July 11, 200619 yr Member I think Terri Colombino has proven that she can do good work when it's required of her, like during her heartbreaking scenes after she killed Nick. But 99% of what Katie does is unnecessary...it's just filler for the better storylines IMO. Even the teen storylines are better than the stuff that Katie does. I'm surprised that Terri has stayed on the show this long. Overall, I do like Katie, but her storylines are pathetic. When's the last time, aside from Katie and Mike's recent breakup, that she had a good storyline? It must have been years. I don't know what's worse: not getting a lot of storylines but having scenes that are really good, or always getting airtime but having utter crap. Katie has been married 4 times already, but she has yet to have a child...or to even consider having children. She also doesn't even have a consistent job...it changes w/ every storyline. Her brother went to prison for switching babies, yet she didn't even acknowledge that! During her original and awesome Skatie story before PL left, she and Simon were trying for a baby. But since then nothing. I actually figured they'd right in her real life baby last time with Simon's return and have her find out she's pregnant after he left. She was great at her start and with Simon, but lately it's been awful.
July 11, 200619 yr Member Dusty sucks ass. I can't stand him. I also hated him and Jen as a couple. Their scenes and bonding with the kid were just so contrived. I found them too cheesy and ugh ... I just wasn't a fan of that couple. Grayson needs to stop acting like Maurice Benard-lite.

July 11, 200619 yr Member I agree. I just wasn't convinced with Dusty that this was the "love of his life". They had been together since December! And even then, he had just dumped Meg. The writers tried to make Dusty and Jen out to be this supercouple, and I just didn't buy it...like I don't buy his "good guy" attitude. Sure, Dusty was there when Jen gave birth and he helped getting her baby back, but he did some bad stuff too. The problem I have with Paul and Dusty is that they get a new love of their life every few months. How many times in a short span can you act like you've never loved anyone before? I don't buy it. I thought the Jennifer death scenes were excellent and everyone, except RH, had me in tears. But I have no faith in the writers not to have Dusty sleeping with someone new in a month.
July 11, 200619 yr Member I loved the episode. I love how Barbara is accepting of Gwen now. It makes me like Gwen alot more now that she's not a constant victim of everyone. Dusty though still annoyed me. I really can't stand Grayson's acting. Carly & Jack scenes were great. I liked how Carly defended Jade. Being that I'm a Jade fan Simon & Katie were meh. I didn't watch when they were a huge couple and so far I don't see the fuss about them.

I never, ever bought Dusty and Jen as each other's "endgame," and since this story has been so strongly centered on them being the Most Perfect Couple and Truest Love That Ever Loved, it's been really hard for me to swallow.
July 11, 200619 yr Author Member The reason why I find Dusty's relationships partly un-interesting from time to time is that the writers basically had him telling Jennifer that she's the only one that made him love, or whatever line he said to her. He said the same exact stuff when Lucy was in a relationship with him. Don't get me wrong, Jen's death was very emotional, however, I don't see Dusty dwelling on her for too long, especially if they are going to have Damian possibly trying to "woo" Lucy. The minute that happens, it will basically be "Jennifer who?" for Dusty. As for Paul, while I do like him and Meg, I too don't see him with her for a long time. The minute they decide to bring back Rosanna, Paul, just as Dusty, will be saying how she was the only woman he could ever love.
July 11, 200619 yr Member 3 months from now, Dusty's going to be shagging another woman. As for Paul, he and Meg had a lot of potential, but sticking them in PEM hell ruined them for me. They're even more annoying than Paul/Emily. Honestly, I've never liked GM's acting. The only time I liked Dusty was when he was w/ Meg, but again, that was a relationship ruined so that the writers could pimp out Dusty and Jen, who were the most boring, self-righteous couple I've ever seen. I am really upset that Jen died and I think that everything surrounding her death was amazingly done, but if I had the option of doing it all over again, I wouldn't want Dusty w/ her.
July 11, 200619 yr Member I actually loved that Emily showed up (hey, she got permission lol), but I admit I love her and Paul's twisted relationship, so I loved her walking in during his speech and the intensity of that. Jen Landon has a beautiful voice and Will's speech was terrific!
