3 years for his second tenure and for a grand total of 7 Years, 11 Months (1992-1997, 2003-2006) as Head Writer for DAYS, the most amount for any DAYS HW in its history.........Today, August 8th, 2006, it's the end of an era.

There's popcorn, chips, snacks, drinks, champagne over there on the table.........I'll let you guys celebrate.

It was a great episode. Some great scenes with Belle & Mimi.

I for one will have beer in hand, ready to toast the end of an era at Days. (Some would say and not a moment too soon, and yes... I am one of them.) However, I do recognize that JER had a following, and his presence will be missed by some of the Days contingent.

Martha Madison rocked, FF sucked and Belle needs to clock the Meemster ASAP. What a effing !@#$%^&*] Mimi is. She's back to where she was a year ago. Blaming Belle for Rex walking out on her.

Actually I enjoyed Mimi giving it to Belle today. She deserves everything Mimi dishes out to her. Of course, Belle will have her day and then the shoe will be on the other foot. Both are the pits of female examples. I hope the new writers send them all off for a very long time and give us the vets and the new teens who hopefully will develop into lovable and watchable characters.

I am a proud member of the JER alliance and I will be one of the few who misses Reilly.

JER's second tenure would have been much better if Ken Corday and NBC would have given him free reign.

Pest, I think we'll see the day before Farah leaves when Mimi finally gets what's coming to her for not telling Shawn Claire is really his, and Belle will let her have it with both barrels. Belle isn't a saint, but Mimi has kept a man from knowing about a baby for the second time now, and she needs to pay. I hope we see her drag queen makeup run too!

The only thing I will miss about JER is how he wrote for Lumi. The times he decided to write for Lumi, he really WROTE for them. It was great stuff.

For those of you who have already seen tomorrow's day ahead episode, can you tell me if Beth Milstein is listed as "Interim Headwriter" or simply "Headwriter?" Thanks.

According to the Early Edition for Wednesday, Reilly is still listed in the credits. It doesn't sound like Milstein is listed at all.

[s.W.S.N.B.N.] wrote this episode and I thought E.J. had some really great lines for a change. What was that about getting out of Sami's way?

Loved Sami's crack, something about her arms or something?

Belle and Mimi stuff was really great! First time I've ever seen "class conflict" introduced into their story. Very powerful.

If it's true that [s.W.S.N.B.N.] is now writing for "All My Children", then I look forward to some real fire coming back to that show.

It's too bad JER is leaving. His run was great, up until he decided to send Marlena, Roman, and the others to that castle, and pair John with Kate, the most spiteful !@#$%^&*] in Salem.
