After trolling around on the NBC Daytime Web site, I spotted some old pictures of McKenzie Westmore.

Now, if Mac returns looking like this:

And ACTING just as spunky, she'll deserve her old job.

But this 50-year-old looking AND acting Sheridan just ain't cuttin' it.

I loved you Mac. Still love you, but you have GOT to shape up. Literally and figuratively.

And who is this "we" that wants Kam as the full-time Sheridan? I'm certainly not part of this group.

Rion, I agree, Mac would be ideal. But she's not cutting it. (See the added note to that first post). If Mac can return to the aristocratic but spunky Sheridan she first played (see above pic link), then I'd like it. But, if you hadn't noticed, "Passions" boards are positively BUZZING in favor of Kam, given the choice. She's actually ACTING. Maybe you didn't notice but Mac's last few months, maybe since the Passions Disaster even, have been VERY uneventful.

Of course I realize that Mac's been bad for a while now, so I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt when she returns. If she can't "bring it", then I'd say it's time to move on with a new Sheridan.

But Mac has that Princess Diana look that makes her perfect for the role of Sheridan, which is why I can't see Kam or anyone else in the part long-term.

As many posters have pointed out, Kam looks very much like Fancy's aunt. Hell, they almost look like sisters. So, casting did great there. Also, I agree that Mac has the Princess look, or DID, as evidenced by the NBC picture link I posted. But that's gone. Lately, she's looked like a frumpy, fugly, 50-year-old woman. Don't get me wrong, she's still beautiful.But she's no longer the spunky sheridan we loved in '99 and'00. She looks much older than she should, as others have noted, and, if that weren't bad enough, she plays the role older than she should.

I agree; Mac should have a chance to prove herself. But if she can't get it together, Kam should take over. Give Mac two months tops. Then, clean house.

Or how about Shannon Sturges?

Kam is definitely a very attractive, sexy, unique looking girl, that is for damn sure. No one can take that away from her. She has really sexy lips. She was made to be on an NBC soap = mediocre acting + sexiness.

But Toups, we'd all like to be nostalgic but what about Mac's gross underacting as of late? How can we forgive that? I say give her two months when she comes back but after that, if she doesn't shape up, she's history.

And again, I love Mac, too. But we ALL remember when there was an intruder in the Crane mansion and Mac, without any emotion whatsover said, "Help. There's an intruder in the Crane mansion." with no fear or passion at ALL in her voice. It was sad.

So you have Mac, who's gotten rich off of doing nothing for a large part of her "Passions" career, and you have Kam, who may need the money and is pulling her weight for Sheridan more than Mac has recently done. That's why I brought this controversial topic up.

At least we can all agree that Kam is a better temp Sher than Shannon Sturges. I remember SS on Port Charles, and she wasn't *that* bad. Passions brought out the worst in her!

Hey, if Kam really gets a fan following, maybe PSNS will reward her with the role of Fancy's sister somewhere down the line. Guiding Light hired Joie Lenz to play Young Clone Reva, but she was so popular that they brought her back a few months later as Michelle, IIRC. I always imagined the other Crane daughter being around Paloma and Jessica's age, but I suppose Kam could play a bit younger than Emily Harper.

And I think Mac might be better when she returns simply because I think her story will be in a different place. Luis will be with Fancy, and who knows what's happening with Chris..hopefully he's being written out. I'd definitely love to see Mac return as a strong, independent, SINGLE Sheridan, and maybe take an interest in Crane and get a job there..maybe do some charity work. Maybe even raise James on her own (unless he's returned to Maureen's family). Then, just as she's starting to take an interest in...oh, say...Noah, Luis captures Beth and brings Marty back, forcing Shuis to decide whether or not to reunite.

Well, I don't care how they do it, I just want Kam to get SOME role on "Passions." Preferably as a Crane. As far as I'm concerned she's earned it. And that's coming from someone who thought she was largely "meh" on "Sunset Beach." She really is going a nice job.

Although I love this Fox, I had hoped they'd get Mark Stabile to play him a ) because he had already played him b ) homeboy can act c ) homeboy is fine to look at. I am hoping they will keep Kam in mind if Mac ever leaves.
