Alex Alegria is the worst actor that ever graced CBS daytime, and I've seen some pretty bad acting on the CBS soaps.

It's a deathmatch between him and Garren Stitt (Dead Oscar) on GH for me.

For me, it's gotta be that twink who played Shayne (or "Gayne," as many called him at the time) on GL. You know, the Shayne who wanted to play baseball and whose bare ass basically got John Conboy fired? I can't remember his name atm, but he made Scott Bailey look good, and that's not easy to do!

Softcore gay oil wrestler Marty West!

At one point today, while declining to take Kat's money to purchase a partnership interest in the Baltimore law firm, Alex Alegria demonstrated his "acting skills" by clenching his fists tightly without ever changing his facial expression. I honestly can't recall ever seeing such an awkward actor on television before.

Vanessa really seemed whorish and desperate today when she sat there like a blonde gargoyle watching her "date" disparage Beautiful Nicole (who's supposedly her best friend) at the dinner table, then followed him back to the Golden Corral Casino and basically told him, "I love my children and my friends, but I love you even more even though I know you're a criminal."

The biggest problem I have with Tomas is that they have such an easy out for him: kill him off. We've suffered long enough and we know he won't grow as an actor. Plus the Haley story has been dragging it's feet like everything else. It would make sense to off him to continue to prolong that story.

She is such a disappointment. Not only is she a bad mother but she's clearly a terrible friend. I wish they'd truly commit to bringing Deanna and Donnell on full-time. Not only have I really enjoyed them but I need them actively giving her hell and investigating Vanessa and Joey.

Texas Battle was pretty awful on B&B and I'm convinced he was cast because someone saw his schlong on a fake reality show.

original release date: Friday, April 3, 2026 | writers: Natalie Minardi Slater, Skyy Sandifer | director: Michael V. Pomarico

Thoughts:

  • Ms Anita looks stunning in her Easter best! I love seeing her up and about, even though I am sure she would prefer to be resting; however, she is the Dupree matriarch and holds that title well.

  • Nice seeing Bill and Dani be cordial for Easter brunch, much to the displeasure of Hayley.

  • Kial and Nicole are luminous, but Carlton is not liking what he is seeing. Perhaps he should have kept his mouth shut, and then he would be the one at brunch!

  • Carlton is afraid of bunnies? Okay, Anya Jenkins realness! That is kind of hilarious.

  • Jacob is really trying to take charge of this investigation. But I cannot help but feel like he's causing more problems than resolution.

  • Omg, the Easter bunny going around the country club to the tables has to be one of the most adorable things I have ever seen in a long, long time. This is so sweet.

  • Anastasia and Katherine would get along with this "not a real Dupree" thing that she is harping on. But Ms Anita is not going to let that kind of language fly, especially on Easter. Step off, Anastasia.

  • Oop... Anastasia was gagged and her wig was shifted by Anita's firm warming. "You got me?" Oh, that sent chills down my spine.

  • I know Hayley is fuming, both on the inside and the outside, with every single Dupree wanting to talk to Bill. 🤣

  • It is nice seeing Andre and Kial connect through their history of traveling for their occupations.

  • I know she would rather be with Jacob right now, but it is sweet that both Bill and Dani are taking this moment to sit down and speak with Naomi, showing their joint support for their daughter.

  • Lia is scary as Hell. If I turned around and her cold, steely demeanour were behind me, I would likely soil myself. "Every action is a consequence someone must pay." Whew. That speaks volumes and you know it was a warning.

  • Miss Jennifer Holliday! The Icon! The Legend! She looks stunning!

Notes:

  • Love that we are ending the week with a Slater breakdown. A classic soap script day. Yes!

  • I do not know if it was intentional or not, but that wig on Tamara Tunie (Anita) actually looks like one, which I appreciate. Anything to allow Anita to make herself feel like she is not battling cancer while out in public at the country club.

  • The fashion in today's episode is bright and light, and everyone looks impeccable. Every single cast member looks great in their outfits, and it definitely gives off Easter Sunday brunch vibes.

  • Beyond the Gates consistently excels in its portrayal of sex scenes. They are well produced, natural, and very intimate. Amazing.

  • Out of all of the musical guest stars, Holliday is the best yet. She is a true Icon and seeing her grace my television screen today was such a gift. She took us to CHURCH and I usually do not attend, but today I happily did!

I know that the show had been in the works in MVJ's head for years, and I wonder when it came to making her dream a reality if anyone sat her down and explained to her that some of her ideas might need to be adjusted/trimmed back due to budget concerns. Had this been the 80s or 90s, a lot of the Plasma story would be shown instead of told and the clinic would be shown as well... and probably SPS's Frankenstein esque new house, etc. I'm sure the clinic will be featured eventually.

In regards to people working at Orphey Jeans instead of an office, I just want to point out that it's 2026 and a lot of people do work from an Orphey Jeans or a coffee shop during the day. Vanessa as a real estate person doesn't really need an office since real estate people are out and about meeting clients, making sure the houses she's showing are in tip top shape, advertising her listings on social media, etc.

Naomi seems more like a prosecutor so her job would require her to be at the police station a lot so she doesn't need an office. I would say a clinic set should have been created since that seems to be a new place for the plasma ring to occur. Eva/Kat/Chelsea have jobs that can be done remotely.. same as Dani. Nicole has an office.. actually she has two offices (one at home for her outside functions and one at the office for patients). Perhaps one of her offices could have been used for another character.

In regards to the recent episodes, seeing Vanessa/Deanna/Donnell together makes me really sad that the show didn't think to feature them both on recurring basis from the start. That way we could have seen both Deanna and Donnell interacting with Doug, being curious about what Vanessa was doing, and they could have been mixing it up with the other younger people... perhaps Chelsea could have used Deanna to help with her new line and perhaps Donnell could have had issues with hazing at his frat, etc. I guess I'm saying again that Tyyrell/Samantha weren't needed and should have remained younger kids... perhaps still have featured June in her unhoused story, getting herself a job at Orphey Genes, becoming more sure of herself.. and later on down the road have it come out that Tyrrell/Samantha were her kids.

The actress that plays Deanna looks like she could be Vanessas daughter and has father's quick temper while Donnell has Vanessa's tortured look mixed with Doug's intensity. Great casting for both.

Jacob thinks he is smart, but he's really reckless. Changing the drop off location is asking for trouble.

Nicole playing games with Carlton and Kial is so immature and petty. She knew that Carlton to would see her there with Kial. At this point they should both leave her alone because she's just being a player.

Did he? I dont think he would still assume that Carlton would show up considering Nicole slept withhim last night. I blame her bc didnt disinvite him. She's trifling

Jacob has now become the most annoying character to me. I know it's the writing, but he's just not an intelligent police officer. I don't buy his tough guy act like he's from the streets. It often makes me laugh.

I'm so glad that Hayley's con is starting to heat up again. I want her busted, but I also want her to stick around Fairmont Crest.

I want Nicole to make a decision already. Her playing both Kial and Carlton has been going on for too long. Of course, I think she should pick Kial.

  • Dominique Madison (Lynette) is delicious, and part of me wishes she would have been cast as Hayley over Marquita Goings.

I've been thinking about that too. (And that TPTB have the same opinion as well?)

They have typically overcorrected on Nicole being seen as a too chaste, saintly character last year by letting her take her hair down and have sexy fun. There's nothing wrong with that, except it is now April and Nicole is still bouncing between these guys from week to week, openly setting them against each other and then acting shocked when they decide to compete for her attention. That and the constant mentions of "Nikki" like it's a real thing when it's clearly become an annoying BTS meme are dumb. Nicole needs to have some more reflection on her own behavior.
