YES to Kat's POV. Everyone wants to talk revenge, but it was KAT who wanted to call a truce at one point. But I guess we are just going to act like that didn't happen on screen.

Now, hold on. I am all for trying to see the other side, but what is this truce we speak of? I mean was it the same kind of "truce" Kat pulled at her birthday just to not look like the bad guy?

Now, Kat has a right to dislike Eva, but she was never good to her. While she was right to dislike Eva at first, she treated Eva like trash because of her outfits, class, etc. before she even knew the girl. Kat is a princess and Martin was right to call that out, but not because she was scared to be a donor.

MVJ definitely needs to slow down with her unwarranted fascination with Jon Lindstrom - the character is awfully written, but there is nothing interesting about Lindstrom’s performance either. Frankly

Characters aside, the scenes between Keith Robinson and Colby Nixon are among the most compelling scenes that I've scene so far on BTG. Coming from the theater, having written scenes between two lone characters in a confined space on a stage, watching these scenes play out, it was the basic definition of Drama, no-frills but genuine conflict playing out at different levels.

IIRC, Kat wanted to call a truce but when she went to Eva's apartment, found her in bed with Tomas (a bit contrived by the writers, lol).

Oh, yes I do remember that now. @Taoboi You are correct, but Eva had tried to similarly wanted peace with Kat and asked as much on a few occasions. While I do think this is a big ask of Kat, considering what Eva and her mother did, it was no less an option on the table which Kat refused to take because of her deep hatred for Eva.

That, that and that!

Kat's feeling are very valid, but meh. She doesn't want to help Eva, admit it and take whatever comes.

They have no budget for Madison's wardrobe? Im sick of seeing her in this ugly recycled shirt

Madison has said out loud that she isn't a fashionista type. She definitely the type to buy some nice ass clothes, repeatedly wear those clothes until she gets sick of it, then donate it.

At this point, we don't need another death. Tomas could have a family emergency and have to hotfoot back to PuertoRico.

I don't want Tomas to leave because the concept of the character is important. He's a working class Hispanic man who's a immigrant and trying to social climb through marriage to a black rich girl. Despite the actor being terrible the Eva Tomas Kat love triangle was an good set up. Eva represents his authenticity and Kat represents his shortcut to a bigger wallet. By choosing Kat he chooses money and status over love. If Tomas had chose Eva that would be a working class black woman and Hispanic guy working their up the socioeconomic pyramid. The arrival of Iziah wouldn't change that. If anything a Eva Tomas Iziah love triangle would've still worked. Iziah is a lower middle class black guy who's a flawed bad boy, raised by cops, but found refuge in the streets and a mobster mentor. Tomas being mentored by a morally ambiguous cheating lawyer like Bill would also be an interesting subtext for him while having confrontations with Iziah. Tomas lack of a backbone with Bill could also be a interesting subtext in comparison to the more mellowed out dynamic between Iziah and Joey.

Tomas is not an immigrant

Unfortunately AA doesn't bring anything to the role. Are you calling for a recast? Because he hasn't improved since the beginning.

Puerto Rico is part of the United States.

I'll say this until I'm blue in the face, but Kat is probably the best written character on the soap and one of the best acted characters on this particular soap. She can be petty, she can be funny, she can be razor sharp, and she can be impulsive.. but the one thing anyone that watches the show can agree on is that she isn't boring.

The current story with Kat/Eva kind of reminds me of the ER episode with the two sisters where one sister needed a liver transplant and the younger sister refusing to give it because she had a sporting event she needed to play.. and being guilted for not agreeing right away.

Seeing some of the other forums and other places on social media, a lot of people are upset at Kat for being selfish (and they also seem to not like Dani)... but the thing is that a soap opera needs a character that isn't agreeable and can be the spark that creates good scenes and content. If it weren't for Kat.. the Duprees would be Hallmark Channel material.

This makes me wonder something. If the writers are able to write a character like Kat, and to a lesser extent Eva, so well... why do they seem to have trouble with the Chelsea character? The actress has improved quite a bit over the last year, but the writers seem to treat her as an afterthought and only to be bought out for family gatherings, to be a voice of reason for Kat or Dani, and to remind people that she's non-hetero.

And a few people wonder how the show could possibly think to move Hayley over to Y & R if she's been trying to poison Bill. If SPS/Leslie can walk around free after trying to kill Laura twice.. then what's to stop Miss Hayley from walking away from Bill with a nice little settlement for being cheated on and moving over to Genoa City. As others have mentioned, Hayley is a Bill Bell character in spades as seen in Jill, Nina, and to a lesser extent Lauren. But with the current people running Y & R, they'd ruin her in a heartbeat... but it's better then the box that Hayley is in on this soap (remember how excited we were whenever she would run into a character outside Bill/Dani like Derek, Ashley, Caroline, etc?)

Kat's meltdown is in keeping with her character-spoilt, snobbish and putting herself first. Like Eva on her death bed is the equivalent of her having to be tested and possibly give up a kidney. those are valid concerns but her stance isn't helping her cause.

Colby plays it well and Keith and Lami were strong also.

The scene with Shanice and Leslie where,Leslie started her shtick and Shanice shut her down was another highlight.

The tornado has had consequences, and brought the drama.

A good episode with no Bonnie McBride and Clyde Armstrong or Dupree Strong and all the better for it.
