I loved today's episode. And yesterday's while I'm thinking of it *cough*danivanessa*cough. It really makes me wonder how aware Production was that this would be airing Halloween week. And that I love. Samantha can shut up. Moreso now that we know June was right about Nathan. That said...Ty and Jessica were so cute and adorable with the matching chess costumes. Since I'm not getting young couple cuteness from Emma and Gio at the moment over on GH, I loved we got it with them. I'm a fan. Don't hate me. But I love the whole family unit. I really love the Nicole/Vernon scenes with special guest SPS Febreeze. We don't get them often and the horror fan in me was loving all the references. I have so much mixed feelings about the Ted/SPS scene. First of all...ugh told you...straight man to her crazy. And I can't believe he would even let her anywhere close to him. That said...I also liked the talk at the same time. That was the MOST mature she has ever been with him. NOW if she was like THAT, I could believe she could organically get Ted back. Okay, I can still believe SPS can with her shenanigans, but I liked that talk and the friend attempt even if at the same time it's ridiculous. And yes @Soaplovers, I totally rewind when Andre said that. But Derek is clearly in 'hide the truth' mode...he sat back down quick when he heard Ashley's voice. And then Ashley not helping her case by turning into Neurotic Ashley (ugh) when Derek was trying to set the date is only going to fuel his insecurity, making him hide his secret even more. Add on what just happened with Naomi/Jacob, Derek will feel justified to keep it. So giving 90s Kristen/Billie. I am really liking it as a solid C plot. Oh...and Samantha vs her parents has a solid C plot as well. And now Kat's about to get a stray. hehe. Well, we are due another Martin/Kat scene this week.

Very much so. It has me seeing so much red...and I'm a Shick fan...that if it wasn't for the wedding in a few weeks, I would just stop watching again...which I stopped when they gave all of Damian's storylines over to BF's Cane AND kill Chance. I guess this is what it is like to hatewatch? I was just thinking last week that so many of us could think of better stories than what is on screen and your story just verifies that.

I saw. Which I've said all along. Though given how I worded my previous post...to be clear...I was not the one saying it was a rewrite. Since I have hoped and theorized that the second major family would either be the Hawthornes since the first time we saw the Elon/Anita scene OR a family for SPS through Dante Green, I was happy at the news of Izaiah.

IKR. Though I liked MAB a bit better. And given the recent spoiler I am seeing red. But hopefully, they will go the way of Ashland and Tara as well.

Now that I have some wiggle room...let me smh. I had mentioned that I was worried about the writers running off the rails. They had been so good at keeping their momentum while shifting between plots. I also got annoyed seeing some of their writing tics picking back up again. It was really reminding me of when GH would have several great months...and then things would abruptly fall off, and it would be annoying as heck to watch. Like from my viewing, there has been an awful lot of talk about Drew's shooting. However, there's been no movement. It started so interesting. Now for me, it feels like watching paint dry. I could care less about Kai and Trina recreating the scene. CM's bubble on those crutches only go so far...though I admit I was Team Sidwell getting Drew right where he want him. I did like something finally happened with Nina and Willow getting arrested. That said...I now have doubts that Willow did it. Either that or she's become that good of an actress. I like that KateMc has been playing Willow in such a way that I'm never not sure if she is going to go off the rails again. Like mother, like daughter. And now Chase is falling under her spell because he's really coming across too invested. I would think BLQ should worry. And I liked Dante calling him out. Now...the storyline that really irked me...Ric's kidnapping. I actually have been enjoying it as we counted down to Ava getting the money back. I hate poor Ava. Give me powerful and monied Ava. And I liked Alexis and Ava on the same side. I liked some of the near-misses more than others (why you teasing me with Ric/Liz scenes when it ain't real?). And I was wondering who would find him...Molly or Liz? So the fact it was CODY. CODY. That was awkward and jarring. It felt like to me either 1) they needed something for Cody to do...even though my mind was thinking it kiiiiiinda worked due to the Ava/Kristina/Cody plot, but that was DONE. So no reason for him to be there OR 2) a way for Molly to be mooooore into Cody...which just didn't feel organic to me. Also not organic? That Ric...for now in the moment...LET THE THREE LADIES GET AWAY WITH IT? Ric who is all about the payback no matter how much he has changed? AH clearly tried to find a way to play that organically with his body language and facial expressions, but NO. I just can't believe that the writers sucked the drama right out of the story. I just smh. I'm actually in awe that the turns the ALIAS storyline took. And I'm surprised that after picking and picking and picking on it, I was invested. Perfect time for it to explode before November Sweeps, too. I had mixed feelings about Carly only getting the partial truth. Cuz these writers do like to tease a storyline out to the point that when we FINALLY get to the end of it...I feel nothing. So Carly getting the WHOLE truth. LW gave such a masterclass. I felt Carly's fury. And I really and truly felt her vs Jason when he told her the truth and that tear fell from her eye after she just unraveled before that. And I really like that...so far...she has said NOTHING to Joss. It surprises me at her keeping it to herself and how LW is subtly playing it as Joss keeps tightening the rope. I can't believe that I want to see what Carly does next. Meanwhile...I agree with the mentions that I've seen. Surely Brennan's days are numbered. Especially with Valentin (ugh) sniffing around onscreen again. Speaking of... So the Nathan Return storyline has stalled. What a shocker. RME. That said...I do like Spinelli as proxy, asking some of the things we have said here. And I still say Britt knows what's going on and that that is not Nathan. And now Faison's name has entered the chat by Brennan and Val. Ugh. I did like the scene I watched with Brennan and Anna over that though. And I don't like the writers are about to use Charlotte (I'm really loving the recast) to prop up Britt. Speaking of... Yeah...Britt's return is a flop. I know I'm in the minority, but she left in a good place. And after a good start, her return to PC has just flopped. Not helped by the heavy amount of propping they have to do rather than...I don't know writing her? I now can't stand to see her on my screen because I just know it's going to turn the scenes into some illogical sitcom. And they can keep that. I don't have an opinion on the Veronica storyline yet. Outside of the in-joke of her name. I'm curious to see where it goes. And I do feel a vibe of there being more than meets the eye. Is she just wandering around town or just seeking information? I feel the latter. But I love seeing ES on my screen again. I just wish they would stop writing Tracy as a harpy. I do like the Qs being in the middle of Veronica vs Tracy though. Ooo and I though the Gio/Veronica scene was cute. Sidenote...the giggle I let out when I was just talking about Lucas and Marco last week and to see them together.

10-27 Oh, look!!! It's Donna!!! You know what? I'm still smarting from the fact that it's not Krista Allen playing this beat (since it started with her), but I have to say that I'm enjoying this incoming Taylor/Deacon/Sheila triangle. And perhaps I shouldn't have been so annoyed now that it's happening. Back then, there was not too many stakes to it. Now? It could be juicy. And if Sheila goes back to her old ways...well...yay? The only false note so far has been Sheila and Li actually getting along. I want them as frenemies and I want Round 3. I couldn't care less about Liam and Hope (though I'm happy Daphne might be getting her man. ). Because they still have the same issues they had when they were together and I don't feel either of them have grown. Perhaps Hope has, but Liam? I just don't see it ending well. Then again, given the tea that SC spill recently about how originally Brad was really going to kill Liam off after all, it just seems like BB is out of ideas.

Oh, there was from me just glancing around. I believe one of them you have on ignore. Otherwise, I feel the same as you. There was plenty of room for other Hawthornes for that very reason. So no reason for anyone to say retcon. And yet...?

It really has for me for the most part as well and I just keep it moving. But that particular one was like a hornet in my hat so once I saw the NEXT WEEK synopsis...I knew. I just sat back and waited for it to air because I knew they would explain it ON AIR. Just like they explained Hayley right down to the doctor her and Randy paid off. Now do I expect a retcon some day? More than likely. It's the nature of soaps these days. But I expect that in a FEW YEARS. 8 months in however? Nope. Perhaps some course correction now that I believe we are hitting the episodes where the writers should be seeing audience feedback, but I don't feel they will do something and make it contradict what we have already seen/heard.

Not you, too! lol. You're not alone, my friend. I was just talking to Antoyne about how I can't seem to get to binging DAYS cuz I'm watching (and in the case of BTG rewatching) the other soaps. And now you and the HW shows. Outside of RHOP, I'm 2 (going on 3 since it's tonight) behind on SLC, and going on two seasons behind on OC. And I STILL haven't watched RHOM Reunion Part 3 yet.

Thank you! You were not alone on that. And they still gave Luke a stray comment here and there, too. So I know you...like me...feel some vindication today. We already knew that the Hawthornes were a police family since that first Anita meeting with Elon. I figured too that there would either be a bad boy brother (but a cop) or some form of a black sheep, too. So far...I'm liking what I'm seeing because it's so organic conflict and relatable. Same re: Luke. And I can see that happen, too. And how you worded gives me hope that Izaiah will be the misunderstood, but good brother and Luke might actually be the bad boy in the end after all.

Now...GOOD. Regardless of the several people who mentioned that Luke DID exist and that the Hawthornes were probably a bigger family (how else can you have a second family introduced and it has seen like the writers might go that way due off of the first scene between Anita and Elon where we got family info in the first place? But we all know I lean toward the Hawthornes being the next major family to come onto the show for a middle-class family but I digress...), people were really running with 'it's a retcon' narrative. Nitpicking to nitpick. Thankfully, I figured...since I read the NEXT WEEK synopsis...that Elon would be popping up for 1) more clarification which is standard old school soap when introducing a family member and 2) to get interaction between the newest member of the family so the audience can get a feel for it them and warm up to the new member...which is also an old school soap thing. So .
