I watched this episode again.

God, this episode was pathetic. This was the worst episode in MONTHS.

If this is the direction DAYS is headed in, I don't like it at all.

So - Lucas/Carrie/Austin/Sami/EJ/Stephanie/Max/Chelsea. A love Octagon? Is that what we're going to be subjected to?

Also, Frank Parker needs to be fired immediately. Or move to Harmony/Passions. He is HORRENDOUS. I can't even sit through his scenes anymore. Hey, Frank, not every scene is funny. So, stop laughing!

The dialogue, especially, during the wedding was in a word - embarassing. So disappointed in Austin. WHAT a !@#$%^&*].

And the Steve/Kayla/Stephanie scenes WERE good, but the directing was terrible. No closeups on anyone except Steve. Steve and Stephanie were quartered out so we couldn't even see their faces. It was a mess.

I agree KR but let's remember most of these directions and stories will be changed once Milstein and Sheffer begin. Right now it is merely [!@#$%^&*] tweaking what is already done. I wish Days would have tossed this stuff out-I knew all this was coming but I guess it was too late to rewrite everything since we don't get Beth until August. I heard rumors that JER had some crappy stuff planned I guess this was it because this is definitely his stuff IMO.

It was not the worst in months-May and April were worse-but this episode left me with a WTF? feeling. I just am so happy that Milstein will be here soon along with Sheffer. Clearly, all of this was JER's stuff and I don't think much tweaking was done on today's show other then maybe MBE and SN ad-libbing on the Stephanie stuff at the end and maybe someone like [!@#$%^&*] throwing in the incest in Salem line.

The show was poorly put together and had no flow to it-very careless and lazy. Tomarrow sounds a bit better and so does the rest of the week. It is ok to have bad days once in a while but today is a doozy. I am just glad we are getting a whole new writing team because these people need to go. For some reason, the last two Monday's on Days have been crap and poorly written and put together. The rest of the week always turns out better for some reason.

Oh well-at least we know changes are coming .

A lot of episodes in April and May sucked and were boring as hell and filled with flashbacks. But none really made me cringe and roll my eyes and shake my heard the way today's did.

Aw-ful.

That preview with Kayla saying Stefano has my positively livid. Not the mama, not the mama, not the mama! Idiots.

After watching tomorrow's day-ahead scenes (well S&K's anyway) it actually makes sense for Kayla to bring up Stefano. In the context of what happened to Steve, there's a strong superficial resemblence to what happened to Marlena and Hope at the hands of Stefano (retconned from Orpheus and Toscano, of course). That is, the deaths of all 3 were faked and all 3 had their memories wiped. I'm very hopeful, though, that Kayla immediately thinking Stefano did it is just a red herring.

Just call me a hopeless optimist.

Oh and Steve being hot? That's not shallow, that's fact, baby.

This is completely unrelated to Monday's episode, but I just found videos on YouTube of Kate burning down the Kiriakis Mansion! Lauren Koslow is BRILLIANT. Whacking Victor over the head, starting the fire then learning that Lucas is burning up inside. She's awesome!

OMG Kenny. I still have those in tape. Lauren was brilliant. Lucas's goodbye and I remember really digging Nicole and Victor at this time. Days in 2001 was so good until teen overload in the summer. Victor was used alot at that time too, as was Kate.

Today was awful but I still think half of May came pretty close. Oh well-help is on the way soon .

I find it weird that people say they don't like much beyond the Steve and Kayla story. And they blame the writing. It's funny that the same writers are writing it and all of it too.

It just goes to show that the actors involved or the characters involved go a long way in what people like.

I love both Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans (loved him on GH and loved her on both GH & ATWT) but I never have liked them as Patch & Kayla. I just never got them together. It is a personal thing I know, but they just are not my faves. I have very much enjoyed some of their stories in the past, and when this one kicks in I will most likely enjoy it. But when the story is just about them I don't like it.

I enjoy the Bo & Hope story the most on the show. It is my favorite story running right now.

I felt today's show was the worst show in a long time. There were a few elements I liked but overall I did not enjoy the show much at all.

And as to Shayna, I am just not impressed much so far. And she just does not look like she could be the daughter of Patch & Kayla. I love the red hair but not as Kayla's daughter.

Because the rest of the stories just are not up to snuff. Period. Even though the dialouge for Steve and Kayla is starting to get repetitive, I'm still enjoying their scenes and J/J/F.

Chelsea does absolutly nothing for me, and I really wish her, Kate, Tek, Patrick, Shawn, Mimi, and Philip would just go somewhere and never return.

It was not a good show, by far. The last four epsiodes have been dreck for the most part.

Well, Matt Ashford is known for adlibbing, and we have the interview with MBE where she says that Stephen has been taking her script and changing dialogue he doesn't like. I'm assuming it's fairly minor changes though. Although we do know they've been allowed to adlib quite a bit in the past and even adlibbed an entire scene once (the pregnancy fantasy), I'm just not sure how much freedom they'd realistically be given to change the big stuff.

There's also the rumor that Reilly had intially written a triangle for Steve and Kayla and that it was all scrapped by the remaining writers when he left. If that's the case (big if) then might it be possible their scenes weren't written by the same person as the others? It might account for the brevity of their scenes (especially since the begining of July) if a lot of them had to be rewritten on the fly.

I am just glad we are getting a whole new writing team because these people need to go.

Am I understanding this to mean that Sheffer is bringing in a whole new team of breakdown and script writers with him?? That the current batch is leaving? If so, HOT DAMN!

Yeah, GBB, four or five of the nine script-writers left out of loyalty to JER or were fired. I can't tell you who though. I am sure many SON-ers can.

Ok, so in the past ten years, I think we could all agree this was probably one of the worst Wimbledon weeks. This is a year we really needed something BIG too.

Bo learning of Melaswen was not the Wimbeldon cliffhanger in 2004-it was the Olympic one. J&J reunion was.

This was not the worst. Last year was the worse and so was 2003. 2003 was John/Tony/bomb and there was no big event there. Same with last year with Broe. No big event.

At least this year we had a wedding and Days did leave you with a cliffhanger Wednesday. Today disappointed but today was not the cliffhanger-just the resolution so the resolution sucked but not the cliffhanger.

I will give Days a break because things are changing and transitioning. If we still get this same stuff in August, then I will be worried.
