OLTL-what is going on?

Used to be that people would discuss OL, now there aren't even hardly any threads on it. Is the show so bad now that no one wants to talk about it or aren't watching so have run away from the wonderful Higley view of Llanview?

I for one am not so happy, what about other OL viewers? Disgusted or on the fence or happy or??

Disgusted.

More to the point the show is flat, uninspired and there is nothing at all that makes me want to watch the next episode.

I loved yesterday's (Thursday) show

Michael and Marcie had me tearing up , smiling and giggling throughout the entire show. Can someone tell me again why we don't see them more often? They had some pretty deep conversation today, Michael was loving and comforting and Marcie just adores him. Loved hearing him tell her why he married her and when he was talking about walking out of the door and being shot down buying a chrismas gift you could see the hurt in Marcie's eyes for Michael, knowing he was talking about his dad.

The last scene was beautiful I could get used to seeing them do more drama.

Todd and Dorian and then Todd and Blair.....GREAT!

overall a good show today. a few scenes I could have done without ( I just can't get into this Vincent guy , but that is just me)

You wanna know what word to describe One Life to Live right now? I'll give it to you....are you ready? "Clusterfuck".

The good on the show doesn't even come close to outweighing the bad. That is how bad OLTL is right now. The few bright spots are dimmed with shitty writing and bad acting.

That's the perfect description of this show.

The only thing that saved the show was Todd and Vangie for me.

Todd and Dorian, Todd and Blair/Spencer. I loved when he walked in and said "Kinky" and then he said "you want to make a comment" and then he took a picture of Spencer leaving. I loved it and TSJ was on fire.

Vangie and all her ill will towards Vincent interesting when she defends Todd. That will be interesting.

I ff threw majority of the show except those scenes.

I'm disgusted. Just about a month ago, I was saying just the opposite. I was bragging at how much I loved OLTL and how I loved Margaret and how I loved DH. Now, I HATE OLTL!!!! Just to be specific:

- I hate how pointless and unneeded Claudia is

- I hate how boring Jess and Antonio are clogging up airtime

- I hate how we're lucky if we see RJ, Lindsay, Nora, and Vikki once a month

- I hate how Margaret's role in 2006 was to prop Spencer until DH decided to throw her in the toilet.

- I hate how we can't go one day without seeing John, Natalie, and/or Spencer

...I'm sure I'll think of more.

I'm enjoying the show (minus John and Natalie, Rex and Adriana, which is fifty percent).

That's just it, though ... I'm ENJOYING the show as light entertainment and appreciating the efforts of this great cast; however, I'm NOT seeing the deep, high-quality soap that OL has been very often in the past. It's kind of ... frothy, for lack of a better term.

Dena is a writer who can amuse me, but she doesn't write to the show's strenghts. Frons and Valentini are to blame as well. Look at the R.J., Lindsay, Nora stuff: excellent for the few minutes it's on. Ditto Viki/Clint/Dorian. Blair's revenge on Spencer has the potential to be a deep character-study of what makes Blair tick, but it's sabotaged.

Basically, there are moments that impress me, and I certainly don't think it's as bad as some of you say. Until ABC remembers why people watch soaps, though, I will not be able to get that enthused. The bottom line is that they don't have a clue, and they will obstinately and stubbornly refuse to showcase what viewers want to see in favor of what they THINK we want to see based on some foolish study of demos.

I've seen moments on OL this year that rival the best work of any of the other 8 shows (Kelly and Kevin at Duke's funeral; Viki and Clint watching the disgusting tape; Blair, Todd, and Van at Todd's execution). I think many actors deserve Emmy noms and wins next year. But ultimately, MOMENTS do not make a soap, and until OL and ABC get back to the long-term plotting and respect for the vets, I won't be able to be as passionate as I used to love to be.

I thought yesterday's show wasn't bad at all. I liked the Blair/Spencer scenes. Spencer was cryin like baby! Asking Blair why she would do that to him. It was good IMO.

Call me heartless, but I could care less about Marcie and her crying over losing a baby that she knew wasn't hers to begin with. She set herself up for that one.

I cannot stand the show right now. John and Natalie are the worst couple ever on this show. They dont have any chemistry and they are always on. Rex and Adrianna are boring and Chris and Evangeline are boring too. The whole show is boring. <_< I only watch it now and then to check if anything has changed. It hasn't.

the one good thing, Nash and Tess, unfortunetly arent onscreen so there's not much to look forward too. I do like Cris and Eva when they are on, but overall, the stories just arent doing much for me

I think the show has fallen into a slump. My opinion on Dena Higley has dropped for the following reasons:

Tess and Nash have lost their freshness. Tess is Jess again and Nash is running around with newbie Claudia for no apparent reason.

The adrenaline pumping Blair/Todd story immediately stopped dead in its tracks when Margaret died.

The electric chemistry between Rex and Adrianna is being stifled because of a "stalker."

Give Viki and Nora storylines!

I think the show can pull itself together, but Higley needs to stop and realize what made 2005 work so well.

Todd is so funny. He could care less about Blair being injured by Spencer.

Spencer keep your shirt on. YUK!!

OLTL is so dreary that even on it's best day it is one of the worst episodes produced. Lazy, un-inspiring, and un-eventful doesn't even begin to describe the mess that is being shoveled on screen. There are no character motivations and no couples to root for... only slap on shtick skits that thinly passes for drama, suspense or romance (take your pick).

What is Blair's motivation for staying with Spencer? Don't tell me she wants to bring him down because she is nonchalantly sleeping with the man who destroyed her family's life.

Where the hell is Todd? This man is NOT Todd. When was the last time have we seen him be proactive in anything?

John's storyline is so ludicrous that all suspension of belief is needed.

Viki? Who's that?

Dorian is a caricature.

David is a joke.

The Buchanans are non existent.

Kevin? Kelly? Where are they?

The couples on the show are so pitiful it's a disgrace...

John and Natalie dominate nintey percent of the screentime and they are the most chemistry-less couple I have ever seen on Daytime.

Chris and Evangeline are cute but they are hardly on.

Rex and Adriana are numb inducing.

Nash and Tess are dragged out to the point of unbelievablity.

Antonio and Jessica are ridiculously bland.

Non couples like Hugh and Kelly are a complete filler.

The show is over run by newbies that no one cares for (with repetitive dialog that is insanely cartoonish)... (Vince, Paige, Claudia, Bruce)

I won't even on touch on the character destructions...

This show needs help and it needs major help.
