  1. I suppose you could count Lovers & Friends and How to Survive a Marriage. Thanks for all the info you're giving - I have read up on some of the Lipton period but you're helping to clarify just why the material didn't take off beyond the usual answer (that he was a bad writer). I would love to know why Irna became so obsessed with killing characters off in fires, which she was repeatedly stopped from doing (the other was Liz on ATWT).
  2. Thanks. I've mostly just watched the last moments over the years. So I guess he's just meant to look like Travis because he has a 'fro? Imagine if she had gotten hooked on Bob Ross repeats instead... Poor Louan Gideon did play the moment well.
  3. I didn't realize they were still mentioning Erica. I'm glad she still lives on.
  4. I think this is Carrie Mowery (the doomed Jackie Marler recast) in the ad at 42 minutes - if so it's the only place I've ever seen her outside of GL.
  5. Thanks as always @slick jones I know all the time and effort your work takes, especially the last few weeks with so many losses.
  6. I always assumed she was let go, as the show was writing out that whole teen scene and she has been written into a corner anyway.
  7. ‘The Boys’ Prequel Series With Jensen Ackles Ordered By Prime Video (deadline.com)
  8. Thanks for the date.
  9. No problem. I miss his posts too. I know he hasn't been here in a long time but just in case I thought I'd tag him. Glad he's doing well.
  10. @Soapsuds Thanks. @OzFrog Melanie would have remained excellent, as she seemed to truly embody all the nuances of the writing. I am glad she didn't have to play most of the writing MKH had though.
  11. Not sure if this one is already up on HamiltonBernique or elsewhere but just in case it isn't (this person's channel is putting out a lot of great stuff): @Vee @marceline @Khan @Contessa Donatella @slick jones @Kane @Jonathan @alwaysAMC @Paul Raven @dc11786 @DemetriKane @SFK @FrenchFan @All My Shadows @Janet Marlowe @soapfan770 @vetsoapfan @EricMontreal22 @Franko @TheyStartedOnSoaps @Faulkner @Maxim @Liberty City @j swift @dragonflies @AmandainNC28655 @danfling @Forever8 @NothinButAttitude @AllMyDaysatGH @will81 @Soapsuds @Joseph @Sapounopera
  12. I was going through a disc and found some clips of Angie and Jacob I'd downloaded off Youtube years and years ago. I am not sure if the Loving clips are already up, but I checked and this from The City wasn't as far as I could tell. If anyone can help with a closer date, I'd appreciate it. I think it's late October or early November 1996, if that helps with your playlist @Joseph.
  13. That's what I thought too. I think I may just have never watched the scene...
  14. Oh I might be mixing it up with when Dennis Parlato returned at the end of Loving as a lookalike. Sorry.
  15. That's hilarious. Thanks. She does get some of the Debbi mannerisms. Kudos to them for managing to film in a real grocery store.
  16. Which is why I said I could see them doing the same with Tabyana. Not insisting on sticking out the contract.
  17. This is so sweet. (I wonder if Frank is asking Ric to try to get Melina on the line)
  18. Steve was already ill around the August 1975 episode (the synopses posted mention him having a dizzy spell). I think he goes into remission and then when Nouri presumably wanted to leave, his illness returned, and he died.
  19. That was absolutely a big factor. It was easier to write for the Aldens around him as they were generally more one-dimensional. Cooper might be a more successful version of what they initially tried with Curtis.
  20. Of all the Aldens that would be centered on for most of the show's run (Trisha, Gwyn, Clay, and to a point Cabot and Isabelle), Curtis is the one who is most interesting, especially the jovial nature that belies an uglier underbelly. It's a shame the show lost this in the early '90s and then finally just made him a headcase.
  21. I agree, but I wonder if they may just be willing to work something out anyway. Wait several more months and then have a mutual statement, with Trina then saying she can't stay in Port Charles because of too many memories of Spencer. Laura wishes her well, and Joss says oh that's sad, now I don't have a friend, and Trina tells her everybody loves her, and then Trina leaves.
