August 8, 200619 yr Member Darn! Sounds like I missed a REALLY good episode. Too bad [!@#$%^&*] couldn't stay as a script-writer, sounds like she really did her homework and added backbones and layers to characters that have lacked it. Sigh. But she's gone and we can't change that, so ... I'll definitely be watching DAYS tonight on SoapNet, since I missed it today. My thing is this, Krypton. From today's script anybody could see that Boof's a Die-hard "DAYS" fan. So how the heck is she going to be any good to "All My Children"? I wouldn't hire her, because she may sabotage AMC to help out DAYS. Boof wrote the dialogue for today's episode therefore she was credited as the scriptwriter (scriptwriter's always show up at the end of the writing credits after "AND"). Scripts are written at least 2 months in advance of the airdate so she wrote it before she was fired. Am I right, Gabe? YEP. I think she has a few more scripts coming up though.
August 8, 200619 yr Member Hi - new to this site so please give me some breathing room here :-) Been a big fan of days over 20 years - 31 yo male here in cali.. never posted before but felt compelled now that JER is gone. I guess my biggest upsetment is Missy and Matt leaving because they will never see the great story they both so deserved and never got. I am all for the other actors having a chance to shine under Milstein and HS' pens but it is such an injustice to me that M&M got screwed over way too many times. With reference to today's show, which I haven't seen yet (still @ work), I 'm bummed that [!@#$%^&*] will not be writing more eppys because if what i have read about is any indication of today's show, then tomorrow's show won't be half as good :-( Sorry for the novel.
August 9, 200619 yr Member Like I say, it's all too confusing to me. I only know what I read and that being in question, how would I know? What I read is that [!@#$%^&*] should have had credit for one epi back in June, the 22nd or somewhere around there and she didn't show up in the credits so that is why she was supposed to be listed today. That's the whole truth of what I read. Whatever the real truth is beyond me. I loved yesterday and today and obviously they were written by the same person....imho.
August 9, 200619 yr Member My question is and I know that this has been answered by many on this board - so don't shoot me - why was [!@#$%^&*] let go if the following were true?: - [!@#$%^&*] is friends with HS - She was courted by Ken Corday (loser of all time) at the Daytime Emmys - She is an amazing novelist and has received nothing but accolades from critics - And too top it off, she is a HUGE DAYS fan. Maybe its me, but KC is off his rocker now (between this and Matt Ashford leaving), I wish someone could fire his sorry ass.

There was a scandal about Boof's relationship with Osama Bin Laden and it caused a whirlwind of publicity. N.Y. Post did a nasty story about Boof and viewers flooded NBC with negative fan mail. Rumor is that a lot of sponsors didn't want to support a show that has Bin Laden's mistress writing it. Boof claims that Corday and Sheffer are still good friends, but their hands were tied. She had to be let go. Some others say there was jealousy over the attention Boof was receiving from the publicity by other writers on the show. Who really knows for sure?
August 9, 200619 yr Member I still can't believe you all are obssessing about [s.W.S.N.B.N.]. It's getting out of hand. Enough!

I had heard some of this but wasn't sure, like yourself, what is fact vs. fiction. It seems like when it comes to NBC & Ken Corday we never really know the full story, just bits and pieces that everyone seems to hang on to, which in turn starts the vicious cycle of rumors, etc. I still can't believe you all are obssessing about [s.W.S.N.B.N.]. It's getting out of hand. Enough! Sorry! I am a new member to the site and because of the obvious accolades that she was receiving from the numerous boards today for helping to script today's episode (which I haven't even seen yet)..I was just asking a question. No worries, I will not bring her name up again.

August 9, 200619 yr Author Administrator I still can't believe you all are obssessing about Kola Boof. It's getting out of hand. Enough! Easy there, Bree. We're obviously going to talk about her again since now she's being credited for episodes she wrote.

Sufice it to say, she's gone, and Days has moved on. No need to kill you. Welcome aboard.
August 9, 200619 yr Member Easy there, Bree. We're obviously going to talk about her again since now she's being credited for episodes she wrote. Hi Toups, I promise to try and not say anything else about her. I honestly don't know what my fascination is. I know it seems to some like that's all I talk about. I've just been so amused every since I heard her name alone. She's just so different I guess. But I never have understood the hatred some people have for this woman we don't even know. I think it's a sign of greatness myself. Hi Toups, I promise to try and not say anything else about her. I honestly don't know what my fascination is. Meaning= a sign of greatness that people feel so PASSIONATE about this lady by just the mention of her name. It's like a new soap character who's really interesting.
