I too finally watched 8/8 episode late last night but I had one bone to pick with the episode and it involved Steve and Bo. It really made my skin crawl regarding the "brothers" dialogue when it SHOULD be Matt Ashford's Jack helping Steve discover his past. I understand and appreciate the writers' history that was involved with the Steve/Bo scene but would have preferred this scene (and many others) to be Jack/Steve.

ICAM.

*sniff* *sniff*

DAMN YOU CORDAY!

Matt is leaving, and for some reason, Stephen and Matt have not ad any scenes together since it was announced that he was leaving Days. That's why they are pushing Steve and Bo together.

But IA. Even though he's leaving, Matt still should have had as many scenes as possible with Stephen before he left. It seems like that was a decision by someone higher up.

Either in his online chat or at the Patch & Kayla fan gathering a couple of weeks back (forget which), Stephen said that once TPTB decide a character is being written out they tend to isolate them even more and that he didn't expect to have many more scenes with Matt. He didn't sound happy about it, but he also said he wouldn't be surprised if they bring Matt back one day.

Stephen had a chat on SoapNet about a week or so ago and he said as far as he knew there would be no more Jack/Steve scenes. Apparently, since the decision was made to can Matt, Days decided there was no need to give them scenes together.

What a kick in the teeth! I don't know about anyone else but I loved those Jack/Steve scenes. They have such great chemistry together.

:(:(:(:(

Those were the scenes that brought me back to Days, too.

Man, I just do NOT understand what Matt could have possibly done to warrant such shitty treatment. I mean, seriously. He's treated worse than a female actress on GH.

Wow, !@#$%^&*] got told! I LOVED the Mimi/Belle scenes---Mimi really socked it to Belle, and in one fell swoop, Farah out-acted Martha Madison (not that that is a challenge).

I loved the sexy and intense Carrie and Austin scenes.

Loved Sami saying hi to Patch. Loved the Patch and Bo scenes. Pretty good episode. Thanks, [!@#$%^&*]!

LOVED them.

Don't get me started on Matthew Ashford's firing. It pisses me off for so many reasons, not the least of which is that Matt's chemistry with so many in the cast and Jack's complex history with so many of the characters would have been so good for this rebuilding period. Days should really be focusing on QUALITY right now and every day that passes with YET ANOTHER regurgitated, repetitious quad scene while their best actors and most interesting characters are given nothing to do just makes me less sure they care about quality at all.

I know...the quad groups need a major major timeout. Yes, their scenes have been good lately but honestly I don't care about what happens to any of them.

I REALLY wish the show would focus on Matt and Missy for their last month on the air and give us diehard J&J fans some memorable scenes of why we fell in love with Jack and Jenn so many years ago and (while I am wishing for things) to have a few memorable scenes with the following:

For Jack - Steve

For Jen - ALICE

Notice that I didn't say Hope for Jen because the writers always seems to turn their conversations into "Poor Hope" problems. Why the writers over the years give BOPE such high esteem and stories while Jack and Jen were left with the 3 dying stories is something that I WILL NEVER understand or for that matter ever forgive DAYS for. Jack and Jen were truly a unique couple and Matt and Missy could act circles around most of the cast - so why DAYS why did you ruin them?

Sorry for the rant - just alot of pent up anger and upsetment because Matt and Missy are beyond amazing & more importantly, PROFESSIONAL.
