From what I gather, as Wendy Williams was getting ready to go in air she got a text from Nene that said “I quit.” Wendy announced it immediately on her show without talking to Nene. Wendy also mentioned that she feels Nene needs to stay because she needs this platform to discuss a big personal secret in her life. She said Greg is healthy, but the secret will touch peoples hearts and instead of fighting with the girls over stupid stuff, she needs to use her platform to showcase whatever that is. Now Nene is pissed because she feels Wendy shouldn’t have said what she told her. She said she was just venting about quitting and hasn’t decided anything. I am curious what this secret is though.

The thing with Shannon, Tamra and Vicki is that I have liked all of them at times, but they can never move forward with things so it gets tiring. On New York or Atlanta they can be fighting like cats and dogs, but they suck it up and keep filming and move forward. To me they are the biggest problem on OC which is why I want some sort of shake up. Not because I don’t like them, but because they don’t allow the story to move forward.

Her comments gave me life! I love this new Hillary that isn't running for office and can say whatever she wants. She's been very vocal about how Bernie hurt her campaign.

I'm so curious about this as well. I just can't see him getting it because he's so polarizing and hasn't seemed to expand on his base, just maintaining it. He says he won't do what he did last time and will back the nominee, but I find that *so* hard to believe. If he doesn't get the nomination I fully expect him to drag his campaign along until the convention and once again say it was rigged against him. If you thought his fans were bad last time, I feel they'll be worse this time.

The Peggy/Lydia season was IMO the last good season and was exciting from beginning to end. There was constant drama and I felt like Lydia and Peggy both brought the glam back that we lost when Heather left. What upset fans was that the girls were rarely together all 7 in a group, but the blame fell on Lydia and Peggy even though the group was fractured because Shannon, Kelly, Vicki and Tamra refused to film together. Peggy had a rough go of it because she joined the show right after having a double mastectomy and that coupled with her language barrier I feel hurt her with fans. Lydia ended up getting backlash when they dressed in male drag because she said she didn't understand drag. As a drag queen myself I wasn't offended. She didn't understand, but she got in boy drag and she clearly was open to learning about it. I didn't find that homophobic. I LOVED Lydia dragging Shannon from the moment they met until the reunion and I loved how Peggy got under Shannon's skin. They also had one of their very best cast trips ever. This cast definitely deserved a second season!

There are multiple women rumored to be in the running, including one black lady who posted a video of herself doing test filming. I know there is a blonde lady who is friends with Cary and Kary. I believe most are friends with D'Andra so I'd say she's most likely safe. I think the Brandi news has probably left Bravo confused on what to do. I hope it leads us to a true reboot. I want a minimum of 3 new housewives, preferably 4. It's do or die for Dallas, they need a dynamic cast/season or it needs to end. DC and Miami didn't die for this mediocrity. Potomac gets better and better each season, there is just no excuse for Dallas being as boring as it is. Also, not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but Andy said we won't get a Beverly Hills trailer for another month, which would put the premiere in March or April. I'm beginning to think the early rumors of filming being dull were true. It's clear there was a retool when Brandi and Camille came in. Now Brandi is posting hints that Denise may be filming with Joanna Krupa (from RHOM) and the girls recently went to New York to film Erika on Broadway. I'm wondering if filming was extended to account for the slow early months. Something similar has also happened with the upcoming season of Southern Charm. They ended up scrapping what they shot because it wasn't very good and their former cast member accused of sexual assault (I think his name is Thomas?) is rumored to be back.

There’s a rumor on Twitter that Peacock is negotiating to have the entire run of Days of Our Lives. If that happens it would be a game changer for soaps streaming!

I feel like the Real Housewives franchise has become a lot safer in their casting choices because of what they perceived as mistakes in previous years. Looking at the transition into streaming, it's possible lower ratings for RHOM and RHONY with their season 5 reboot came from people switching to DVR and streaming. Now we get stuck with HWs like Teddi or Gina who should've been a one and done. With RHOC it's clear they've been telling the same story with no freshness *and* casting has been weak. They need to either do a major revamp or give up at this point. I don't know why it's a struggle. With RHOA they do keep the cast mostly the same, but their little refreshes somehow work. The relationships evolve and the friends (Tanya, Eva, Marlo etc) give just enough to keep it fresh. OC they're too set in their ways to keep the same cast and expect something different. I'd honestly fire Tamra AND Vicki. Now speaking on that RHOA midseason trailer, that looks REALLY good! I loved the Wendy Williams cameo and that she was telling Nene to try and repair her relationships with these girls. It's a shame because this is once again Nene's fault. I don't really fault her on the Kenya stuff, but she's now on Twitter fighting with Kandi saying that she's in an alliance with Cynthia to protect Kenya. Kandi has repeatedly posted that she wants Nene to come on her Speak On It show to say her side of things and Kandi has even asked the fans to convince Nene to do it. She's complaining that Kandi is supporting Kenya, but she's also trying to support her and give her a voice, but she doesn't want to do it. What does she expect then? Kandi can't defend what she doesn't understand. Why she's trying to cause a problem with Kandi is just insane. Kandi is the least of her worries.

@Khan Eboni was a weekend and fill in anchor until she got her own show called The Fox News Specialists where it was two Democrats and one republican host. It ended up canceled when the republican host was busted for sexual harassment. This segment I’m posting is the most memorable segment on the show. She got endless death threats and had to get security due to calling out racism. The general format of the show was very similar to The View except it was two women and one man.

I do think it's a difficult place to work, but she was TERRIBLE on the show. Just incredibly dull, so I feel she probably quit before she got fired at the end of the season. I could see her working better on a non-political entertainment talk show like Extra or ET. The only time she was interesting was talking at movies or pop culture things. Long shot because she's never guested to my knowledge, but I've always wanted Eboni Williams to become a co-host. She's a black former Fox News anchor who faced lots of trouble there for being a democrat. She's so good at expressing her thoughts and would fit in perfectly here. It's always shocked me she's never at least guest hosted. If Meghan thinks Sunny and Joy get her blood boiling, I don't know what they'd do against Eboni. I feel because of her serious news background she's better at getting to the facts of the story. It pains me that we don't have one true journalist on the panel. I miss the days of Meredith and Lisa Ling.

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is deep into filming now and surprise, this is one of the rumored HWs! Color me impressed if true. She’s married to her step grandpa so you know she bout to be a mess!

I'll admit this stunned me and made no sense. This franchise showed a woman getting an eviction notice, the reveal that one is an alcoholic/potential drug addict, another being beat by her husband, sons shoplifting at walmart and the list goes on. What made them think this wouldn't air?! Stephanie elaborated on WWHL by explaining Leanne has done similar things in the past and it never aired so they assumed because she was sort of the headliner of the show that they'd continue to protect her. I LOVED the moment when she called Kameron out and revealed the producers told them it was going to air which is why it was brought up. I don't envy the producers for next season though. They definitely need a retool, but I just don't know what to do with it after that reunion. I know they usually jump into filming but they may need to wait and let the dust settle and figure out what they're gonna do. That's what Andy said is happening with RHOC. Normally they'd get pickup letters by now, but he said casting for new wives is so good they don't know what direction to go in.

On one hand I could see this being true because obviously an ex wife of Charlie Sheen isn't gonna be shy, but like y'all said Brandi is so messy I can't imagine her being so stupid! I also second, why isn't Nicolette either on the show or on WWHL! She has never publicly attacked Rinna or Denise, yet her name keeps being mentioned. She deserves a chance to stand up for herself. Okay Queen Camille stays keeping us informed! She previously told us Denise hadn’t quit and was filming after those rumors hit. Now she’s denying that this is true, but implying it is a rumor Brandi is spreading to get back on the show.

Okay if this is true I may have to go back to stabbing Beverly Hills.

Gina Tognoni worked because Phyllis became a scrappy outsider again. I won't deny Joshua Morrow and Michelle Stafford had chemistry, but putting her with Nick killed the character. It didn't help that that was the start of the writing changes, but they suddenly turned Phyllis into a goofy heroine which she never should've been. The biggest loss to Y&R in general is the isolation. The importance that was help by being in a scene with Victor Newman for example. Now everybody knows everybody regardless of their place in life and it removes a layer from the show.

Oh absolutely. Nene had a pretty decent season last year and threw it all away at the end with the Hong Kong trip, closet-gate and turning on everybody at the reunion. Despite other sources of revenue, the amount of money she makes from this show is substantial and she knows she needs to befriend some of these ladies to continue. It's obvious she wasn't expecting them to carry on without her and is now trying to slide back in there. I love Nene, but she does it to herself everytime! Just like last season, this couldve been her year! When Kenya left the show they were friends! All of this could've been avoided and she could still be on top as the HBIC she wants to be. I will say, I did enjoy her scenes this past week. I love her relationship with Kandi and I love seeing her try to slide back in like nothing happened. It was an enjoyable episode.

I wasn't expecting that but I will say it makes me more interested in watching this. I loved Josie on Champions (a great show that deserved a longer run) prior to her transition and I'm happy she's still able to get work. I hope this works out!

So we're onto our third CC (technically fourth if you include the unaired one) and we're only 60 episodes in. This is just insane to me. For such a central role it's weird they couldn't figure it out. The first on screen CC was great and I wish he had stayed. The second one was *terrible* and stiff and came off very old. Seeing him with Santana just didn't work. I'm only one episode into the third CC so I can't really make a judgement, but I was taken aback. I was expecting the previous guy to remain until Jed Allen arrives. I will say I'm glad to see Paul Burke go. In terms of the story I continue to be impressed with the changes they're making. After being in the background they finally have given Warren something to do by making him the prime suspect to Channing's murder. It also has helped deepen the character of Augusta by showing her maternal side as she tries to help her son. I also like how they explained the situation with her and Joe Perkins, which makes sense given what we now know. There is also a new character named Brick who seems interesting. I enjoy Minx so having him tied to her has helped me warm to him. Another thing that shocked me was Amy Perkins popping up during Joe's fake funeral. I had heard this family fizzled out so I wasn't expecting another sister. I don't mind her so far. In general most of the new characters seem to fit in really well. The only issue is that they can't seem to cast a proper CC lol. Gina, Brick, Amy and Eden all feel like they belong and they're enhancing the story for the characters we already know which is how new characters should be. Right now I'm just waiting with baited breath for this earthquake. From the screen caps that accompany the episodes I know I'm maybe two weeks away from that. I can't wait to see the production values of that. I've heard about this earthquake for years and can't wait to finally see it!

I can't wait for them to finally announce the timeline for this! This is the most exciting soap news in ages. I just hope when they announce it that there isn't a long wait between the announcement and launch. I don't care what the cost I'm ready for them to take my money lol.

Despite the faults, the short run of this show always made me wish it got put on a streaming network. I know it aired on BET and they could put it on BET+ although I know nobody would ever think to do that. From the few episodes I have seen and just from the all star cast, I'd watch it, warts and all. I know it may not have been executed as well as it could've been, but considering how soaps are now it might hold up okay.

Denise Richards mentioned on a recent SOD podcast that she auditioned for Carrie Brady on DAYS when the role was recast in the 90s. She said that was the only time she came close to a soap gig in the past. I can't say I can picture her in the role, but I think JER would've had fun with her.

Speaking of Marissa, I’d heard how successful she’s been since moving back to the US so it makes me wonder why SHE hasn’t been placed on RHOBH. I’d certainly take her over someone like Teddi as your “nice” HW. Caroline on the other hand would only fit on New York and that’s if she moves there. As for a potential reboot, I hadn’t heard that and wouldn’t be opposed. Honestly, I felt it should’ve been a HWs series and regardless of whether or not they use people from this show, a Real Housewives of London is overdue.

I got distracted with some other shows and also bored so my Santa Barbara viewing slowed down. I'm around episode 50 now and I've noticed the couple weeks the pace has been picked up tremendously. The boring teen set with Melissa Reeves is finally on the backburner post summer so they're focusing more on the characters that work. Santana continues to be a delight. It still shocks me this actress didn't last. She has such a presence and good chemistry with Mason and this block of wood CC. Loving Gina and Brandon's arrival and the reveal that Dominic is a woman. You can see them focusing in on what is working and as they do the show is becoming more interesting. I'm also loving Lionel and Eden who both popped up late. For a new soap I will say casting has mostly been on point. I have very few complaints. I will also say that Marcy Walker is fantastic. I get no shades of Liza and considering Kelly is a heroine I was expecting Eden to come in as a bad girl. At least so far I don't see that happening. She's refreshing and feels like a piece of the Capwell puzzle that was missing. Right now the biggest thing I'm waiting for is Sophia to be revealed! I'm ready to see how her family reacts to her return.

Okay I finished this weeks episode. Again, it was good and RHOA is ALWAYS watchable IMO, but this season continues to be disjointed and lackluster. Here's my thoughts on the invididual wives... Friends Yovanna, Marlo and Tanya - First of all Yovanna needs to go. She is boring and if she didn't (I suspect) record Cynthia she'd have no purpose. SHe needs to go. Marlo has been like a top tier HW this season. I love her interactions with the group and just want Moore. Tanya has been light on airtime so far, but she is still delightful. I feel she's a crucial piece of the ensemble because she brings JOY to the show. With all the dark storylines and shade it's nice to have one person who is there to uplift. Again, I need Moore of Tanya. Nene - I know many hate her now, but to me she's the same stand faced hater she always has been and I LOVE her! I look forward to her return and I just hope from here on out it's consistent. I don't want her to appear on the trip, then we gotta wait 3 more episodes for her to see the girls again. Kandi - As always she's fun. I especially enjoy the awkwardness she has on the trip with the dancing and whatnot. They need to feed my girl! Porsha/Cynthia - I feel both have been providing the majority of the story this season and I don't have any complaints. I feel like Cynthia should leave every year, but she pulls something out to make me okay with her staying. Eva - NEEDS.TO.GO. How she has lasted this long is beyond me. Boring as hell and once again we're doing the fake story where she doesn't remember what she said. I just don't care when she pops up. Plus, she has hardly been around so how does she have a peach? They definitely need to suck it up and swap her for Marlo and Tanya next season.
