May 13, 201115 yr Author Administrator PERSON OF INTEREST stars Jim Caviezel, Emmy Award winner Michael Emerson and Academy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson in a crime thriller about a presumed dead former-CIA agent who teams up with a mysterious billionaire to prevent violent crimes by using their own brand of vigilante justice. Reese’s (Caviezel) special training in covert operations appeals to Finch (Emerson), a software genius who invented a program that uses pattern recognition to identify people about to be involved in violent crimes. Using state-of-the-art surveillance technology, the two work outside of the law using Reese’s adept skills and Finch’s unlimited wealth to unravel the mystery of the person of interest and stop the crime before it happens. Reese’s actions catch the attention of the NYPD, including homicide detective Carter (Henson), and Fusco (Kevin Chapman), a cop who Reese uses to his advantage. With infinite crimes to investigate, Reese and Finch find that the right person, with the right information, at the right time, can change everything. Emmy Award winners J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk (“Lost”), Academy Award nominee Jonathan Nolan (“Memento”), David Semel (“Heroes”) and Greg Plageman (“Cold Case”) are the executive producers for Warner Bros. Television.
September 23, 201114 yr Member I was bored half way through the show and lost interest and muted the show. I'll give it one more shot next week and if isnt good I have my 8pm hour free for other things.
September 23, 201114 yr Member I really loved it. It's different that your typical CBS crime drama. I'll definitely be tuning in next week.
September 23, 201114 yr Member I thought it was ok. I'll watch again, but it also creeped me out a little. The whole Big Brother thing.
September 23, 201114 yr Member I thought it was good. They even managed to throw in the word LOST...lol
September 23, 201114 yr Member I do find it funny how much credit JJ Abrams gets for Lost (and I'm not a huge Lost fan though I liked the first year a lot). He restructured the concept and restructured the pilot, but as he's quick to point out he didn't even consult on ANY of the rest of the show--so even less involvement than he has in, for istance, Fringe, or flop shows from his company like What About Brian and Six Degrees. I recorded the show. It got good reviews, and I like the creator (well I like his scripts for Momento and The Prestige, I find Dark Knight a bit overated), so I'll give it a chance... But I just can't get around to watching it. Something about the concept and ads seems... well, dull to me.

September 24, 201114 yr Author Administrator I agree. It was nice to see something that isn't another CSI type show. Agreed. CBS usually sticks to the tried-and-true stuff and they don't always think outside the box. I liked the show enough to give it a chance. Love Michael Emerson! The whole Big Brother thing. I don't mind technologies like this. LOL
September 24, 201114 yr Member I liked it...it's a bit darker than CBS usually goes, but it's a concept CBS likes to pull out of the closet every ten years or so.
October 14, 201114 yr Member I really liked last night's episode. Love the ending, how you don't know if killed the rapist or not.

May 18, 201214 yr Member DAMN that was a good season finale. Can't wait for next season. Interested to hear your thought Toups. It was amazing. The captain associated with HR is still out there and he knows Carter and Fusco are with Reese. It is so on! I think the chick who has Finch is his old boss' daughter. Cannot wait for S2!!!!!!!! Between this and Scandal, I could hardly sleep. ANDREA
