PSNS: Friday

For me, Siren is like the EJ of PSNS. Sometimes enjoyable, but more times than not, they annoy me. And I just think they're both really unnecessary, and the stories could be very good without them. I really don't think Brandi is a strong actress at all. In fact, I think she's really bad, but apparently I'm the only person who thinks that so just ignore that statement. Sometimes, she makes me laugh, but that's why I used the word "consistent." Mills never disappoints, but Tabitha kinda does for me sometimes. I never thought I'd say that before this mermaid story, but it is what it is, I guess.

Today's scenes went a ways toward getting me to buy it but I still really don't. You don't go from loving a woman and obsessing over her for like 5-6 years to wanting a woman you pretty much ignored who wanted you. That is why I still can't get into this triangle. The smart move would've been bringing Miguel back and pushing him and Kay together through various situations rather then him having some epiphany all of a sudden and going after Kay. It makes no sense and he was being a total ass to Fox during the amnesia thing. Miguel's character has been destroyed big time IMO. Today's scenes helped me understand a bit but I am still far away from buying him going after Kay.

The Shamu line from Siren was hilarious though  .

I simply don't believe Miguel. Of course I blame JER, and his myopic non-writing in trying to shove, ram, cram Charity and Miguel down the throats for FIVE PLUS YEARS, instead of writing it as a real triangle.

IFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

We had seen SINCERE, and I do mean SINCERE feelings for Miguel BEFORE he left...that he had truly been confused about Kay and Charity...it could have been as simple as us believing that he did love Charity, but somewhere, somehow, Kay had really gotten into his system...

Then maybe I could buy this bull they're trying to shovel.

As is...no way...

The NANOSECOND Charity crosses into Harmony once again, it's gonna be ' Kay Who?'

I definitely liked Jaresa's conversation. It's good to see Theresa being written realistically, in that she knows that she has to get over Ethan but it's hard to do it. I mean, after all, she's been after him for seven years. Those feelings aren't going to go away so quickly. However, Theresa does have a genuine liking to Jared, so I'm interested in where JER will go with their relationship. And of course it's going to be fun to watch Ethan see red.

I did read about what Pilar says to Theresa on Tuesday, and I swear she doesn't want her child to be happy...

Anything that makes Kay come out like the big loser is A-Okay in my book! I love Siren! She's the only reason why I tolerate that stupid storyline.

Eric Martsolf and Liza Huber are on this weekend's Best Week Ever, FYI. It's the show's 100th Anniversary and they are on doing a little skit saying happy anniversary.

I saw that. I just started cracking up. Nothing compares to Justin taking his shirt off though.

That's probably true, but don't you see? He believes he will NEVER see Charity again. We, the viewers, suspect JER may bring her back, but for Miguel, she ain't NEVA coming back.

That's why I buy that he's moving on. Once again, a man has needs and he's clearly deluding himself to want Kay just so he can fulfill those needs, and after Pilar propped up Kayguel, he decided to push forward with it.

Again, I don't see what's so hard to get here.

It seems like this was the year that the Lopez-Fitzgerald kids - who had the 3 main romances at the start of the show - have moved on to other people this year.

I'm just happy about that.

Isn't that cool, nass? I never thought of it that way but that makes the show even more exciting!!! EXCELLENT point!

The only thing is, Luis, Theresa, and Miguel all belong with their original partners: Sheridan, Ethan, and Charity.

Not anymore they don't. ;)

I think JER has wisened up to the fact that he played out Ethan and Theresa--for a good two years, anyway. (Meaning, they can revisit that after Jaresa, the fresh, hot, sexy new coupling, also gets boring). As for Shuis, there have been too many fake deaths, so he realizes Luis needs a new beginning with Fancy. Migs and Kay are the wildcard, but I never liked Foxay to begin with.

JER has put Therethan and Shuis into limbo because he never firmly resolves anything. If ET were over, then little Ethan's paternity and the tabloid would be out. But they're not. And Ethan's jealous over Theresa, so obviously JER's building to their reunion, but from a different angle.

The Lancy coupling is just a sideshow to keep things interesting until McKenzie and Kelli return.

As for Miguel and Kay, they're such a non-couple it's not even funny. I'm rooting for Charguel and Foxay (sorry, Siren--maybe you can have Jared?).
