Favourite Passions Storylines

Hey guys, what are your favourite Passions storylines from the past 7 years? Here's my short-list, with more to come:

Sheridan Buried Alive

First of all, this story started out with a shock. Hank Bennett murdered Sheridan in cold blood! Of course, savvy soap viewers know the main heroine would never be killed off so soon into the show's run, so the question was, how is she coming back? That question was answered when her coffin was buried 6 feet under and her eyes popped open! This was one of my faves because it's just so damn creepy to be buried alive! I loved how gothic it was when they intercut Sheridan screaming for help and banging on the coffin with clips of the Harmonites and Bennetts celebrating Christmas and decorating the tree with "The First Noel" playing over these shots. And I think everyone loved when Tabitha and Timmy dug up the coffin, and Timmy woke up "Sleeping Beauty" with a kiss. And how twisted was it when Julian had cement poured over the coffin to prevent grave robbing, thus sealing Sheridan's fate? I'm not the biggest Sheridan fan, but I loved this story, and if Sci-Fi had continued airing Passions, I would have made sure I taped this story (It only lasted 3-4 weeks), as I didn't keep the tapes from back then.

Theresa and Ethan's Epic Romance

Theresa and both Ethans have had sizzling chemistry. The notion of Cinderella getting her Prince Charming is so relatable, and that's why I think so many people love Theresa. Theresa's a go-getter. There has been so many good moments: spilling things on Ethan, working as Ivy's personal assistant in disguise, going to the ballet, snowed in at the Crane cabin, THE PROM BOAT, the motorcycle crash, THE CHRISTMAS MIRACLE (where Theresa triumphed over that dog Gwen), the engagement party and paternity reveal, sex on the beach, the wedding, "marrying" Julian, Hot LA Passions, getting pregnant with Sarah, Rome...so much good stuff! I hope my favourite finally reunites soon. They haven't been a couple in 4 and a half years!!

Hell in a Closet

When I heard Passions was going to be a supernatural soap, I was hoping it would be a lot like Marlena's possession on Days. And with this story, Passions reached its supernatural potential! I loved when Theresa and Ethan were about to make love, but were interrupted by flying demons from hell! And who can forget when real demons escaped from hell, and the men of Harmony attempted to stop them with SWAT gear? This story rocked because it exposed the entire cast to the supernatural element, not just Tabitha, Timmy, Charity, Miguel, and Kay. I thought the special effects were pretty good for a soap, and I loved that the house was actually sucked into the bowels of hell, with pretty much all of the cast gathered to watch it. AND this story is still referred to, and we just recently saw flashbacks to it. I loved it!

Zombie Charity

Whether playing Evil Charity (with the red eyes and demonic voice, and controlled by the pendant), or Zombie Charity (essentially Charity in disguise with the occasional yellow eyes), Molly Stanton always shone as the Bad Girl. This story featured so many good moments, particularly the seduction of Miguel in the graveyard, possibly Passions' sexiest steam. There they were, Miguel and "Charity" in the cemetery, with the pounding beat of the drums setting the mood, and the hot, steamy rain...wow!! And the story climaxed with the tragic Timmy/Zombie battle, leaving Timmy dead, but also settng up Passions' most raw and powerfully emotional moment, when Charity received poor little Timmy's heart, and Tabitha listened to her precious Tim-Tim's heart beating inside the body of her worst enemy. So sad! What a great story...!

I enjoyed pretty much everything in the first two years.

The Prom Boat: It was the absolute perfect cap to a really great year. All the storylines seemed to climaxing at this point, and it was when the special effects and the sets really worked with the show. Julian seeing Timmy and drinking a martimmy. Grace locked in a room as it flooded. Charity splattered with fish guts. Good times.

Sheridan Buried Alive: If we go by ratings, this was the most successful storyline on the show to date. I still have episodes were Sheridan was buried alive on tape, I just wish I had kept the episodes when Sheridan was shot.

Tabitha/Grace/evil: Sooooo much potential with this story. It is the best they had, and it can still be played.

I hated the buried alive crap. The first part with Hank "killing" Sheridan was good. But the actual buried alive was such a rip of when Carly was buried alive on DAYS.

My favorite storyline had to be begining of the Theresa/Ethan/Gwen triangle.

Everything in that first year was excellent. The buried alive story was a ripoff but I think what helped is it played over the holidays when people were home and some may not have known it was done before. I still liked the story and I loved the Shuis reunion. The moment when Hank shot Sheirdan I was like WTF?!! Passions is awesome at keeping secrets with stories-usually no one knows anything ahead or until the night before.

I loved the Prom Boat, Day of Reckoning, and Ethan/sami/Ivy/Julian. Julian and Timmy's adventures were great as was the Tabitha/Grace story. The Bermuda story was great with Theresa/Julian. Who shot Julian was great too. I also more recently like Norma/Edna and anything Norma really. The Sheridan in the pit story and anything with Beth has been great too. Hot LA Passions was awesome and I would saY G/E/T was good until 2004 for me. Evian's love story I adore and I also liked the Tsunami last year despite the earthquake sucking.

Passions had so much that was good from 1999-2002 and then from mid 2004-mid 2005.

The pit story dragged on a little too long, but had some great moments, like a bound, gagged, and blindfolded Sheridan running around the Wallace house, and of course all the Beth/Charlie moments, and Edna/Precious.

Tabitha and Timmy Doing Anything

Tabitha and Endora Doing Anything (by themselves)

Tabitha/Dark Side vs. The Standish Women/Good (GRACE COME HOME!)

The Prom Boat

Edna, Precious, and Beth Doing Anything

Really, I can't name any more favorites becuase I find fault with almost all of them <_<

I do applaud Hell in a Closet for the sheer fact that nothing like that over-the-top, special effects ridden, entire cast involved three weeks has ever been done or will be done on Daytime television unless by Passions again

-I missed the shooting/buried alive scenes. School got in the way... <_<

Moving on:

-The Prom Boat: Total and utter brilliance! The story brought together different storylines that were going on at the time. Loved Ivy telling Sam he was Ethan's father (memory is faulty) and Timmy and Tabby running around the boat.

I think there was a promo with Miguel in a white tuxedo jacket swaying on the boat...

-The Pit: It dragggggggggggggged out forever but I loved it! I still hadn't seen through the forty fake-outs, so I got excited everytime Luis was thisclose to finding Sheridan.

Loved Charlie/Beth/Edna/Precious.

-Holiday Seasons: The show did it so well in the first years. Timmy and Tabby had some great moments in the Christmas time.

-Rebecca getting her hands on Theresa's diary and sending it off to the tabloid!

Bwahahaha!

-Ivy crashing the car into the ThEthan wedding.

-I'm ashamed to admit it....Zombie Charity!

-Kay selling her sould and throwing Charity's essence on her so he would sleep with her. Kay was so DELICIOUSLY evil back then! I hate PodKay.

-Puff Dogg and La Toya!
