Yeah, even Willow and Michael couldn't save today.

GH is very uneven. Some days are good and some are super boring. Days is generally more even. That's not to say it's better, just slightly more consistent day to day.

No comments on today's show? Was it preempted in places? Well, if it was no one missed anything except exciting girl talk from DA lady and Jordan at the yoga studio, Aunt Stella forcing Portia to let everyone decorate HER nursery, Danny trying to join the mob at 14, and Carlos Rota chewing more scenery than Pascal and Van combined.

Yeah, I don't see FV letting James go. Those type of kids are his favorite although little James doesn't bother me in a Violet or Wiley kind of way lol. He's passably cute.

I would definitely write Maxie/Spinelli off but give them a wedding first if KS is still available. Mac/Felicia can keep James to bond with "Nathan" and eventually an aged Georgie will make her way to town. I hope the show will at least get KS back (or a temp recast) to complete the Nathan story. She should at least be around for the reveal and have some reaction to it. It really feels like everyone got their wires crossed with this story. I have to assume Frank took Kirsten at her word when she said she'd be back in the late fall, which I don't know why given her history of extending breaks. I certainly wouldn't have built a story around Maxie without having Kirsten in the building lol.

Oh, I am sure she isn't, but she did make a huge deal of saying that she was on her own social media lol. I agree she was doing good work the last few years. That being said I am personally over her and the situation. If she can't commit for more than a few weeks after months off AGAIN, find someone who can or write Maxie off.

Not if he wanted to let the contract run out and then let her go, so he didn't get sued. I assume she will be back too, and Frank just finally cut her to recurring when her contract ended or told he couldn't work around her schedule anymore. She said in her last farewell post she knew she might be let go, so I assume she's okay with that.

Oh, the Kirsten Storms endless cycle of exits and returns. I have my suspicions she stayed on contract while she was gone and Frank let it run out once she came back or cut her loose. I wonder if she will get an exit or just pop in from time to time. I also recall hearing Finola's exit was medical related, but I do think it was on here lol.

I have already stated why I don't think it will happen and won't repeat myself. I still don't agree with your reasoning and don't see the relevancy of bringing up other soaps. How Beyond the Gates cast their actors has absolutely nothing to do with how Days cast theirs.

I am not aware of any human who would find the creepy butler relatable. If he disappeared tomorrow I would not notice. I guess it was implied that he had a crush on him? I couldn't really tell because Pascal made Van look subtle yesterday.

Is all this Pascal stuff even worth the effort or time? I genuinely don't care about him at all and that was ridiculous.

Yeah, I am not sure why this idea is even being entertained. It makes no sense from a logical, creative, or legal standpoint. Holly is 20 years old. Why would you need Nicole to be younger?

How would you break up Laura and Kevin? I know you aren't a fan either.

I wouldn't kill off Kevin. I still have hope for he and Lucy one day. I guess he could be presumed dead or something.

I don't mind Laura as a mayor in theory. It keeps her in the heart of the action. The execution of her role as Mayor makes her look weak and incompetent, which I don't think is the intention. I also agree about her and Kevin. It's a non-romance. There is no story there because JL is busy doing other things. Frankly, I am not sure JL/Kevin can appear long enough to even give them a proper breakup lol.

I disagree. There is casting someone younger as a recast on a soap and there is casting Nicole as someone 15 years younger on Days. Arianne Zucker sued Days over mistreatment, discrimination, retaliation and sexual harassment. Even if all parties have settled, casting someone younger like that for Nicole essentially proves her point. That would be an awful look for the show and is guaranteed to fail. To me it's 2 different issues. Besides, in general, Days doesn't usually go younger with their recasts.

I really liked Carnes and thought Van wasn't great at first, but I have come around. Van makes Lucas seem much more alive and fun than Carnes did although Carnes would have probably been better today lol. Again, Van isn't anywhere near my list of people that GH should get rid of. Speaking of people to get rid of, Kai might get taken down by Willow after today. That would put Trina in the Maxie range of dead boyfriends though.

Van was over the top, but it was entertaining. Like I said he's at least half alive unlike, say, Mo lol. I do buy grief comes in waves, but that was more a tsunami than a wave lol. Van is fine as Lucas to me. He just very hit or miss in the acting department. His style doesn't really fit the more "low key" GH acting. Laura is not a great mayor, but I am more curious as to why Kevin is dragging a toddler Ace around the world. That seems inconvenient.

GH loves to have Lulu violated and act like she's ridiculous for bringing up any concern. It's not even like she harps on it or constantly talks about it. She's just considered in the wrong for discussing the reasons she is not being welcoming enough to Valentin or Britt. She should literally get restraining orders on them for real.

On a different note, I think we all knew Wiley was awful at baseball and his coach hates him, right? Kai didn't even want to try coaching that lol. Paevey was fine as Nathan. As a villain? Not so much. I don't exactly care because he does as well as I thought he would do at it. Van Hansis is not great, but at least he's trying something? I guess?

I have no love for Ken Corday, but even he isn't that stupid. Could you even imagine the fan outcry? Plus, you know, Nicole has a 20-year-old daughter, so it's not even possible.

The best part of today was EJ mentioning Susan left town lol.

Why would the show do that? That would make no sense given Nicole's history and be horrible. I have no idea if AZ's lawsuit was ever settled with Days, but it would only add fuel to the fire casting someone a decade younger lol.

@Antoyne and @Vee-I actually think both Sidwell and Sonny/Jason are ineffective. Sure Sidwell's has made moves, most notably setting Michael on fire, but all he generally does is take actions that result in minor setbacks or small wins. He runs the entire town by blackmailing people, but his son was still murdered so, good job? I agree both Sonny and Jason are completely incompetent at this point and yet by doing nothing Sidwell still took the hardest hit. Obviously this will all drag out for many more months because Jason is in prison or whatever, so I expect a whole lot of lateral moves until Steve returns.
