Marlena didn't "cut back". She left the hospital on personal leave. She doesn't need an assistant as she's only seeing private patients of her choosing in her own home. Xander and Sarah are literally her only patients along with a couple of sessions with EJ that haven't continued at her request. I am not sure how that's half the town. I don't think she's even seeing Leo anymore.

To me, he only had chemistry with his on-screen sister when Lexi played her and some with Abby. Starr and Michael were fine, I suppose, but so many things had to happen to make it work and then she just left lol.

I definitely think Chad could have done it if given a chance before he checked out. RG comes off more cold than Duell and his puppy dog eyes though. I think some of the problem was trying to fit Chad into a romantic lead and it didn't work at all. He never had chemistry with anyone.

I think hindsight is 20/20 and we only knew what we knew yesterday from Kirsten's own statements. Things changed today. I don't believe anyone here was being outright cruel here. I wish Storms a speedy recovery and hope she can finally get to the bottom of her health issues. It must be frustrating, and I am sorry this is happening to her. You are correct in stating the show still has a Maxie problem and now a larger one. I was slightly confused by her posts, so I don't know how long her recovery process will be. Personally, I think the show should give her ample time to truly get healthy and write Spinelli/Maxie off in a happier fashion. Perhaps an extended spa/rehab facility where we know Maxie is out of the coma but still needs treatment. James/Georgie/Bailey can stay with Mac/Felicia. Figure the rest out when KS is up to it. I have no clue what to do with Nathan. You can always go with prolonged amnesia or something to stall the process. I would probably let him complete his arc and dump Nathan though.

I always thought AnnaLynne was the best part of the messy 90210 reboot, so I am not surprised. Once she got out of the dour fakeAbby story she was allowed to be a bit more lighthearted and sillier. I also think the Greene family has potential. I am not sure if it will ever be realized, but I like the idea of the siblings all rallying around one another.

I think it depends on what the show does with Nathan. If it's some sort of brainwashed, villain turn it's going to fail. If it's Ryan Paevey holding Maxie's purse shirtless while KS does the heavy lifting that is fine. There is a place for Nathans and Chases, but I think a short format like Hallmark where you only need to keep the story up for 2 hours and wrap it up works better than continuing content for these types of leads.

I do like Carly's only defense is that she's never killed anyone before and doesn't care enough to kill Drew now so she obviously didn't do it lol. It's actually believable. When Nina tried to counter such logic, Carly was all, "meh? It's the past. No one cares". I do think Dante's warning to Sonny was funny. Apparently, he's the only one that remembers Sonny/Nina were once married. Sonny assumed it was Carly.

Since these two have never said anything about the scandal and pretended Missy left the show to spend time with her family and kids even with a very non discrete lawsuit, it doesn't surprise me They've always been tone deaf, so I think it's possible they think people want their marriage advice. They have been married a long time. I guess whatever works lol.

Fair lol. I am one of the few that find her an engaging performer. The character is a mess, but I find her likeable. She could definitely work on the God network if that was her thing.

AnnaLynne capitalizes the Lynne in her name so even though it's one word I still acknowledge it. Since no one else on Days has AM as initials I suppose it doesn't matter. The second C in McCord is also capitalized I guess you could say ALMc, but you might as well spell her name at that point lol.

I don't have any ill will towards Genie either. It was a bit annoying for viewers that she kept extending, but she was very clear. She is Laura. To me there is no comparison between her and Storm's absences. Again, I wish the best for Storms and her family, but it might be time to cut the losses with her. If she returns in a month or so I'll eat my words. If I were Kirsten or GH, I would have made a very brief statement about her needed some personal time off. That's it. Very understandable But she went on instagram and made a couple of videos saying I am moving, I need 6 months off, I am still on contract, no recast, and I MIGHT be back by November. Could you imagine any employer letting you do that? Lol

I would say KS's many absences are a bigger issue than the others. Kelly, Pullos, and JJ are gone and they were more isolated incidents as far as time off regardless of reasons. Kirsten has taken years off. She owes me no explanation, but when she openly says I am getting 6-7 months to move and staying on contract while doing so it does look like preferential treatment. -especially when there is a story happening where she is quite relevant. Idk, Genie stalling the Cassadine story was annoying. But she is Laura. Maxie can be recast. And Genie was very transparent about her extended maternity leave. I am not saying it's right, but it's a lot more believable than I need a year off for endometriosis, weeks off for psoriasis, and half a year to move across the country. I do wish Kirsten the best and it's not my place to judge. I personally would have ditched her years ago even if Maxie did have a great renaissance these last few years. I could just be a very mean and cynical person though lol.

Yeah, I don't think Beemer is the best actor in the world although it's always been so odd to me that no one utilizes him. It's not one specific regime that has no idea what to do. It's been 20 years lol. They really hard ended Jada/Rafe, so I assumed it would move into Jada/Shawn with Belle/Phillip/EJ being around. I don't have strong personal feelings about Rafe, but it's also strange they keep GG around and do very little with him. Since budget is a constant issue I would think you would cut him until there was an actual story for him.

Who even knows what's going on with KS? Lol. I was getting confused with them switching her and the pinch hitter Maxie out at different times. GH is awful at Friday cliffhangers. So it you are binge watching it's probably okay. If you are live watching I would question why they ended with something memorable on Tuesday, but Jason's staring out a window on Friday lol.

AK and DF do have chemistry. I guess my biggest issue with Stephanie is that she has a full plate of love interests already-and they hire more lol. She has four current exes/bf's on the canvas-Phillip, Chad, Jeremy, and Alex. So that really has nothing to do with going with chemistry or the believability of Cat/EJ, but more my dislike of Stephanie getting another man while someone like Jada gets nothing. Maybe if they allow Shawn to appear again Jada will get action.

I don't need another baby story for several years, but I thought there was an idea there when she told Chad "James" was her old boyfriend, Chad kept seeing Rafe's texts, and Rafe/James left her food. It could have been dropped. EJ paying for a date with Cat and hiring her as an assistant should lead somewhere too. It's hard to tell. The show might just be exploring options. I am surprised ALM is staying because of the awful storyline, but I'd probably stay even if my only job was to clean Deidre Hall's dressing room so I can't fault her.😂

Yes, so we agree on all lol. I think GH could have done a better job building more of Britt's secret, held Nathan until KS was able to return, or even worked out block filming for her. I have accused GH of being boring and having no cliffhangers fairly recently (mostly pre-Drew's villain turn), but now it's like GH has so many "big" things happening everything is getting lost in the shuffle. There's a real pacing problem. It's either too much or too little. It's more a serious of events than organic story telling, but most soaps have this issue currently.

I love the more mature version of Spixie. I know a lot of it's on Bradford's schedule and whatever Storms is doing, but the couple finally wasn't bouncing off walls with hyperactivity and weird nicknames and it basically became a D story lol. Spinelli is finally acting like a responsible adult and father and the show cares nothing about it. To me having Britt come back and then Nathan in a matter of weeks kills the impact, if that makes sense? Sure, I assume it's connected, but it such a small group people reacting to it that it lessens the importance. Great for Liesel that she has both her dead kids back, but have we seen her since she broke up with Scott a few years ago? Thanks! I remember people being sad about him dying, but outside of Storms doing some decent work with Nathan's death, I barely recall any of it.

Were Nathan and Maxie even that popular? I remember liking it fine but not being terribly invested. I have no idea what fans on other platforms think lol. I swear some strange characters have large fanbases that I don't understand at all. Again, Nathan and Chase are the same person to me so what do I know?
