ATWT Dusty Reaches His Breaking Point

Featured Replies

Today will be an emotional day, as we watch Dusty's reaction to the passing of Jennifer Munson Donovan....Will his sadness turn to rage at all those around him or does he have selected people to go after?

We will possibly get to see Carly and Jack today, as well as Simon :wub: .

Unfortunately for all of us, we will also be seeing the final episodes featuring Benjamin Hendrickson :(:(

See you all for ATWT :)

I just got back from the mall, so I missed the first 40 minutes. I'll watch my tape when the show is over though. It looks like it's really good though. Wow, I can't believe that they're already preparing for Jen's memorial. :(

Poor Jennifer Ferrin has to play "dead" today...I always thought that it would be really difficult, as an actor, to play someone dead or in a coma.

It's times like these that I'm glad that I have two CBS affiliates b/c one of them just blacked out. Why is it such an ordeal to watch ATWT? I feel like this show always gets pre-empted or gets interrupted.

I saw absolutely no reason for Jade to have even stepped foot into the church where Jen's memorial service was to be..The only reason why she was there is to lurk at what Gwen and Will are doing.

I also don't think that Jade will be at Carly's house for too long; Jade always winds up messing up and getting her butt kicked out.

Boy, has Jade got some nerve! I can't believe she picks today of all days to whine to Gwen about Carly possibly kicking her out......like Gwen doesn't have anything else to think of on the day of Jen's memorial!

Jade is so selfish....I'll be glad when all of Oakdale finds out about her rendevous with Will. Can't wait for Jade to experience the wrath of Gwen, Carly and Babs!

How many enemies has Jade racked up since she came on the show?

Lily

Holden

Luke

Lucinda

Barbara

Maddie

and soon Carly and Gwen will probably be joining that list.

Not to mention the people who hate her just b/c of what she did to the Snyders.

I still don't understand why she was there...it was nice not seeing her face last week. Poor Parker...that kid better watch out. Jade is vicious! She's going to be using that kid to con Carly out of money soon enough probably.

The stuff around Jen's death was really nice. I actually liked Paul today. Dusty was acting like an idiot. I understand what it's like to grieve over a loved one, but it was really disturbing that he was there just staring at Jen's body for, I don't know, the whole night I assume! I like how Barbara wondered how just b/c she and Hal were ready for them to take Jen's body, did that mean that they loved her any less. And then when Paul told Dusty that he was acting as if he was trying to prove that he loved Jen more than the rest of her family.

Okay, I hate Emily...ugh, why is that !@#$%^&*] ruining Jen's memorial? Didn't she learn her lesson when she crashed Paul's earlier this year?

Normally I like Jade and Emily, but those two are just going overboard this week for me.

Sitting and watching a dead body all night? Even in soap fairy tale land that's pretty ridiculous. She should have been moved to the morgue, if a night had past.

I think they're moving this story a little too fast. Jen died Friday and Monday everyone is dressed for the memorial.

I'm so sick of Jack, even though he is right about Jade, and I do understand why Carly would give Jade a chance, I don't like the way he's acting these days.

The matie stuff was annoying and felt really out of place. I can't believe with all the exploring they did that Katie didn't stumble onto the resort herself.

Something was missing from the Dusty and Paul scenes. I was disappointed by RH's performance, it seems he can't do crying very well at all but does well when its rage. I am so fed up with Dusty.

I liked !@#$%^&*]Carly. Its about time Carly quit being Jack's doormat. Milltown must be huge to have seven people living in it.

I just tend to ignore Jade.

I'm surprised that they're already having a memorial too, but then again, Jen's death started two weeks ago when she got sick. I think that any more time would have been too long.

I just ignored the island stuff. I like Simon, but this storyline is pointless. Mike needs to get his ass back to Oakdale to find out that his ex-wife has died!! I hope Nancy is taking care of Snickers and that's why we haven't seen her; otherwise, that bunny is dead.

Geez, is Carly running a boarding house? I didn't think that the house was that big for 7 people to be living there. It must be like the Snyder house w/ a never-ending amount of bedrooms for people to live in.

I still can picture when Emily removed that wrap she had on to reveal that low cut dress she was wearing  I wonder which person will jump from the pew to attack her for stepping foot in the church.

Ever notice that it never matters if a large group of people are in a church, there's always some sort of arguing going on?

Unlike Lily, Carly has a bit more sense when it comes to a snow job; at least I hope that is true. All it's going to take is for a blow up between Gwen and Jade, and Carly will wipe the floor with that girl. Jade's messing with the wrong Snyder.

Carly rocked today. I loved her telling Jack where to shove it. It's time he realizes this is what he wanted and he can't have it both ways.

Barbara and Gwen were so wonderful together. I love that Barbara is seeing Gwen for the wonderful

person she is. I am really enjoying the family pulling together for Jennifer aspect of the story they have here, although some hate each other. They're all uniting for Jennifer and in grief over her death.

Is anyone else wishing Katie just died at sea? I was so excited to see the Skatie chemistry and fun times writing they had together, but Katie's just awful. Simon's the same, but they're writing Katie as an old uptight woman. All she does is whine over Mike and attack Simon. Simon needs to be freed from her nagging self if this

is how they're going to write her. She's bringing him down, just put her with Mike and let them be nags together.

Also what was the point of the island story when they barely had any screen time or accomplished anything before Mike saves them?

I really miss him. I once wrote an "ESSAY" to defend him at soapcentral when they were reporting him being fired. I just read the news at cnn. That's how I ended up back at this board. I used to watch ATWT everyday until my vcr died. It used to be my favorite soap.

While the family is coming together, Dusty will be trying to rip them apart in some way or another. He hates Paul with a passion, so his constant pursuit of him will wind up possibly upsetting Barbara in some way (depending if the writers put her in the mix).

I know this sounds mean, but I absolutely felt nothing for Dusty in his time of sadness. His arrogance and attitude just damaged any possible liking of him, even during this storyline. I'm far more into Jennifer's family uniting together, which includes Paul in some way.

I hope that they continue to bring Barbara and Gwen closer, however, I do wish Gwen would regain some of the edge that she had when she first came to Oakdale. It's good that she's being kinder, but I would just like for that rough edge she had to return abit.

Although Jack was right in regards to Jade, Carly did have a solid point that he can't just walk into the house like he still stays there. His butt decided to walk out on her because of all her "lies" and schemes, yet he continues to make appearances there. I can't wait to see the look on Jack's face when Simon comes smiling Carly's way. He'll be having that number on speed dial calling every minute of the day to tell Carly she's making a "mistake".

I'm glad they are ending this whole stupid "deserted island" storyline...they shouldn't have had it in the first place.

I think Terri Colombino has proven that she can do good work when it's required of her, like during her heartbreaking scenes after she killed Nick. But 99% of what Katie does is unnecessary...it's just filler for the better storylines IMO. Even the teen storylines are better than the stuff that Katie does.

I'm surprised that Terri has stayed on the show this long. Overall, I do like Katie, but her storylines are pathetic. When's the last time, aside from Katie and Mike's recent breakup, that she had a good storyline? It must have been years. I don't know what's worse: not getting a lot of storylines but having scenes that are really good, or always getting airtime but having utter crap. Katie has been married 4 times already, but she has yet to have a child...or to even consider having children. She also doesn't even have a consistent job...it changes w/ every storyline. Her brother went to prison for switching babies, yet she didn't even acknowledge that!

I totally agree, he's making it out to be all about him, when there are lots of others grieving this death. Exactly how long have they been together any way? Her parents loved her all of her life, he knew for not much and he acts like has the right to make all the decisions for her, including not letting them take her body to pass on.

I just can't stand him. I never really liked him, but now I really don't!

I agree. I just wasn't convinced with Dusty that this was the "love of his life". They had been together since December! And even then, he had just dumped Meg. The writers tried to make Dusty and Jen out to be this supercouple, and I just didn't buy it...like I don't buy his "good guy" attitude. Sure, Dusty was there when Jen gave birth and he helped getting her baby back, but he did some bad stuff too.

Besides, Dusty did not have any right to hold a vigil for Jen's body the whole night...that is just creepy. There are people like Barbara and Hal who just lost their daughter, someone they've known her whole life and and raised and saw grow up, who were ready to have her body taken away. Even Paul had more of a right to be there than Dusty. He was her husband for less than one day, and the only reason why they got married that quickly was b/c she was dying; otherwise, they probably wouldn't have made it to the altar, and if they did, they would have been divorced in less than a year anyway.
