAT was good. It showed so much. It also continued why Raquel was a good addition to this cast that was giving nothing on this trip. The setting itself was giving more than I felt the cast was. Now the next new episode though...? THAT looked good. But...another misstep.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHOP Another lowkey episode with a great cliffhanger. But like I've been saying about a lot of things this week and last...still enjoyable, but the momentum this season had has been lost. Personally, I believe that the momentum will blow up again since La Dame vs Mia is in play still and we still have the cast trip coming. So this episode was a little bit of everything. I've already said that I loved how this season was allowing the ladies to have their own stories, and they were being threaded throughout the season. However, this one felt like filler. And it made it feel uneven. But thankfully Jacqueline was trying to be relevant which gave an overarching arc throughout the episode. La Dame wanted to have a couple event. Jacqueline wasn't invited. So of course when Mia mentioned she might come by herself, she was going to invited Jacqueline around. That thirst was real. It was good to keep the episode anchored to something, but still... LA DAME. It is weird to comment on her in light of what's going on with her in real life. But pre-that, it was nice to see her setting up for a HW event. And she was in her bag by not inviting Jacqueline, being there for Stacey, and feuding with Mia. And there was the talk. The one she had with Ray. It was interesting to see her feeling a way about him...only for her stuff to be exploding in real life where he was being a good husband like she had been a good wife during his tax issues. GIZELLE. You know what? I thought Gizelle was joking in interviews when she mentioned that she was still seeing guys she met during the speed dating cuz GIZELLE. So I was HAPPY to see her on her date with Hot Chocolate!!!! I about fell out. Girl DOES have a type. And just watching Gizelle was something different for her. And how oblivious she seem to be to the fact that the guy was devouring her with his eyes. He really seem into her!!! I was like...how does she not see it??? lol. And then she took him to the couples event. Gizelle...is giving. ASHLEY. And not to be outdone, Ashley brought her Jack Harlow. And if Ashley is going to do anything, it'll be get a dig in at Karen. WENDY. Not a thing to say. Sadly. STACEY. lol. Everyone coming for Stacey and TJ was something else. I can't decide if they are trying to open her eyes or just give her more drama for the show. And it was nice to see Stacey's aunt to flower out this relationship between Stacey and TJ. KEIARNA. HELLLLLLLLLLLL-HO, KEIARNA'S BROTHER!!!!! YES, PLEASE!!! Outside of that, Greg continues to come across as someone who doesn't want to be filmed. I continue to feel that will be the potential conflict for Keiarna as an individual storyline. MIA. God, I hate that blond on her. And I loved everyone getting in on her because she came to the couple event without G OR Inc. Of course, I felt she was going to use Jacqueline as her date, but I guess we will see more next year when the next new episode airs. Last new episode on a whimper.

Your mom ain't the only one who swoons. And like Antoyne said...when Isaiah actor gets that look...mmmm *swoons* I admit that as much as it seem like Drew is being written into a corner, CM is making him very love to hate. CM hasn't played Drew like Drew was since he appeared in that prison with all that scruff. So if they are going to do something with Drew....at least we are getting Drew Q. And there was some development to this point. And yes, CM has great antagonistic chemistry with SB's Jason. Love that the simmer it had throughout the year has finally started to boil over and the Qs are right in the middle of it. Then again...whoever wins against Jason?

You would. 😜 Grateful, unless he is involved with She of the Beautiful Dark Locks, I want to say that I'm in the DisLike Sonny crew...but I will admit he only seems to get me out of that crew when he's in scenes with Dante ONLY. It probably was. It was the first time they gave Gio something different to play and it gave the first sign of organic conflict between Gio and Trina if the writers were planning on putting them together which is why those scenes stood out. Gio definitely idolizes Sonny while Trina's friendship with Ava runs deep. Once Gio learned the Sonny/Ava history, he felt a way about Ava getting him to work at the art gallery when he was looking for exposure.

Yeah, that at least is still clear...her love for Jason and Carly. They would probably mess it up, but one can dream. Yay! Good to hear. That might be because most writers...or at least their ideas...do have certain characteristics that can stand out...for better or for worse. I've mentioned for a while things that I liked and things that I don't like in the writing style since the New/Old Writers have taken over. And as the weeks and months have gone by, some characteristics do stand out. And I thought it was very interesting over the last day or so, episodes that have EK's name at the top of the episode have a certain bit of characteristics to them (for me scenes with more emotional resonance as I said yesterday) versus when CVE's have a certain bit of characteristics which happen to be most (note...not all) of the things that have bugged me a bit (as I call it the wacka wacka slapsticky humor) about the style in the writing. But that's me with my writer hat on and picking on me not picking up on that before the last day or so. But my posts stand for themselves so I ain't about to go over every detail of my reasoning since it's just a page or two back. Liberty was simply responding. And I also thought it would be nice now that the New/Old Writers have been there for a good minute to have a discuss on them and their 'individual' episodes so to speak. Regardless of the breakdown writers and script writers, the plotting is still noticeable enough to be noticed IMHO. So depending on writers' name does make a difference.
